We just purchased a new house in Pittsburgh, not so far from this store, we called them and scheduled appointment change the lock on our closing day, in the afternoon. We have front and back exterior door with very old hardware that make the door locking process real hard, we almost lock our self out with the real estate agent several times... Uri , the locksmith from Murray Ave locksmith, called us on the same day we scheduled to double check the time and the address, this guy is very nice and professional, his craftsman skills are awesome. He show up on time with marked truck and dress up with locksmith shirt with Murray Avenue locksmith logo. I got there contact information from the guy that fix our garage in our previous house and I made quick search about this company -they have great reputation in Squirrel Hill and they very known in this local community . Uri removed the old mechanism hardware from both doors and covered the old holes using antic brass plates on both sided of the doors and antique brass locks we purchased from him. the locksmith stay in our house maybe 4 continuously hours and work very hard. He was extremely nice and did outstanding job. I'm reading the reviews about them, here on Yelp, and see his name popup several times -no doubt this guy know his job and know how to treat customers! The price wasn't cheap , I'm telling you, but worth every dime! This is my first time ever writing a Yelp Review, so bear with me! I wish I could give 10 stars to Murray Avenue Locksmith. Our Pitt student accidentally lost her car keys so we reached out to Murray Ave Locksmith for help. It was our lucky day as we were sent a locksmith angel in Dovid from Murray Ave. Locksmith. I cannot thank this man enough for going above and beyond in helping us get replacement keys. He immediately responded to our call and came right out to see how he could help. Dovid never gave up on helping us, even though we made this man WORK HARD (thanks in part to a faulty key code given to us by Ford). Dovid came out 3 days in a row and was determined to get us new keys despite it not being an easy task! He kept in great, constant communication (even answered my frantic text at 10pm!), was very fair with pricing, and was just so pleasant to work with (never complained once even though it was snowing and cold and he was stuck outside with our car for multiple hours hand cutting keys for us!). Excellent customer service and key replacement for our two cars. When we lost a keyring with key fobs for our two cars, we were left with only one each. Not wanting to take a chance on getting locked out, we searched for options for replacements. Car dealers were not reassuring--expensive and scheduling is quite a chore, especially when two cars are involved. Dovid at Murray Avenue Locksmith had one key in stock and ordered the other, and a couple days later called to schedule. He offered to come to our home and perform the work here--no need to coordinate with a busy dealer and no need to drive two vehicles there. Dovid came right away and an hour later provided us with two key fobs with cut keys. Key fobs are expensive. You can buy them online, but then you've got to schedule programming and hope they can also cut the manual key, and pay separately. Dovid at Murray Avenue Locksmith does both, uses OEM keys, and guarantees his work. For him to come to our house, provide two fobs with manual keys, program and cut them, the cost was $450--cheaper than the dealers and certainly more convenient. I was very pleased to find Murray Ave Locksmith! I lost my keyless fob for my land rover while at the Rivers casino on a Friday. No fob and a locked car equals Uber home! Two days later it had still not been turned in. I ordered a fob from Amazon. After calling around for help getting into my locked car and programming a new keyless fob I was given all kinds of poor advice. Bobby Rahal in Wexford needed it towed to them and then,"because the car was locked" would require not just a new fob, but TWO fobs AND some other new component to reset the alarm. Price? $2200!!!!!! Another place would not use the fob I purchased online but would bring one to me and program it for $800 (which sounded better than Rahal). Finally, I spoke to Tony at Murray Ave Locksmith. Thank goodness for persistence! Tony met me at my car, had to wait for me to get there, and still was friendly and professional. And efficient!! I stopped by to get a spare key for my truck and ended up inquiring about an installation of a Schlage combo lock for my home. I left my mobile # and was told that someone will call me soon. Within 10 minutes I received a call from one of the owner, who's also the installer, who immediately scheduled a time to meet me at my home to get the original key. That afternoon i had a spare key that worked perfectly. At the same time David also helped me to pick the proper Schlage lockset for my home. The lockset came 2 days later and within 30 minutes David (owner/installer) finished the installation and tested the new set to ensure proper operation. Duplicate auto keys. Above and beyond helpful! Dealer I purchased my car from, near Murrysville , without naming names, refused to provide key code to me or locksmith at Murray Avenue when I called asking for key code. Was only given one key when purchased car two weeks prior, and when I mentioned that was told to call later since it was late and service department employees went home. Murray Ave locksmith even spoke to them on phone. Dealer stated it was "illegal" to provide that information. A gentleman at the locksmith attempted to look up my code online without success. I had purchased blank keys online and needed them cut. Nevertheless, they did not give up and somehow were able to eventually locate my code and keys were made for my car. I am very grateful they did not give up and were kind enough to spend so much time assisting me. True professional!! Definitely recommend! read more

Great Service, friendly, courteous, quick, and efficient. I had a Toyota key reproduced with the internal chip and key fab. They did a superb job and even made another master key for me, not merely a valet key. The pricing was very reasonable; less than what I was expecting to pay, and they did it quickly on the spot. Also, I've had house keys copied at other places from my originals, that didn't work well. This time I went to Murray Ave Locksmith without the original, and was hesitant to make a copy of a copy, but even from the copy, my new keys work like a charm! We needed the locks changed on our doors to our business and called around quoted prices from many places. Uri called me back and was very professional as well as direct with pricing. He came within 45 minutes and we had a new lock! I had to get copied & the women in the store did a quick job. This is my second experience using Murray locksmith, this evening I had the pleasure of having Dan come to my home very quickly made two keys for my Honda Odyssey. Earlier today I noticed that I could not find either set of my keys so I called Murray locksmith and Dan assured me that yes he could make the keys he could program them to my car and he could do them this evening as I have things to do tomorrow. our 2003 Honda Pilot suv would not let us turn the ignition key no matter how many times we tried (and tried 2 separate keys). Over 80 complaints on internet about the problem. Without the full story's details After a lot of failed searching Murry Ave Locksmith's saved me about 400 bucks by being able to cut a replacement car key, using just a code from the manufacture because I had no original to copy from. The dealer wanted over $450 dollars to order a key from the factory.
