Conveniently located next to the movie theater, we thought we'd pop in and grab an order of sushi before our movie began. The wait for hibachi was 30-45 minutes but only 15 for sushi. There's only one grill for the hibachi and it's not served table side, although you can watch the chef cook it up front. The ice dispenser looked disgusting; I'm unsure what the dark particles were but I didn't trust it so we opted for bottled drinks instead. Lived here since 2015- still getting great food !! Hidden GEM for sure! Wish they had a bigger menu- but I get it ! DO NOT GO TO MUSASHI ASIAN CUISINE IN FARMVILLE, VA. The woman messed up an order of mine right at closing time a while ago and gave me chicken hibachi instead of steak and we called up there and instead of remaking it she sent a little container of rare steak and nothing else. I brought the food back the next day (kept in the fridge) and the owners had me in tears about redoing my meal. I didn't eat any of it. At all. Tonight we ordered there (5 meals) and were banned because my daughter can't eat mushrooms because she is allergic to them. He got mad and went off on Maddy because she told him that and we didn't know that when we ordered her food. Kevin Reeves went to talk to the man and he was a complete jerk and said he would take no more orders from us at all even on door dash. He said he would cancel it. I can only eat at a very few places in Farmville due to my gluten and food allergies. They have gotten a ton of business from us as we also live at SunChase and can walk there. They are rude and run their mouth even when they are in the wrong as with the woman messing up my order the first time. Kevin even went up there to talk to him and he just complained about having to throw away food. Even if it is their own fault. We ordered the meal with mushrooms in it while my daughter was in the shower and forgot to ask for no mushrooms which was an innocent mistake. She can't just pick them out. It has to be remade. With amount of money we have spent there I don't feel like this should have been an issue. It was presented to him as this was our second time messing up food orders and them having to throw it away. That is false. The woman even said she messed my order up the first time but that does not matter. Please save you time and money and eat somewhere that has good food and good customer service. I love this place, the chicken Pho is a staple pick me up in my college apartment! It's definitely a hole in the wall moms and pops style place- I only ever see a couple working and cooking, but it is definitely worth the visit! This place is a hidden gem! I can't imagine why they have the bad reviews they do but I am here to tell you, as of yesterday, they are awesome!! Food is made fresh in front of you. The ginger salad dressing is fantastic, the steak and chicken are delicious and the rice is great! Chicken hibachi, if I'm being generous, was mediocre. Portion size was extremely small across the board. Salad was brown on the edges, ginger dressing was uninspired. "Onion Soup" was just a veggie bouillon cube dropped in warm salt water. Couldn't eat the soup. My food was not great, and not very filling, but ultimately not dangerous. My colleague ordered the sushi, and the dark gray "tuna" that was served to her would have sent her to the hospital, guaranteed! Do NOT order warm entree AND sushi. Order promised in 15-20 minutes. Our son went in to pick it up at 20 minutes. They BEGAN to make sushi after another 15-20 minutes. At 45-50 minutes he left with WRONG warm (now STONE COLD!!!) entree which included less than 1/2 cup chicken, box full of rice, totally wilted yellow salad, and cup of broth with 3 rings of green onion. I love this restaurant so much. Their food is always amazing and they are very friendly and helpful. The prices are good. I have been here many times and keep coming back for good Asian food in the area. I've had the shrimp fried rice and salmon rolls and both were delicious. Love the yum yum sauce. The miso soup and edamame were decent. And the dragon roll was very tasty. However the only other special roll was out and so we ordered 3 basic rolls. The 3 basic rolls were so bland and tasteless that you couldn't even tell the difference between them. Not worth the price tag! Kroger sushi tastes better and has better variety. read more

The lady who took my order said she only heard me say one meal special and the other how it came. I went on the let the lady know that they must didn't hear me and they my girl was allergic to the zucchini. She told me that's she was sorry and that was all. I asked her were they going to replace the Oder since it was wrong and she said no that's not her fault that's it was wrong. Which didn't meals any sense so I ask to talk to the guy and he was like yes he could remake it for me but I had to bring the whole order back untouched. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the area! They are always so kind and go out of their way to make their customers happy! The tables are always clean and nothing ever feels or looks dirty. If you like flavorless hibachi, crappy slushies, dirty restaurants, waiting over an hour for your food, and receiving the wrong order, then Musashi is perfect for you. I'm normally not someone who goes on Yelp to write a review, but this place was actually the worst. Extremely slow service, took an hour for the food. The dining area was a mess, soda was spilled all over the floor. Took maybe 40 minutes for the appetizers, and it was the wrong appetizer-- we heard guests around us saying that their orders were wrong too. When the food finally came, it was just okay. I also ordered a mango bubble tea, which never arrived. When they brought out the appetizers, they told me they were out of mango bubble tea-- even though we'd already paid for it. I ordered a different bubble tea instead. Another 20 minutes passed, and they brought our hibachi. Still no bubble tea. We finished eating, and I went up front to ask about my bubble tea. They said, "we're working on it now, it'll be out soon." It took another 15 minutes after that-- seriously, what kind of restaurant doesn't bring you your drink until you're done eating? It wasn't even good bubble tea, it may as well have been a slushie from Sonic. Definitely the worst service I've ever had in my life. The first and last time I'll ever be here, I walked up to the store at 2pm, and it was locked with a sign saying she'll be back and to call her so I called and waited 15 minutes outside. Finally when she unlocked the store I ordered an Alaskan roll w/ blueberry boba tea, and I've gotten boba tea plenty of times and it's always like a milk tea that tastes amazing, and the one I got tasted like a really sweet blueberry slushy with tapioca pearls which disappointed me. For $16 I got the steak and chicken hibachi entree and a drink. Comes with fried rice, onion soup, and salad. I couldn't sub the miso soup for the onion soup even tho they are the same cost. We got our food and wasn't given silverware. We asked and the sever got us some but had his hands all over them and some were dirty, when we voiced our concern he went and got new forks in a napkin. The portion of meet was less then typical hibachi restaurants however the food tasted decent. Overall appearance of the place was ok, nothing special. read more
