Food was brought out fast. My order was wrong but I'm too awkward to say anything. It wasn't a big deal. The cashier seemed kinda annoyed but it's late, like 6pm. Can't blame her during dinner traffic. I wish she asked "did you want any dessert with your order?" Because I completely forgot this place has cake slices. Upsell, girrrrrl! Not a fan. Another Midland staple that's just bland and boring. Don't try the burgers I feel like they use the simplest and cheapest frozen burger pattys you can get at the grocery store. Potato salad was pretty decent. They massacred my favorite sandwich the Reuben, while the corned beef was tasty (may actually be made in house) there was barely any on my sandwich. Maybe I'm to used to New York style deli's where you are given a mountain of corned beef (like Jason's Deli). The one I was served here was a sad memory of a Reuben sandwich. read more

I love this place! Never been disappointed with my meal. Burgers and fries are really great, they have quality sandwiches that have super fresh ingredients and taste amazing. The Hot Pastrami is my absolute favorite!! Cheese cake is to DIE for!! Their salads are really great too! I really enjoy their heavenly salad with poppyseed dressing. YUM!! The atmosphere is great and decor is fun. I got a club turkey sandwich with avocado and sprouts, which would have been great but I found it strange that it didn't come toasted. So it was just soggy white bread. Grew up going here for lunch. During lunch you order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. They do traditional table service during dinner, and it's usually not very busy at dinner. I still enjoy going back when I'm in town visiting my parents. I usually get the turkado with curly fries. The curly fries are SO good. I was surprised by the negative reviews. I've never had a bad experience at Murray's. Great lunch spot! It does get busy during lunch, so come early to beat the crowd or opt for a later lunch. read more

A friend referred me to eat here while in Midland for a couple of weeks. I called in today to place a to-go order and the girl was very nice; I told her I was feeling sick, but had an appetite and asked what she recommended. I got home with my meal and found this sweet note from her; this is what you call excellent customer service and even just being a good human being. I was pleasantly surprised by Murray's! A coworker and I were in town on business, looking for a local joint to grab some grub. Luckily, we stumbled across Murray's. Great draft beer selection...we each had a Paulener Octoberfest on draft...32oz of goodness (per our waiter's recommendation). We also had the blackened Tilapia dish, served with a salad, rice, and garlic bread. Wow, awesome Tilapia!!! We were not impressed with the iceburg lettuce salad (yes, I AM a food snob =) but the fish was amazing, and the rice was good, nice and moist. If I'm even in Midland again, I will definitely return to Murray's! read more

My sister and I were visiting family in Midland, and we stopped in for lunch. We had a toddler with us, and the girl working at the counter was very friendly and helpful, letting us sample the seafood gumbo before ordering it. (We did, because it was delicious.) I had the tuna steak Caesar salad, and it was delicious. The dressing was fabulous. Did I detect a hint of anchovy? You have the option of ordering your tuna steak grilled or blackened, and I chose blackened, which really just meant seasoned to perfection. My sister had the grilled cheese with fries, and no complaints. We also had some pasta salad, and it was great, although my niece gobbled most of it up herself. Next time we're in Midland, we'll be back. read more

Murray's has gotten a seriously awesome upgrade, the back patio is really nice and hidden from all the insane traffic on Wadley. Fries have gotten a much needed improvement as well, they are crispy and we ll cooked. My favorite is the pastrami, on wheat. Love the French dip too. read more

For some reason we have never eaten in Murray's until now but we just recently did. I got the Reuben with potato salad and my friend got the California Club with fruit. We also split a chicken salad sandwich with fries. The Reuben was among the best I have ever had; good quality corned beef, sauerkraut and thousand island sauce. I tried the California Club too and it was quite good, it had avocado, turkey, olives and mayo on a croissant. I think the chicken salad sandwich was about the best chicken salad I have tried anywhere. However, the french fries were not as good as they could have been. I placed the order for the sandwich and fries and in about a minute and a half it was ready...that was great they made it so fast but I knew they couldn't have fried a batch of french fries fresh in that amount of time. They must have been fried earlier and kept warm...they were kind of greasy. I would have preferred they made each batch of fries fresh, that's my only bad comment about the dining experience. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars as the fries were the only thing that didn't measure up as great to me. The service was very good and polite. I also have recently had their hamburger steak dinner at a business meeting and it was really good! I can't wait to try it at the actual restaurant but they only serve it during evening hours on weekdays. read more

I ate lunch at Murrays for the first time today. After arriving at about 11:20, I opened the door to a HUGE line of people. My first thought, OMG, I am going to be here forever.. To my suprise, the line went very quickly and I was ordering my food in no time. Kudos to Murray's for being able to handle this many people during lunch. You can tell they have done this before. The Rueben sandwich was very good. I will be coming back to try out some of the burgers and fries one day. read more
