The best tacos I've had outside of Mexico. I tie them with the ones I got in Vegas. The meat was so tender a flavorful. They have a toppings bar with all the necessary fixings to make the tacos more amazing. Service was fast and courteous. The line moved quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was clean and a vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You know I had to get that coke in the bottle. I normally eat three and these were packed with meat and I could only eat two right then and the other one was lunch the next day and tasted good. The tortilla was a little soft but it was all good. Definitely keeping this on my list when I go back to Cleveland.

It's a mexican supermarket with a small restaurant inside. Prices are average for the supermarket. You can order burritos, quesadillas, etc. The portions you get for the price are great. Their burritos are huge. There is a side area to add your own toppings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a small seating area inside and a small patio for warmer weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff members are nice.

I visited La Plaza Supermarket in Cleveland yesterday, and it felt like being transported straight to the heart of Mexico. This Latin store seamlessly combines an authentic taqueria with a grocery store. Exploring the supermarket was so interesting! The store offers a wide array of Hispanic products (from Mexico and Latin America), from fresh produce and meats to traditional baked goods and specialty items. The store has meat, fish sections, and even a pharmacy on the main level. The lower level contains what seemed like jewelry store but I didn't explore there. It's a treasure trove for those seeking authentic ingredients or unique finds not commonly available in mainstream supermarkets. They have everything from piñatas to cacti in the produce section. They also have a lot of souvenirs at the front of the store and the aisles - candles, authentic cookware, figurines, sombreros, and other fun things. I bought chocolate and chocolate wafers at this store. I also grabbed a pastry from the bakery. I was really impressed with the wise range of choices for sweets. There were 1 1/2 aisles of them! I was underwhelmed by the number of coffee choices, there were only a few. I have yet to try the chocolate and my pastry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store was average in terms of cleanliness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The aisles were a bit tight but manageable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is not overly friendly but it was also my first time here. My experience was good overall. Even on Cinco de Mayo I saw many customers shopping at the store. I also briefly walked into the taqueria. There is connecting door from the grocery store to taqueria, and a separate door. The taqueria was pretty spacious. A decent amount of people were dining in. La Plaza Supermarket stands out as a culinary gem in Cleveland, offering an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. I would recommend visiting and checking out all the interesting products. Especially great if you're looking for Mexican souvenirs. Plan for a lot of time, there's lots to explore!

Authentic Mexican is hard to find, especially with the toppings cart. I love that you can add cilantro onions pickled onions to your liking. I love a good corn taco and ordered three different ones. The only thing that other reviews have stated is that they don't list prices. It seems that each taco is approximately $3.50 based on our order which is a little pricey for what the prices these stalls are known for. But if you compare it to lunch at an Americanized Mexican restaurant it still compares.

The food was good and authentic. Unfortunately they cover their menu that has photos so you need to know what you want without referring to a menu. There's seating for about 20 People inside if you'd like to eat inside. I'd go again

Always a delicious time when I come here The pozole is amazing, you can only get it on the weekends though....but definitely worth the wait!!!

We finally made a point to make it to La Plaza for lunch. It's been highly recommended and we were very excited. I am originally from New Mexico and have also lived in Los Angeles so people are quick to tell me how "authentic" La Plaza is. Which, it is. But I have also encountered some pretty solid tacos in Cleveland which has been a pleasant surprise... But, back to La Plaza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It seems to be continuously busy and bustling with a decent amount of seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't really understand why there aren't any prices on the menu other than they don't want you to realize how expensive it is. And, it is. Six tacos with chips, guacamole and a couple of sodas cost as much as two meals at more formal sit down restaurants. So, it doesn't feel like a great deal. The food was good but honestly less delicious once you realize that it's overpriced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But, it's also pretty loud and chaotic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, for me, it's just kind of "meh". The prices are high and the atmosphere isn't relaxing and it's just not worth the bother. The carne asada is really good but not much else to write home about.

This is not a fancy place (it's connected to a grocery store and I wouldn't say super clean), but it's got amazing food. It's fast casual style, so there's no table service. The tacos are quite customizable with the free salsa/topping bar: it's got sour cream, different salsas, guacamole, lime, etc. When I went, they were selling chips for $3.50 for a large container - not bad for fresh made. And they taste great: they're a good thickness and not salty. - Al pastor: the tender pork was seasoned perfectly. It's probably the best taco here that I tried. - Carne asada: the weakest one - it seems like they overcrowded the beef while cooking, because it was tough and watery. The seasoning was mediocre and nothing special. - Barbacoa: melt in your mouth tender and delicious, but quite fatty and heavy. Great in small doses, but eating too much would make you feel gross. - Chicken tamale: it was pretty good - the texture of the masa was soft and consistent, and meat was seasoned well. - Horchata: not too sweet and had the perfect balance of flavors. Good enough for me to go back here the next day ti get another horchata for a snack! If you want delicious, authentic Mexican food, look no further!

All you could want from a taco spot: delicious, no-frills, and attached to a supermarket. I got three of their vegan cactus tacos with rice and beans (they also had a vegetarian option with avocados and other veggies--ask the staff, they're very helpful). The salsa bar lets you serve yourself pico de gallo, sour cream, limes, pickled onions, and a variety of salsas and sauces. Perfect if you're a toppings fiend like myself! The tacos were pleasantly packed, and the double-wrapped corn tortillas were the perfect texture. I'd never tried cactus before, but I'd definitely get it again! Their horchata was the perfect creamy beverage addition to my meal. My friends also really enjoyed their al pastor/carnitas tacos, and we're itching for an excuse to come here again.

Delicious always! Worth the 25 minute drive from the East side. Tamales, tacos and pozole are favorites.

My kids loved the cookies and the cruffin. Adults got the cinnamon buns - which was great to have one without the icing and it was still decadent! Service was friendly and personable. I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.
