I had a delightful time with my girlfriends at the Board Room. Located in the city center of memorial city. We came during HH but also tried many items off the menu. We really enjoyed the appetizers, flat breads, and boards. We did try one of the Entrees, the chicken piccata but that was our least favorite. The cocktails and wine was great. I even tried their mocktails as well. The presentation of the drinks and food are IG worthy. The mushroom flat bread was my favorite. The Chefs choice board was a wonderful array of meats, cheeses, fruits, jam, olives, nuts, and bread that complimented well. It was a good sample. Our waiter was excellent! He was patient with us and checked on us often to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and made sure our drinks were full. We did stay a few hours catching up with each other. Luckily it wasn't a busy evening so they had no qualms of us hanging our but we were consistently ordering more. The ambience was nice and chill. Love the large windows for natural lighting. Full elegant bar as well. It is a small space which means it can get full quickly. I did see a lot of afterwork gatherings and people making quick stops at the bar for a drink. Beautiful place for a pre-dinner stop or post-dinner drink/snack. I think the Board Room is a great addition to city center. We will definitely be back to try the larger boards. The girlfriends love charcuterie boards.

10/10 recommend!! Their SauvignonJohn brand house wine instantly stands out -- crisp, and bright! pairs beautifully with their curated boards and entrées. The desserts board is a showstopper, filled with bites that make sharing irresistible, and the charming fresh flowers for sale add a touch of beauty that extends beyond your meal. They've also thought of everything for convenience, offering grab-and-go lunch items that are fresh, affordable, and just as elegant as their dine-in fare. The full lunch and dinner menu transitions seamlessly from light daytime bites to hearty, flavorful dishes in the evening. And if you can, grab a seat on their amazing patio -- it's lush, inviting, and easily one of the best spots in Houston to sip wine and unwind

The board room is an amazing experience! The ambiance the food the wine are all outstanding!! Such a fun place to treat yourself ...went with a close friend and had a beautiful bottle of rose and enjoyed the crab cake signature board & wine snacks! Will definitely be coming back!!

Food was ok. Service was lacking. We felt ignored. Other than that, it was good for the price.

Val Scott Thomas…read more Y'all were a great team! I was invited out for the battle of the bruschettas and I was treated sublimely. It was wonderful. The food is always great so no complaints there but my brave review is definitely the service. There were laughs, and background information on the restaurant, some of the chefs, and servers and it was also very interesting. We tried so many menu items. We had like three or four boards and several brunch items. Of course, I got the cucumber honey lemonade and I made my friend try it too. Lol. Delicious as always. 10 out of 10. However, I will say that the new battle of the board is not Great like I remember. They had super basic flavors and the ones they did experiment with different combinations were actually pretty disgusting. So, after two boards of those, we got our true blue staple favorites on the original menu. That did the trick! I think I've been to this location once or twice but I absolutely will be coming again!

Place was humming with activity - a great sign/vibe. We were greeted and seated promptly at a booth. Anna, our server, acknowledged us right away and despite a heavy work load attending to us as well as a large gathering adjacent to us, followed up quite regularly with orders and water/drink too-ups. Kudos to her for maintaining poise and delivering good service. We ordered food off the Restaurant Week menu, which featured excellent combos. Got the seasonal Summer Corn Soup, Grilled Scallop, Lamb Loin (med-rare), and Cedar Plank-Grilled Salmon. For s drink we ordered a bottle of Jam Jar Shiraz - wanted a light, semi-sweet wine and it delivered (albeit at a 3x upcharge compared to retail). Food arrived fresh and was a visual delight. Saw expediters in the kitchen refining the presentation from the kitchen prior to delivery - a pleasing sight and indicative of a restaurant that cares about its customers and its reputation! The food itself - flavorful, plentiful, simply divine! "Meats" were juicy/succulent; soup was warm and fantastic - thick corn mash broth topped with grilled corn kernels, chives, and bacon bits; accompanying veggies were just perfectly cooked - asparagus, marbled potatoes, Yukon potato mash - wow, each dish better than the other! And the desserts - various mini servings of delectable, chocolatey, cheesecakey, creamy/Oreoy, stuff...sinful!! Truly a memorable experience - not cheap, set us back $190 with taxes and a generous tip, but entirely worth it! Restaurant Week rocks!

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.
