I had my first visit with Dr. Truong yesterday after being referred by my new dentist, Dr. Yap, and I wanted to share my experience. From the moment I walked in, the office staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. When I went back for X-rays, the young woman assisting me was incredibly warm and engaging--she made small talk, asked questions, and really helped me feel at ease. They even gave me a brief tour of the office, explaining where everything happens and what to expect. It wasn't a huge office, but that personal touch made a difference and helped me feel comfortable right away. When I met with Dr. Truong, he asked what I wanted for my smile. I explained that while my teeth aren't in bad shape, I do have a little crowding on the bottom and a slight overbite. I'm an adult, and while some people might question getting braces at this stage, I just want to feel more confident about my smile. I originally went in thinking I wanted Invisalign, but after our discussion, I decided on clear braces instead. What I really appreciated was that he didn't push me in any direction--he simply explained my options between Invisalign and traditional braces. He made it clear that Invisalign requires a lot of self-discipline (wearing them 22 hours a day), whereas braces allow him to have more control over the results. Knowing myself, I felt that clear braces would be the better choice to stay on track and complete treatment in the shortest time possible. Overall, the entire visit took less than an hour, and I left feeling informed, comfortable, and confident in my decision. And I love that whenever I call about problems with my kids braces or appliances, they try their best to get them seen as soon as possible. Dr. Truong is amazing with my kids. I'm percent sure I made the right choice by bringing my daughters here. With so many options I truly felt overwhelmed. From the beginning I felt very comfortable with the level of service I was receiving over the phone. Once I got into the office it only got better. The orthodontist is very professional and kind. Murrieta Orthodontics is a great place to go to, should you ever need to get braces. I was lucky enough to not need braces during high school, but unfortunately, my teeth's alignment started messing up throughout college. It wasn't horrible but I decided to go get them fixed before they became too bad; better safe than sorry! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Truong. He came off as extremely nice and professional. He examined my teeth, explained the different options I had in regards to the various types of braces that I could choose to get and I was on my way in no time. While they're only open on Mondays and Thursdays (and some Saturdays), they do a great job of scheduling you and I rarely have an issue with getting a workable, convenient appointment. What's even better is that they actually take you at your scheduled time and they don't make you wait in the back. Dr. Truong and his staff are great. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is very clean and there is entertainment for the little ones. I was referred to Dr. Truong once I decided to get braces. I had visited other places, but I I knew this place was the best. His work is so great that I didn't mind the 45min drive once a month. I just got my braces off and my teeth are nice and straight! He was able to close the gap on my top side from a tooth that just never grew back. You can't tell I'm missing a tooth! Horrible experience. I exercised my right to leave an honest review and no sooner than my son got his braces off, the male orthodontist called me into his office to discuss my honest review. He was condescending, rude, kept cutting me off while I was talking and all but called me a liar. He was upset that I called him and his staff out for being blatantly prejudice against my melanated son. Instead of being non biased he was extremely defensive. He went out of his way to inform me he services all races however I've been bringing my son to this office since 11/19/2015 when he started his procedure and have only seen white assign and Hispanic customers. I clearly see why now. I feel as though his talk with me only shed more light on how prejudice he is against black people. I would definitely detour anyone that considers themselves African American to not spend your money with this business. The male orthodontist has horrible energy. Really Professional Orthodontics Place. My brothers and I go here for the braces treatment and we pretty much have a good experience here. The staff are pretty nice here and Dr. Steven Troung is pretty cool. I make my way through the pain of the procedure of the braces by using snapchat and my phone while they work on my teeth. I was just kidding it wasn't that bad when I get my teeth tightened but you get my point. Anyways off topic. LOL. The environment is clean it felt very professional like I said. So yeah. I recommend this place for everyone. The x-rays are pretty cool too. My teeth are now perfect because of this place. I went here for an orthodontic consultation and never went back. I have dental insurance that covers ortho treatment so I called them to get info on my coverage and get a list of clinics within the HMO. I was told I had a copay of 1.35k and my insurance would cover the cost of full treatment up to 24 months including fixed and removable appliances, and retainers would be covered with a copay of 250. I got this clinic's information from my insurance and booked an appt. I waited for about 20 mins, then they took panoramic xrays and then met the Dr. He told me i'd need 4 extractions and would have an estimated treatment time of 24 months. I asked about cost, he handed me off to the office manager. I told the lady that I have insurance that will cover most of the treatment minus my deductible. She took down my insurance info, left then came back with the quote.Said my treatment would cost 4.8k for 30 months and my insurance would only cover 1k, so i'd be left with an out of pocket cost of 3.8k. Keep in mind this does not cover the cost of 4 extractions.I know my insurance does covers more, but if the staff are unwilling to work with my insurance and would rather have me pay out of pocket I don't want to give them my business so I just left. I'm glad I ended up going to another orthodontist because instead of extractions he recommended a palatal expander which I wore for 6 months- no need for extractions. That orthodontist quoted me for 3.5k and was willing to work with my insurance. I can't speak for the quality of services at Murrieta Orthodontics, It seems other people really like the Dr's results, but my advice is to shop around. You can get straight teeth without getting ripped off - and apparently without getting your teeth pulled. read more
