I called ahead of time and asked about their standard cleanings and was told it would be $150. Of course I arrived and after 16 X-rays and a ten minute conversation with the actual dentist, I was rushed out of the chair to go pay for my visit. I was stunned when that total came out to be $150 and then when I asked about my cleaning I was told "well the doctor feels you need a deep cleaning so this is your plan we put together of what is needed" My mouth dropped when I saw an estimate of over $2000!!! Take in mind they charge $500 per side of your mouth for a "deep cleaning". I'm sorry, wtf?! Stay far away from this dentist unless you're Scrooge Mcduck, swimming in piles of cash. I am disgusted any business runs like this and won't ever be returning. $150 for X-rays. And to be told I had two cavities I already knew about hence my freaking visit to the dentist!! I heard about this office through other service members and their families. I called today as a new patient. The receptionist asked me if my TRICARE insurance was HMO or PPO. I was not sure and she told me to call and once I found out the answer, she would gladly schedule an appointment for me. I have never been asked that question in any of the states my husband or I were stationed in. I felt that she should have done the research for me. Murrieta Smiles just lost business from my family and my cousin's. I called another dental office and they were able to look up the information and never asked if my dental plan was HMO or PPO. read more

I have been to Dr. Akkari's office several times within the last 2 years and was in desperate need of an Implant. My experience with Dr. Akkari has always been fantastic and the staff is always the most kind and generous people, the Dr. assistant "Angel" is the coolest guy around. I never particularly enjoyed going to the dentist (who does?) but I find myself enjoying my visits to this office for the service and the people. I had $1,200 of work done here yesterday (I don't have dental insurance) but I'll keep coming back. This clinic has a lot to offer its patients... - skillful and gentle dentist; Dr. Akkari is very gentle with needles (which is awesome because I have a fear of needles) and while working on the patient, he takes his time and doesn't rush his work. - wonderful team; all the staff members in this clinic are great. Super odd interaction this morning. Called to make an appointment this morning for a toddler and was told that they only see kids above the age of 10. So confused because I thought this was supposed to be a PEDIATRIC dentist office. Additionally, the lady puts me on hold to get me a referral, but never came back on the phone.
