The selection & value can't be topped, especially if you need cuts made. It's a service that should not be overlooked. The folks in that cutting room are talented, and have gotten me out of a jamb or two. It's also my first stop for hard and soft wood, having purchased Ash, Sapele, and Maple for several projects over the years. I'm not a cabinet maker or a finish carpenter, nor do I pretend to be, but they'll treat you great, and give you advice just the same over there. You only need to visit once to understand that it's the people that work there that bring you back, not just the wood. And like the person who told me, I get a little smile across my face when I tell someone else about them for the first time.

We have never renovated a kitchen or bathroom, so we definitely need an education. Our contractor recommended Select Stone, and specifically Marcelo Araujo. From start to finish, Marcelo and his very tight team took great care of us (and we probably drove them crazy with a million questions). Marcelo: -Got us in for a consultation quickly. -Gave us a LOT of time in the warehouse and educated us on the differences between and individual properties of marble, granite, and quartz (and how each react to heat, chemicals, oils, etc). -Explained that the stone would be sealed at the factory, and told us specifically which sealer to use once the stone was installed and how often to repeat. -Asked us a lot of questions about how the kitchen and bathroom would be used. -Explained the pluses and minuses of regular height and full-height back splashes. -Explained the pluses and minuses of different types of edge/corner shapes -Helped us select a granite that compliments the cabinets and paint color perfectly. -Explained the challenges of working with old homes where every wall was not replaced and if the walls were not completely flat what would and would not work. -Explained that a lot more information would come out of the visit to measure the kitchen and bathroom. -Explained the pluses and minuses of stainless steel and ceramic sink bowls. -Gave us guidance on what types of faucets we should/should not purchase. The measuring team were also fantastic. Thorough, informative, and incredibly helpful explaining the challenges they discovered with the wall behind the stove and the bathroom walls. A full-height back splash would not work behind the stove because the wall was not flat enough. The bathroom walls were also not flat, and in some places there were going to be gaps too big to fill with caulk (and look good). Marcelo was always available for our many questions. If he wasn't in the office, everyone we spoke to seemed to know everything about the project, and were always helpful. The installation went perfectly! We will absolutely use Select Stone and Marcelo in the future, and have recommended them to friends. The only bad part? Our new tenant gets to enjoy all of this, not us!

Well #1 I didn't even get to explain my situation she cut me off mid sentence. #2 i always deliver to the side of their garage door (not the loading dock because any truck driver knows it's impossible to back in there) #3 any real truck driver knows if a customer says " the last guy did it" or "driver goes there all the time" 98% of the time is straight bs. & come to find out I had to load on the side of their building like I always do.

Driving by the front door made me think it was just a nice little office, but if you drive around the back it is full of everything you need. Compared to what most people probably come here for, my need was pretty small: three pieces of plywood each ranging from 4 to 6'. I dragged in an existing piece so I could explain what I was trying to do, and Bryan (almost positive that was his name) took me out back to suggest a few things. Because my toolbox at home is limited to a few screwdrivers, hammer and small hand saw he cut the three boards for me and they were the perfect sizes. I'm fascinated by places that are full of things I don't know anything about, so while he did the cutting I checked out all of the various types/sizes of wood and enjoyed how nice the place smelled. The experience was positive from start to finish…read more During my initial visit to the showroom, the two gracious women staff helped me narrow down my choices, and gave me a sample to take home to check for match with the existing wall tile. They made calls to check sizes and delivery dates for the tile I chose. Jimmy, the owner, stopped by meanwhile to evaluate the job, offer estimates of cost and date of installation. He was very specific about my needing to hire a plumber to move the fixtures before work began. This was helpful as I would not have realized this was necessary. The craftsman did a wonderful job laying the tile and caulking everywhere to avoid leaks. The weather was stifling hot but he worked so hard until finished.Beautiful work!

A worker from A&B Marble & Tile Design just regrouted my whole shower area, which is all tile from…read morebathtub to about 6 feet up and around the sink area. I'm a tenant and it's a super-old bathroom that had horrible looking grout with cracks in it and some of the tiles were bulging out a bit. The landlord ordered this work because of leaks in the building (so I have no idea what it cost). The worker spent about 6.5 hours working hard to complete this work. He arrived when expected (about a half hour early, but that was fine), and I was able to get my computer work done in another room of my small apartment (with my cat) while he was completing the work. I was impressed that he worked so diligently in a tiny space for such a long time. It's always difficult to be a tenant when work needs to be done. I appreciate that they came around the time expected and got the work done efficiently (i.e., so they don't need to come back). My old bathroom looks so nice now!

I had called and had to wait days only to hear that they never got my message. I did call the owner, Corey, who called me back and heard my concerns around the service department communication. I will say that every person that CFC has been sent to my house was courteous and knowledgeable however getting in touch with them to schedule a visit was more effort than expected.

If you are looking for a business that actually wants to provide the service you need, this is not the place.

First I am not a novice carpenter, I needed more than 40 pieces of PT lumber and other materials. When I checked the stock, the pieces in the bens were what everyone else didn't want, in rough shape, and in low numbers. I was told they would hand select from a new pallet and that their workers are "very good" at avoiding the bad pieces. I was assured that workers would select pieces that were straight, with at least one clean edge and no large cracks. What did I get, about a third of the pieces were the rejects, not what was promised. I would have done better at Home Depot!

She was patient, friendly, and very helpful in us navigating the type and colors we wanted. She helped us stay within our budget and allowed us to take some samples home, so we could see how some of the choices looked in our actual space. One of the pulls ended up breaking upon installation and Kristen was able to get us a replacement one, on the house, which was much appreciated. They listen to what you need, and give you a number of choices and recommendations without upselling . We had a big renovation and they were amazing to work with and love our choices . One bathroom knob was installed incorrectly by the builder and it would not unlock . Thinking it was a defective knob / lock we called Mack for guidance. Turns out our builder came and said it was not defective but their fault. We ordered a new piece to replace the mistake and the Owner of Mack called to insure we had what we needed . Hello??? Who does that these days?? A+ all around Mack - my go to for all hardware needs!!
