Turns out it's just a small one room but, it was as clean a place as we've ever stayed. Had everything we needed as well. Frig, microwave, stove, sink, utensils, TV, and free Wi-FI. There is also a multi-family cabin there as well. There are some nice hiking trails around also. It's in the middle of nowhere but, it is a very nice place to stay. The owner is a very nice lady and will offer information if you need. She rents mostly to fisherman and hunters during the seasons. We will go back.

Their location is good for being so close to the Porcupine Mountains State Park, but there are…read moreseveral other places nearby at considerably lower cost. We paid $190 per night (incl. tax). One of the features that attracted us was their in-cabin fireplaces, so we thought we would splurge a bit and pay the high price. Come to find out, the fireplaces are "closed" each summer until Sept. 15th, something that is NOT mentioned on their website. We didn't find this out until we were locked into our reservation. If they had acknowledged that their website should state that their fireplaces are seasonal and that they would correct it, it wouldn't have bothered me so much. Instead I was told "you should have asked". On the first day of our stay, it was low 50's with strong winds and rain. A fire in the fireplace would have been a nice option. Other complaints: the WIFI barely registered, the mattresses seemed to be on the inexpensive side, and the sheets were cotton/poly blend. On the plus side, the cabins are clean and modern, and the beach is nice.

We pretty much were the only ones in our wing of the lodge and it was great. Great showers, great roomy room, and view of what would be a lake, but it was iced over. The room was nice and cozy warm too. It would have been nice to have a channel to know what we were watching but we were gone a lot. Room service was great too! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. One thing, feedback wise, is maybe to put a door before the hallway where the rooms are. The voices echo in the lobby and we could hear them all the way down the hallway. A little thing, but we noticed it. We would definitely stay here again, it was delightful and a great find!!

The owner emailed us within 10 minutes of reserving online letting us know they would have a room ready. We were again greeted by the owner at check-in, and she could not have been more genuinely friendly. Our room was very clean, and the price was great. If you're in the area, shop local and don't stay in one of the chain hotels. Places like this deserve business.
