Parker's was quiet the Friday afternoon we visited which was great because I had a starving teenager with me . He said he felt so hungry that he wanted two dozen wings. He's not really starving just a teenager who is burning 5000 calories a day. We stopped in and the waitress was very attentive and quick with drinks and taking our order. Great spot in the village. We went there with a friend and family member when visiting the area. The regular menu is typical bar food plus a couple of items, like Pesto Pasta. They also have a couple of specials, like the glazed pork chop, which is absolutely wonderful. Round that out with an extensive beer on tap list and you have a winner. I had a Genessee Mango Peach Kolsch, which was a great beer. After years of making fun of Genessee-branded beers I had to eat my words. Highly recommend trying it. The place itself is rustic and relatively quiet, even though they were quite busy. The service was great and friendly, the close-caption TVs were tuned to the Padres game - 2,500 miles from San Diego and we still got to watch our hometown team. The kitchen was a little slow turning out dishes, so when my wife's Pesto Pasta turned out to be something else, she didn't even say anything. It was a pasta dish, just not Pesto and she said it was very good, just not what she ordered, which cost Parker's the one star. read more

On a recent trip up to the Finger Lakes, my wife and I stayed in Newark. Not unusual since we always stay in Newark when we're up there. Parker's was suggested by the hotel as a quick walk and good food and it's one of two or three places to have a meal close by. The place is large and bright and there are plenty of TV's if your here on a game day-night. A great team welcomed us as we entered, sat us and quickly came by for a drink order and questions. It was a simple order from us. Helene had the onion soup (well done cheese) and the Grilled Chicken Salad, I had the a Burger Platter. Everything came out quickly and well cooked. Tasty chicken and a well-cooked burger with fries. The team here was wonderful and anyone walking by either filled our glasses or took away plates. I love to see the teamwork in these places. We normally stay in Geneva and due to a change of plans we decided to stay in Newark. As we throughly enjoy Parker's in Geneva. Score for us that there was a Parker's in Newark! This location is less busy but very bright and accommodating. Plenty of TVs for the sports authentic and perfect for a date at the same time. I had the steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms washed down with a beautiful cosmo. Parkers a local change that does not disappoint. read more

My girlfriend and I visited Parker's Grille for dinner on 23 July 2024. The weather was nice that evening so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. We got the mozzarella sticks and tortilla chips as an appetizer, which were a nice way to start the meal. I had the chicken pesto pasta and she the beef on weck. The chicken pasta was perfectly prepared and a great serving size. She'd never had a beef on weck sandwich despite living in Buffalo for three years. It was a tasty introduction to the western NY classic and she loved it. A great meal at a good price. I'd definitely go back here for a meal. read more

I was in town visiting my parents for the holidays and discovered that this place has definitely gone downhill in the past few years, we arrived with almost nobody there as it was before the normal time for a dinner rush. Was met with overpriced food which can be understood with rising costs for restaurants but the menu has definitely changed for the worse. I live in a major metro currently and the prices are cheaper or at least equal for better quality. The food was just not good - bland prime rib, burnt burgers, small portion of chicken fingers were complaints from the entire group. My husband had wanted to order more food for himself but didn't bother as the service was also inadequate. Nobody came back until we were nearly done eating to check how we were doing or for refills. I heard another party ask where their food was and they were told they'd check to see if it was put in when the entire time before that the restaurant had been nearly empty. Then as we are sitting there with empty plates waiting for the check someone asked if we wanted a refill we would have wanted 20 minutes before. I would have understood the lack of service if they were busy but that wasn't the case. Will not be back, which is unfortunate with the limited options around and that I used to enjoy eating here. read more

Definitely glad we stopped here for lunch on a Friday. They weren't too busy, service was fast and friendly. Their specials change everyday, & all looked delicious. Our server Kira was also fantastic. The food and service was so good we went back 2 more times while we were in town. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Covid 19 compliant. I have been eating here on and off for years. It is a hit and miss for me. Tonight it was a hit in my opinion. They did not rush us. The menu changed a lot sense they reopened after the COVID 19 pandemic. Clean as always but the impressed part for tonight, thou disappointed with the hummus and ribs that where taken off the menu,( the 2 things we went there for) they prepared mybtaco salad just the way I asked. I wanted it placed in the microwave to melt the cheese. I new lettece would wilt but that is fine by me. I mention this be cuz you can see in my picture the bowl is not full looking. This came nice and hot and the taco sauce was wonderful. I eat pretnear all of it! My husband ordered fries and steak sandwich that can with the ajus and horseradish. Like the beef on a wick. He did not complain. We ordered beer and wine. I do not care for there mix drinks. You will park behind the building and enter from the rear entrance. A lot of people love Parker's bar and grill. When I head to my hometown I generally eat and drink at Parker's. This is a great choice for my whole family because everyone can find something they like. The menu is typical American and bar food with a few random Tex-Mex choices. I remember when Parker's opened in town, they were super ambitious with the beer choices, there was a great mix of American microbrew with a diverse variety of flavors- but it's a small, rural town, and so to meet the demand of the community several of the draft lines are dedicated to mass market American/ Canadian beers like Bud Light and Labatt's. Upstate New York is more Canada than NYC and people need their Labatt's. The nitro line is dedicated to Guinness. American and bar food is popular because it tastes really good! Parker's fits the bill if you're looking for a burger and fries or a good sandwich. On my last visit I had a tuna melt (hold the bacon) and a side salad with ranch. We were quickly seated at a booth. There were kids in my party and food came quickly even when the bar was filling up on a Saturday night. I've worked in restaurants in small towns before and I know that to stay afloat you need people to come in more than one time per week, and Parker's has the regular game on lock. Parker's is a great place to grab a bite and get a taste of Newark local flavor. read more

We stopped in for a bite to eat with our four children. This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the nearby bed-and-breakfast we were staying at. We were very pleased with the quality of food and service. The portions were appropriately sized, and we certainly did not leave hungry. I feel like this is a great value for the food we ordered. I always loved Parkers, but since Covid, I've believe that the restaurant has gone downhill. The food still tastes good, but I don't like getting deli turkey instead of real turkey when I order turkey sandwiches they also used to carry steak fries, which are unfortunately gone now, the hamburgers are also very good but the role his sobriety that it is hard to eat all of it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone young or in general, the bartenders last night were nothing but rude and nasty towards me, when all I did was step foot in building. They're aren't updated or educated on the new IDs New York has now with DOUBLE IDENTIFICATION SECURITY. But are worried about fakes.... odd. They made me feel unwelcome, uncomfortable & embarrassed me in front of the whole bar making it out that I had a fake. They passed my ID around having people look at it and it got in the hands of a stranger who wasn't even an employee. I went to lengths of telling her to call the police to check it, hoping to maybe educate herself. Went here on a whim cause its been a while since they were reviewed.....here goes. Started with the Spicy Zucchini Soup. It sure was spicy. The only shame is even though it was homemade the sausage overpowered every other flavor in the soup and there were some chunks of sausage the size of meatballs. The fresh tomatoes zucchini and all else just got lost in the sausage flavor. Oh well on to the 1/2 dozen chicken wings. I ordered all flats & it was a non-issue which was a nice change. I ordered them well done but sadly they weren't. The mild sauce was good & the wings a good size but had some feathers still in them. It was served with 3 2inch pieces of celery. Could have been more. Then I tried the Beef on Weck with au jus & horseradish. The beef while not juicy was very tender and the roll very fresh. I had to ask for utensils to add the horseradish and it was good but unfortunately the au jus tasted like watered down beef broth. The curly fries were very tasty. To go I ordered the shrimp basket with fries. It only comes with 6 shrimp so I asked them to double it and they only charged me $4 more. Used a credit card to pay for my food. They punched my card in manually and messed it up. Then I get a call from the police saying parkers accused me of using a stolen credit card to pay for my meal. Ive been coming here for ages, let me get right to it. Its a bar that serves awesome food and has great people. Simple as that. No frills, all thrills, zero nonsense. Food is fast, delicious, and cheap the way it's meant to be the decore is a cozy irish pub feel and the staff are friendly and quick. Definitely a place to become a regular. The menu is always the same and with that comes its Achilles heel, I would love to see somw variety in this place! I hope to be back soon! read more

We were traveling in the area, finding many a pizza place when we found this little gem in the middle of Newark, NY. Very clean very friendly and attentive staff! We parked behind the restaurant and entered in the rear as street parking is limited, the lot had plenty of room. We were greeted immediately upon entry and seated immediately. Masks required and social distancing observed. There were full meals in front of everyone at the bar, and they were properly distanced. Very clean and well sanitized modern warehouse style warm inviting atmosphere. Families and friends all having a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Drink list is fun and unique, one of my friends had the "Scooby Doo", which she very much enjoyed. Foods are all fresh and cooked as ordered. Buffalo chicken salad was delicious. They have more than your average bar-fare, and they serve it up well and with a smile. I highly recommend and if in the area again will definitely return. read more

Worst meal I have ever had at Parker's!! I have been going to Parker's since they opened in Geneva. My wife and I had dinner there tonight and the Ruben sandwich I had was terrible! The corned beef was tougher than shoe leather!! There was no sauerkraut on the sandwich, and the bread was burnt!! My wife had a chicken sandwich and said that it tasted funny! Food and drinks have always been amazing but can't say the same thing about the service. Appetizer has been brought out after our entrees and we've been asked if we wanted our check before we had even gotten our food (?!). The waitress was friendly and was nice to take one our drinks off the bill but I'd rather pay full price for everything instead of wait around and feel like we've been forgotten. I'm understanding of being busy and having to wait longer than usual, but it seems to be the same excuses every time. read more

Good selection of domestic and craft beers, great menu ranging from finger foods to fancy meals. Very good service and friendly place. Parker's is our families "treat" for occasional outings. I Live in Newark and have been to this Parker's numerous times. Food is just OK most of the time and service is hit or miss. The owner is never there and it shows. The new Parker's in Seneca Falls Is amazing, food and the service as well as the Geneva Parker's. The owner has continued to keep the place up and remodels the Geneva Parker's each year. I don't think the Newark one has had anything done to it since it opened. Kind of dirty. Though there is nothing in Newark other than Parker's and the Corner Tavern so you are limited with places to go if you are looking to stay in Newark. read more

One of the worst restaurants I have visited worldwide. Poor service, worst food. Probably the third worse NY strip I have had in my life. The worst was in S. Africa. The staff didn't seem to care. Service was slow, I can't think of anything that would make me visit there again and I only live about a mile away. It was my second try there since an equally bad meal about a year ago. I hoped it had improved. I was wrong. Never again. Save your money. The steak was supposed to come from upstate NY. If so avoid NY steaks like a plague. The food is better than a diner, but not anything high end by any means. The offerings are pretty standard, not much unique that you couldn't find same or similar elsewhere nearby. Pretty standard American style restaurant, but the prices aren't too bad for the general area. The service is hit or miss though. Most recently had a rude experience when placing an order for pickup, and prior had someone forget to put our food order through (they did end up bringing it out later after we received a second order we placed, albeit the wrong item. At least they didn't charge us for the screw-up). I have worked in the business so I know it can be tough, and I don't hold a grudge as long as a wrong becomes a right. We will go back again for sure. Note also that they have pool tables that are paid per the hour instead of per game. That is one reason to go back for sure! All in all it is a three out of five kind of place. Good enough to visit here and there, but not really our primary go-to. There are a couple other places nearby with similar food style and prices, so we like to bounce between the three here and there. read more

We docked in Newark while cruising the Erie Canal. The Parker Grill is a Five minute walk and well worth it. Great burgers and sandwiches. The service was slow but when we said something they threw in desserts for free. read more
