Sam and his crew were out all day yesterday dismantling the old boiler and installing the new one. They were friendly and engaged the whole time letting me observe the process. Sam called me over throughout to show me up close what had corroded in my old boiler, and to explain to me how it happened. He did the same during install of the new boiler to demonstrate all the critical aspects for maintenance--including letting me unscrew and rescrew a piece to practice for future cleaning. The new boiler is running smoothly right now. I feel like I understand its pieces. Sam even took an interest in diagnosing why my bathroom heating panel (which has never worked) wasn't heating. He cleaned out its vent and it has heat now. My cat is very happy to be warm right now. From the way Sam and his crew talked through all the aspects of the work they were doing, it was clear they take pride in the quality of the work. This wasn't just a job to get over and done with. The technicians show up promptly, do great work, and keep your home clean by wearing protective covers over their work boots (seriously, it's a small thing but it makes a world of difference to me). The annual service contracts are very reasonable, and contract customers get priority, which is awesome. You can't plan emergencies, but you can plan on setting up a contract! For twice-annual tuneups on our HVAC equipment, Luis and David have both been fantastic, giving good advice and making sure our systems (installed by another, less responsive company we no longer bother with) are in good order. I only wish we'd had them install our equipment in the first place. For insulation work, Corey and team were great about assessing our home, providing recommendations, and working on the fly when it turned out some of our walls already had insulation. These folks are easy to get ahold of, easy to work with, and unfailingly polite and awesome at their work. I can't say enough great things about them.

We initially called them out to locate a refrigerant leak. Without conducting a comprehensive diagnostic or mentioning that leaks could exist in multiple spots, they stated with complete certainty that the issue was the evaporator coil. They gave us two options: replace the entire system for $18,320 or replace the coil for $5,109, offering zero explanation of why a full replacement might actually be necessary. Trusting their diagnosis, we chose the cost-effective repair. Two weeks later, the AC broke down again. They returned, discovered a leak in the lines, and charged us an additional $3,357 to replace the pipes. Two weeks after that repair, the system failed a third time. At that point, the condenser was the only original component left, but because our unit is an obsolete model no longer in production, they told us we now had to replace the entire system anyway for $18,320, or pay $10,385 just for a condenser. We asked them to meet us halfway on pricing given that we had already paid $8,466 directly due to their sequential, incompetent diagnostic failures. Instead of working with us, Jonathan completely ghosted us. We reached out in May, and by August we still had no working AC. Every single step required chasing them down with multiple follow-ups just to get a basic response.
