Not fresh. The prices are okay. The best thing was the Oregon rolls, but wouldn't recommend much else.

Sushi Town is very mediocre... but what belt sushi restaurant in Oregon isn't? The good: - You can sit down and start eating right away, unlike typical restaurants where you may have to wait for a table, read through the menu, wait for someone to take your order, then wait for your food to arrive. - They have a lot of staff working and someone is always available to take an order request from you if you don't see what you want on the belt. And when you do order something, they make it for you right away. - You can get pretty full on sushi for a fairly low price here. The bad: - The quality of the sushi isn't the greatest. But again, very typical for belt sushi places in the area. - There isn't a huge selection of tuna dishes. - You leave feeling a little unsatisfied or like you didn't satisfy your sushi cravings... cause the taste just isn't that great. I will continue to look for an affordable go-to sushi spot nearby. This just isn't it. read more

Came here and the sushi rolls are mini in comparison to other places I go to while costing the same if not more. Decor is very minimal and doesn't seem kept up with. Will not be coming back just save yourself and go somewhere else read more

Gave in and tried again only because I had good spicy mayo left over from another place but they were closed so I brought it w me for a sushi town take out order. I also asked the girl to have them put extra avacado in the California roll, she said it could be done no problem. And wall-ah! This isn't extra avacado and it shouldn't even be the regular amount. Oh well! Sometimes people surprise you, but that definitely wasn't today! Tried to give another chance but they clearly don't care about good/loyal business because too many people eat garbage food so they will always make business. Sad read more

I had noticed this place after getting some drinks in the area and decided I was going to try this place because I was craving sushi. I was seated pretty quick, staff was helpful with helping me figure out how the place worked. The sushi was alright, personally I've had better, but I would eat here again since I'm not too entirely picky with my sushi. I do think the dishes could be better. I came around the late morning/early afternoon and there were quite a bit of people there, but the atmosphere was pretty lively. Will come again if I'm feeling it! read more

The customer service was quite hellish. I earnestly can not believe that places that treat customers like this exist. The sushi was below gas station sushi. This was the first time in my life that I have had a waitress try to argue with me when I tell them that I don't like how something tastes. When I called asking for a manager after I left, the lady that picked up the phone pretended that she did not hear me, then told me "HE is not around"and when I asked when he would arrive, she said "I don't know when SHE gets here". Sushitown is my grandson's favorite sushi restaurant! And everytime it's his turn to pick where and what we eat, he picks sushi. I made the mistake of taking him to a different sushi place, and he was disappointed. Sushitown has decent vegan options, though he is definitely not vegan. His favorites are the crab salad sushi, edamame and cream puffs. Staff is nice. We always have fun when we go! read more

Sushi was fresh, the rotating belt was well stocked, and wait staff was quick to serve. The price for fatty salmon on rice (2 pieces) and salmon roll (6 pieces) was $3.25 for a plate. The mussels were cold instead of warm but still yummy. read more

Extremely Disappointing! I have come to this specific Hillsboro location for the past 8 years and all of the sud quality and quantity of food took a big DUMP! very soggy and cold fried shrimps, I pointed out that sho be taken off the rotating band and they put them right back after I touched them and showed them how bad they are and I will not eat and pay for them! some of the their signature shrimp balls came on the plate in 3 piece, now only 2 and price was raised... WTF? do you want to close your store by self sabotaging? because it will happen JUST LIKE THAT! it's 5pm and only 6 people in here! The selection went down the drain as well! A well established sushi restaurant that isn't authentically Japanese, but is still pretty good and has a reasonable price. Various forms of sushi, as well as an assortment of foods are placed on a conveyor belt. They are put on color coded plates, so you'll know what the cost is before you grab them. Other foods they serve are ramen, mochi, hot sake, cheesecake, chocolate cake, tofu, edamame, various fruits, fried calamari, and etc. You can order there and take your food to go, order ahead to go, and I heard from another diner that they have a birthday sushi plate. I'd give them 3.5 stars, but we don't have that option. According to my visit last week (July 30th, 2018), the plates broken down by price are: Yellow -$1.75 Red-$2.05 Green-$2.65 Blue-$2.95 Order: Mochi ($2.95)- I received two mochi that had been sliced into four halves. Very good. Tasted oddly similar to the mochi I buy at Safeway, but the price markup isn't that bad if it is. Town Roll($2.05)- Tuna, rice, and egg wrap. Musubi ($2.05)- Spam, rice, and seaweed. It looked really wonky, but it fortunately still had that same classic taste. Fried Shrimp Roll ($2.05)- Fried shrimp, eel sauce rice, and seaweed. Very good. Wait time: 1 minute to be seated. Seating: Most of it is barstool type seating that forms a kind of circle around the conveyor belt. And I believe there were two or three booths for larger groups. *Husband & I both unfortunately got sick after eating here.* The cucumber & crab salad roll was delicious, but we definitely tasted something off for a lot of the rolls we ordered, as well as the temperature of some of them being off. Both got sick within an hour of leaving. For how busy it was & how many people seemed to be enjoying, I figured I was overthinking. I was wrong lol. The service was friendly but not so attentive (besides the younger gentleman who took over when I had to call someone over more than a few times. He was friendly & on it. Love this place. It is my favorite revolving sushi place. For what it is i think this place is a great value. For the price and freshness its worth it. A typical roll at a fancy place can range $10-$20 and you only get to try one thing. I love that for the price of 1-2 rolls I can get a little of everything. Its like dim sum but sushi for me. I always gets the creamy scallop, spicy salmon handroll, spicy tuna handroll, seared albacore, fried shrimp roll and a new favorite is the fire storm roll. Basic and somewhat of fillers but always good are the California, House, Seaweed salad and sesame balls (for my 4 year old son) I usually grab a Masago so I can have extra eggs on everything. Tip: Call and order don't place an order for pick up... prices are higher for every plate if you place the order electronically. Even if you're ordering for pick up! I went yesterday and took pictures of the menu since the ones on here are so old. Also they have a $5 off $25 coupon they honor if you just pull it up. They want you to use it. Trash a$$ sushi If you like this place you obviously don't eat enough sushi and know the difference between them. Dont settle for less... We kinda had to. It's Sunday and our favorite sushi spots are closed today (whyyy?! ) and we had extreme sushi cravings. Nearest sushi place to us that was open was sushi town so we ordered seared salmon, salmon, calamari and salmon skin roll. Seared salmon - very bland despite having white sauce on it. I don't know what's up with your seared salmon but it had NO TASTE whatsoever. You know that usual seared salmon taste?? I LOVEE seared salmon and I always try it first from different places. So I definitely know this one was way off Salmon - Same thing! It's just a thin slice of salmon and you cannot taste anything. If you dip it in soy sauce it just tastes like you're eating rice and soy sauce. Calamari- The smallest portion of Calamari that we have ever received. I can't believe it. It wasn't even that crispy Salmon Skin Roll- WTF is this?! No way is it salmon skin it tastes like some fried fish we usually eat in the Philippines! If you don't have salmon skin, just say so. They hella improvised. We get the same order every time, regardless of what sushi place we go to. This by far is the MOST EXPENSIVE FOR THE SH!TT!EST QUALITY Go to O'Sushi instead. Been coming here for... 15 years or so? I LOVE THIS PLACE I've tried so many sushi places, but by far this is my favorite one for not having to buy full rolls. Everything is always so fresh and delicious, and when I was having mad pregnancy cravings, I would make the 2 hours drive from where I lived for this place. The selection is outstanding. Most conveyor style places I've been to were all the same roll (essentially california to with different sauces lol) bit they have so many different types ... Prolly why I make the drive out here cause I'm obsessed with the seared albacore and snapper lemon roll and PC octopus roll which I have NEVER found anywhere else, plus a bunch of others I can't find anywhere else. Super hooked on this Beaverton strip mall massive sushi conveyor monstrosity. The tuna avocado rolls are on point, mini poke bowls are delicious, and the crab salad melts in my mouth. Every time I'm in the neighborhood, I make sure I stop in and always eat at least 1 plate too many. Extremely affordable and so quick to find the perfect rolls. The double stacked plates on the conveyor freak me out a little. The chefs always place a new one on top. How long is the bottom fish sitting on the rail? Overall, one of my favorite sushi places and I continue to enjoy a quick and cheap meal when in Beaverton. read more

Over the past 10+ years, the original staff has consistently been friendly and welcoming. The sushi is consistently a good size and reasonably priced for each plate. Their service remains top-notch, even when they're busier than usual. I've been coming here for over 10 years and the customer service just gets worse and worse. I came in on a slow day when every booth was open but they refused to let me sit in one with my child that was too small for one of their chairs at the sushi bar. I asked a couple times really nicely and was just flat out told no unless I brought another person in? We won't ever come back here and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with kids. WOW is this place good!! My experience here was amazing. Outside isn't special, but the inside was lively (at least until the crowd died down, then it was quiet haha) and the atmosphere was warm and inviting and cheerful. Very small and intimate, during dinner hour, we sat at the bar between two other guests. Service is quick and very friendly. Ordering from the chefs is always the best when they don't have what you want on the conveyor belt, plus it's always fresh! An amazing factor about this place is you get free hot tea, which is great, compared to other places where you have to pay for tea. The food is also pretty great. Salmon nigiri was fatty and plump, and we ordered salmon roll from the chefs, and the seaweed was fresh and sooo crispy! We also ordered creamy scallop from the chefs, and the scallop was still a bit cold and not thawed all the way. The tuna nigiri wasn't fantastic either, was a bit fishy and had lots of fish juice. Seared salmon could also use some mayo or something on top for some more flavor, but everything else was pretty great! Definitely coming here again read more

I never give a sushi-go-round high stars. Usually I'm disappointed with cleanliness, service, food quality or options. Not today. The place was clean, we were seated right away. You can order extra "sauce" of your choice and the chef will just squirt it in a dish for you while leaning over the bar. Quite a spectacle. There were a lot of sushi options, some common, some "what?", some good, some I will never ever try. But overall we were pleased, and will be back. read more

I don't know if it is post Covid but this place really used to be great. It could also be we came in close to closing. Service was excellent but sushi is subpar. This review is solely for the food. We got takeout so I can't speak to the interior or staff service. The food was not fresh - simple as that. And with sushi, is there anything more important than that?? We ordered five different menu items and only one tasted decent. The others were inedible. Early dinner on Thursday and greeted right away, asked what I would like to drink and headed for the restroom Two individual restrooms, well stocked and a hook for bags or coats. Upon arriving back to my seat, my water was there and the conveyor belt was full, with four plus sushi chefs. I noticed that the wasabi was in a squeeze bottle and while convenient, it came out watery at first which was not great- but it got the job done. No pickled ginger in sight, so asked the server and she gladly brought out some. Also, hooks under the counter for purses and other items too. The servers are on hand and easy to spot as well as are nice. The nigiri I had was what I would expect from a conveyor belt style restaurant and saw lots of various options like tofu, spam musubi, fried shrimp, salad rolls and teriyaki bowls too (Maybe other sushi restaurants offer these items and I just noticed). The calamari I had was light and still warm. A great way to end off the meal. Downside is that I wasn't sure what the price per plate was as it is listed on one side only. With the conveyor belt being fully stocked and continuously replenished and a consistent stream of customers for a weekday evening, I see this as a successful dinner. read more

I've been here about 3-4 times now, and that's about all I'm going to do for this sushi joint. See, the sushi is OK. Some rolls are huge, some small. Some are tasty, and some are blah or you can taste the freezer burn on the fish. The prices are too high for the quality you get, especially considering there's numerous better sushi places close by that are also cheaper. Then, they don't have fountain drinks - you get an overpriced can of soda and if you want more? Buy another can. Let's get to the millenium, Sushi Town. But what birngs it down to two stars is the staff, mainly, those making the fish. They do not understand orders. That is not ok with me. I did really love their avacado-fishy-folls (the actual roll name escapes me) but there was none to see on the track. So I ordered if from one of the sushi chefs and got...not what I ordered. I got a monstrosity size of rolls that kinda looked like what I wanted but instead of the usual $1.75, it was $6! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I was ticked off, and the chef just didn't get it. So. This place is good! As far as conveyor belt sushi goes, they seem to be of the highest quality. Keep your eye out for the Saba (Mackerel) or Sake (Salmon) nigiri and the fried Calamari... Also, the special ordered handrolls are delicious! read more

It's your basic sushi track joint. Fast, fresh and cheap! Decent amount of seating and food made fresh in an easy to understand procedure for those who are not sushi track connoisseurs. I dropped by there after a seriously needed massage at a nearby massage chain (which I will review shortly). I needed a healthy little snack and decided to check them out. The place quickly filled up in the 15 mins I sat there. I enjoyed some steamed soy beans, spicy swordfish rolls, and California rolls with roe sprinkled on top (super awesome!). The dessert looked tempting. I was too shy to order anything extra special but people near me also asked the staff to whip up some sashimi bowls, and also salmon skin hand rolls/wraps which looked delicious.
