Delightful place! Cozy, no frills, and affordable! I was impressed by how good everything was and how much fish they added to their sushi for the price! I dined there twice a week; it was so good. Service is cordial, and you order at the register. Seats are delimited but sufficient to cover the dine-ins. I noticed a lot of take-outs while there. Super recommended!

I came to Musashi's for the first time on a work lunch, and everything was delicious. We were seated quickly and the service was great. I loved how the restaurant had a fast casual way of ordering, but the quality of food and presentation was at the level of a nice sit down restaurant. We ordered what felt like a hundred items for the table and I was so impressed with everything. I can't remember what it was called, but the roll with spicy salmon on top was my favorite. I also loved how one of the vegetarian rolls had pickled radish.

A quiet, little spot next to one of our favorite burger joints. Our first experience at a Musashi's was in Seattle. I wanted to see if the wonderful experience we had there could be had nearer to home. The food was good and fresh tasting. It took a bit of time to come out after ordering, but it was worth the wait. It's basically a no-frills place that I'd expect would be a hot spot for younger people. But I'm glad I could enjoy the food and the ambience as it was. The Churashi bowl was a mix of fish and rice. Certainly was a great value. We also got an order of fish collar and a couple of sushi rolls (not pictured). All in all, a terrific experience. We even get complimentary hot tea. A young man was tending the register and dining area this day - friendly and accommodating. A man was behind the counter, churning out orders as quickly as he could.

A super casual sushi spot with very high quality nigiris and rolls. You marked what you want on the menu and ordered at the cashier. Prices are very good as well, you can get a single nigiri for around $3 and a roll for $12. Portion is decent for the price. Overall, an affordable sushi spot that one can frequent!

Had their lunch special. Place is small, food is good. Service is friendly. Prices are pretty good. Would come back .

Hamachi Kama, Gyu-don, raw salmon and seared salmon nigiris, chirashi bowl, and two rolls

Pro-tip: The chirashi bowl is a good bang for your buck compared to the single orders of nigiri. Highlights: I was pretty impressed by the food, but the ones that stood out the most was the salmon, the rolls, and the Hamachi Kama. I would definitely come again. Lowlights: All the cuts of fish in the chirashi are definitely on the smaller side, but they do include a lot of each variety.

TLDR: Great lunch spot! Quick, fresh and affordable sushi with free hot tea! Finally came here on a regular Tuesday for lunch around 1130am with the family (hubs and our toddler) We were greeted warmly upon walking in by the staff and chef. It was a small space so it was easy for us to grab the high chair they had available and set it up in the corner. They had 6 tables available inside that can seat between 2-6 people with some bench seating, with a beautiful purple tree wall decal in the corner. Bonus point for being family friendly! You can scan the QR code for the menu but they also have physical menus available as well. You order and pay at the counter and then they will bring it out to your table. Each table has a hot thermo of tea, disposable chopsticks, soy sauce, and the small soy sauce trays. They had tea cups and lower sodium soy sauce available by the counter. I got the lunch nigiri and rolls special and hubby got the spicy salmon roll. I was suimpressed by the quality and freshness of the sushi at such an affordable price! $15 for 5 pieces of nigiri and 6 small roll pieces! Wow! And $6 for 6 piece spicy salmon roll - what a deal! The best part is that they were actually delicious! The rice is soft and perfectly seasoned and the fish are fresh. What a pleasant surprise! In addition, they also offer 10% Intel discount too so I can see this being a popular spot for a work lunch. We will be ordering more in the future and try more rolls without breaking the bank! Come give them a try!

Fresh nigiri, friendly staff, nice spot with plenty of parking. At the table they have tea included. The variety of nigiri was tender and not stringy. Rice was not hard and very fresh, cause I arrived when they opened. Will be back!

One of my top sushi places, hands down! I've been to a lot of sushi places across the US and the world and I think this place was a top contender. The fish was fresh and perfectly fatty. The Musashi roll with salmon was also so good, it's become one of my favorite rolls now. The scallop, unagi, salmon belly were also 10/10. We went on a Monday night so it was pretty empty. They also had hot tea at each table, which I thought was a nice touch. The service was also great -- friendly staff -- they gave us some new items to try! Definitely a place worth visiting if you're ever in the area and want tasty sushi.

The service was good and food was ready quickly, but I didn't find the fish fresh and there wasn't much selection on the menu. I had the sashimi bowl, edamame and seaweed salad. The appetizers were decent. This place is okay if you want to grab a quick snack but otherwise felt like a cafeteria.

Bento for $14.95. the grilled meat especially the beef was harder and chewier than cardboard
    Yan W.

The first time I went everything was really good! This time was sadly different. 1. We ordered the bento for around $15. The beef was the most disappointing as the beef was overcooked that it felt like eating cardboard. It was really poor. The chicken was a tad better as I could bite and swallow it. I sadly wasted the beef because I couldn't bite into it. 2. Chirashi and bento rice: it was extra hard and on the drier side today. 3. The tuna both seared and raw were a bit fishy, not the freshest. I hope they continue to be more consistent as I see potential but at the same time, during the busy lunch area, no one was in there eating, just two other customers. The most important thing at a sushi place is the freshness of the raw fish.

Musashi's popped on my FYP for Instagram and I could not be more pleased. I took my brother and sister in law in last night and I have to say it was well-deserved rating of 5 stars. Here is what we got: NIGIRI: 1. Salmon was incredible I had to go back again. The rice to fish ratio was perfection and it taste PERFECT. Such a great bite. 2. Creamy Scallop: most places put too much mayo, but this one was my FAVORITE so far. I had to get more and share the love with my family by making them try some. ROLLS: 1. Dragon Roll: pretty typical dragon roll. I wish it had a little bit more filling, but overall still good BOWLS: 1. Sukiyaki Beef Bowl: this was a full bowl! It was a great sharing bowl. The meat was great! However just wished for a little bit more sauce. Overall this was a delish place! The green tea was hot and flavorful and such a delight. I will be coming back to try more of their menu, but overall definitely worth a try

If I were considering dining at Maru, this is what I would want to know. The staff here are so welcoming, they have really nice chopsticks, and the service is friendly. Beyond that, it is straight downhill. To call this a Japanese-food restaurant is not accurate. Besides the sushi, the food seems to be a mishmash of Chinese and American cuisine with Japanese names. We started out with an order of so-called chicken karaage. Imagine my shock when the server delivered a dish of deep-fried chicken strips with a bright orange sauce on top. This dish tasted exactly like Chinese sweet and sour chicken minus the sour. Instead of pieces of thigh meat, it appeared to be sliced chicken breast. This was clearly prepared by someone who has never seen or eaten chicken karaage. My husband ordered the bento box. I wanted to order one but all four options contained chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura neither of which I wanted. Hubs went ahead and got one with an assortment of sushi. It also had salad (which was a small handful of mixed greens) Can you think of what was missing? Yeah, rice! He had to order and pay for rice as a side dish for a bento box!! WTH?? No self-respecting Japanese cook would serve a bento box without rice!! I sampled the chicken teri. Oh my god, so dry and tasteless. It also appeared to be sliced chicken breast which explained the dry texture. Hubs said the sushi was fine, fish fresh and rice tasted okay. Oh heavens, now onto my sad dish. I ordered the unagi bowl, clarifying with the server that rice was included. It wasn't visible from the menu picture. She enthusiastically confirmed it was, and that the bowl had a ginger dressing. Yum, I thought. That was the last time for the rest of the meal the word "Yum" came to mind. What was placed before me was this: A wide, shallow bowl with a small amount of rice in the bowl part. It was covered with mixed greens and spinach straight out of a package, not prepared in any way. The unagi was sliced thinly and laid on top. All over the lettuce and seeping unpleasantly throughout the rice was a creamy white dressing with no discernible flavor. Like a drab ranch. NOT the promised ginger dressing. Unfortunately for them, I avoid creamy dressings and mayonnaise. It was a nightmare on a plate. The unagi was okay but a bit chewy indicating either a poor quality or undercooking. I tried to eat the rice and salad part but the dressing just overpowered the whole dish. I left most of it after picking off the unagi. Finally, the rice was not cooked long enough or was not Japanese rice. I felt so sorry for our server. She noticed I hadn't eaten most of my dish and asked me how I like it. I just said I don't like creamy dressings and left it at that. She was so sweet but clearly knows nothing about Japanese cuisine. And her cooks know even less. If you want good Japanese food, stick with Syun Izakaya, their sister restaurant, Sawa's, or Mio Sushi. If you want to play Asian food roulette palate-wise, you might have fun here.

The sushi was made very quickly, it arrived sooner than I expected which is always good. Looks like the restaurant is responsive in a timely manner to their online orders which is always a great surprise. The presentation was great, I was given multiple packets of soy sauce, two containers of wasabi and two slightly larger containers of ginger. Their wasabi has a good kick to it. The spicy tuna roll was simple, delicious, and exactly as expected. The ninja roll was okay, it felt like some rolls were packed and others it was just the tempura shrimp and rice. The salmon on top was also hit or miss, there was either a good portion or you'd get a thinner slice that was covered up with extra sauce on top (look at the picture). The Texas roll was so delicious, I just wish it was smaller. I can't eat the roll in one bite and so it breaks apart and everything falls out. If you've never tried a deep fried roll though... Try this one, super good! I'll update the review if/when I go eat at the restaurant!
