This location is not as good as the ones in Redmond, Wallingford, or Factoria, so be forewarned! It's not bad, but the fish isn't as fresh. I ordered an all salmon chirashi bowl, which was decent, along with 4 pieces of nigiri. The portion size for a la cart nigiri was disappointing. Musashis used to give you huge cuts of fish on their nigiri. Mine was about half of what you see pictured in reviews. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place. We stopped by to try out the chain and it was a fast and easy dinner. Quality is not omakase level or the highest, but it is good value for price, filling, and does the trick. We tried the chirashi (under $20) which was pretty filling. Tuna quality wasn't the best, but usually isn't at these places. Salmon and eel were the highlights. As I am currently trying to stay away from too many raw foods, we also got a special california roll which was $8.50 for a GIANT roll and several different nigiris which were generous and delicious (standouts were seared salmon, scallop). I love Musashi's in Factoria. It's a place I take all our guests for amazing sushi! I love the small menu, quality and price. The lynnwood location is convenient and closer to me. It's a nice interior with good service. I got take out a few times and this was my first dine in experience. It was a quiet time so food came out fast and fresh. The spice seared salmon is my favorite. Their spicy tuna is also top notch (in my opinion). My only criticism is their rice. Too much rice and the taste is different than in Factoria. PLEASE, streamline your rice cooking method in all Musashi's locations. Factoria one is just superb and I wish I lived closer to it. Love the food here all the time, consistent, portion size good, great value and fresh fish. We always have Chirashi and we're happy there's room to change the assortment of fish. Happy for the flexibility. The Bento Box is a good value. The teriyaki chicken in it is moist and grilled. Love a bit of sashimi in it. Slight bauble with the miso soup not being served automatically. When we reminded the server, he said it was only for regular customers. ????? (Puzzling look from us because how would they know?) Also, they gave it to us every time we were there. Besides, that was our 4th time there. But the soup came out on a jiffy. I'm still giving them 5 stars, because we love this place. This location is very similar to the Factoria Musashi's. They have the noodle salad, Musashi Roll and similar menu. The Lynnwood location is new with a modern looking interior. The noodle salad wasn't as creamy as Factoria's, which left it a little dry, but I found the sushi to be comparable. Most importantly, I felt the pricing was better at this location. Order at the table using a QR code. Food came quickly. If you need anything additional such as share plates, napkins, water and to go boxes, you'll need to flag down the server. It's nice to have a Musashi's location in the north end with a good price point. read more

Musashi's Chirashi bowls hit all the marks: They are tasty, reasonably priced ($19), enough for a large meal, and come within 5-10 minutes of ordering. I have no complaints when it comes to the Chirashi bowls as the salmon, toro, yellow tail, unagi, scallops, and albacore all taste fresh with no apparent fishy smell or taste. I would recommend pairing your chirashi bowls with side orders of spicy tuna rolls (maki) or their shrimp/vegetable tempura (off menu). Yum! I grew up going to the original Bellevue Musashi's and finally got around to trying the Lynnwood location. I tried their chirachi bowl ($19), musashi roll ($12), seared salmon nigiri, and tamago. The bowl was my favorite, you get a good selection of fish and decent sized pieces! Everything tasted fresh. The Musashi roll is a California roll topped with a creamy tuna thing, I think, whatever it was was good! Seared salmon nigiri were great portions but I would skip the tamago next time, I like mine sweeter and fluffier. I ordered online ahead of time and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Asked for spicy mayo for everyone and we received one serving in a large bowl, not enough to share. Parking is alright given the plaza but shared with Happy Lemon and others. Convenient location near the mall. Lots going for them here but as they figure things out, service is subpar and can be a headache. Rice was kinda cold and bb-shot, but overall very reasonable for $13.50. However, my wife had the chirashi bowl that Musashi is known for, and it was horrible. Everything tasted old and funky like it was left out too long, the scallops were half frozen, and the unagi had a slimy gummy texture. Nobody greeted us as we came in, so we just sat down and had to figure out how to order from the QR codes on the table. Food took a while too, and they never checked on us to see how we're doing. Musashi Lynnwood finally opened! Been waiting for them since I noticed construction last year. Enjoyed our dinner. Had the chirashi, sushi nigiri dinner set, Amaebi sushi and yellow tail roll. Good and tasty fish, kinda small slices but slightly thick, rice was a bit too sticky and needs a little more flavor like sushi vinegar. We were there at the 5pm opening. Food was served a decent time. The restaurant filled immediately after it opened. Some people came in for to go orders. The restaurant is different from other Musashi branches. I've been eagerly waiting for this Musashi's to open up and when we drove by today and saw the open sign we decided to stop in for lunch. We got seated right away and ordered a few rolls to share. The food took a bit to come out given there were only a few parties in the restaurant but I assumed they are still in soft opening. 100% understandable. What disappointed me was the California Roll and that whoever made it decided it was acceptable to make it with avocado that had clearly gone bad. The host wasn't apologetic when we told her and just said she would let the chef know. I am not sure if this is a soft opening issue or due to someone's lack of care for quality. I am glad there is a Mushashi's closer to where I live however I am not sure if we will return to this location any time soon. read more

So I walked in and immediately saw a kiosk and assumed it was a pay first at the kiosk type of place. I was completely wrong! I ended up ordering to-go by mistake and wanted to dine-in! Funny thing is, when I sat down, they must've knew I wanted to dine-in because I got my food and ate there! Ordering is all online via QR code at each table. So the wait staff is has less work to do. But apparently I came in on their second day opening, so the front was still getting the hang of everything. Place is somewhat small, but very clean so far. The food took a while to come out, but considering that the staff is pretty small, makes sense. Basically one person handling each section it seems like. So it's definitely going to take them a bit to get use to the incoming of customers. Honestly, wished I asked about the dine-in process. Oh well, that's on me. I sat down at the bar and they gave me tea. Probably because they saw me writing this review up. :p Anyways, still very nice of them to do so. I can definitely sense the confusion of things when the place got packed with customers. I appreciate the hard work from these folks.. I would say the sushi is of great quality right now since the place is newly opened. I'll definitely become regular here for sushi in Lynnwood. Competition will be high once Kura opens up across the street though. Best of luck to these folks. I'll do my part as best as I can to support this local chain. We ordered take out via DoorDash. I have been to multiple Musashi locations - dine-in & takeout. The Lynnwood location def does not give the same portion size. I normally can't finish my bowl and need to share with my husband. Today I totally finished it, and still felt hungry. The pieces are supposed to be HUGE, these were TINY. The scallop was literally the size of a marble lol. I also weighed the fish - 8.5oz total. It's missing a few ounces. Very disappointed in this location. read more

So excited to have one of my fav fish spots up in Lynnwood now! I ordered to go during the first week they opened so they were still working out some kinks service wise. Got there 15min ish when they said it would be ready. The restaurant was pretty full and they looked busy. I had to approach someone to ask about my order that wasn't ready yet. The hostess was kind about it, said it would be another 10min and offered some tea. The food was expected! Fish was flavorful and fresh. My go to is a fresh salmon roll, and while there was more rice than I would get back in Wallingford, the salmon was thick and tasty. 3.4 stars for Lynnwood Musashi. It's definitely not the same as it was 20 years ago at its original Wallingford 45th Street location. It offers affordable, decent sushi, better than conveyor belt sushi, but not top grade. However, it's overall good considering the affordability. I was pleased they had Toro today, and curry, which was a new addition compared to their Factoria Bellevue location, where we usually go. Service was minimal, limited to bringing out our food. Our server initially forgot napkins, chopsticks, and soy sauce plates, so we retrieved the napkins and chopsticks ourselves from the front. Our server did bring out the soy sauce plates and more napkins, but only after we asked. I appreciate the convenience of QR code ordering, but it's easy to order a lot that way. We could also view our order and pay through it, which was very convenient. When we finished, we had to ask for to go boxes ourselves at the front. The sushi fish tasted quite fresh, but the rice was not prepared properly today. It was too soft, lacked sufficient vinegar, and had barely any vinegar flavor in the sushi rice and chirashi rice. It's nice to have a location up north, and we'll return if we're craving sushi again. read more

I was really excited that finally a musashi up north but damn, it def does not meet the quality of the musashi i know of. I had been going to the Wallingford one for years (when i went to UW) then later I enjoyed the factoria one when I lived down south. The fish qualify is not up to par, the cuts were much smaller (maybe due to inflation?!) We ordered the chirashi bowl, nigri by pieces, unagi roll, shrimp tempura roll (nasty!), onigri. Onigri didn't come out until we were pretty done eating. The rice of the nigiri's were pressed so hard together that this chef is new and afraid the rice he used will fall apart, or it's like a kid playing with rice and make rice balls, it's weird texture. Kinda reminds me of eating sticky rice with my hands pressed together to dip in sauce in thai/laos food. Scallop nigri was bitter (prob just not fresh), salmon with mayo and onion is weird cuz the mayo is very watery. Hamachi was a very thin cut and my husband even asked what fish it is, hamachi is generally pretty obvious. The squid was actually pretty good but it won't stay with that very hard pressed rice ball so it keeps separating. Shrimp tempura roll had unagi sauce on it but it really look like someone pour soy sauce on it to make the mushy rice more mushy. Service was decent, it's very cute inside... but I don't care for that, I just want what musashi is supposed to be like. read more

I can tell the fish was kept at the right temp to bring out maximum flavors. The fish inside the chirashi bowls were good cuts - some other restaurants chuck the unwanted parts in there. I'm an OG Musashi's in Wallingford fan so I was excited that this location was opening up when I first saw its conception. However, Musashi's in Lynnwood has a lot of ground to cover. Won't be returning for a while. Almost don't care it's there... But to be honest, if I specifically want a chirashi bowl then I'd probably get it to-go. Otherwise, I am getting sushi elsewhere. Food taste the same in my opinion. Service was crap. The table of 4 was only set for 2. Took a while to receive the other utensils and sauce dish. The hostess/only server was making mistakes left and right. I'm not sure if she isn't hearing people correctly and/or forgetting and/or not writing down the proper orders. Whatever the issue was, I also noticed the tables on either side of me were also getting their orders wrong or doubled. We got there a little before 6, they opened for dinner at 4:45, restaurant was full. You could tell each table had been there for a while waiting for their food. She said there was a pause on the kitchen items and that we could still order sushi etc. so I think they were trying to play catch up on kitchen items and takeout orders. The chirashi took longer than expected. When food finally came out & the regular chirashi was handed to me, I told her I ordered just the salmon and unagi chirashi (this is what I typically order - I always customize my chirashi bowl at Musashi's - when I ordered this initially, she gave me a funny look and asked if I for sure only wanted those 2 items). She brought it back to the sushi chefs and then she brought it back to us again saying we ordered 4 total anyway. I said, "no we only ordered 3 total." Miso soup took a while to bring out too.., which I'm assuming they just have a big pot of miso brewing in the back, so that shouldn't have taken so long. The restaurant interior is very nicely done - Wallingford location is a hole in the wall/Seattle grunge feel. The reason I return and am a loyal customer to Musashi's since 2012 is the warm and inviting atmosphere I get from the 이모 and chefs when I enter the Wallingford location. My wife and I were loyal regulars at the Wallingford Musashi's for years--it was our absolute go-to for great quality sushi. We moved north and were thrilled to discover a location in Lynnwood, ordered takeout last night that was a massive disappointment. This isn't the same food. The sushi was old, dried out, and frankly, some of the lowest quality we've ever encountered. Even the staples like the miso and noodle salad were subpar. The best thing my wife could say is "At least we didn't get food poisoning." It's heartbreaking to see the Musashi's we loved serving this crap. We won't be back. read more

The sushi was incredibly fresh, and you could tell that they use top-quality ingredients. Each piece melted in my mouth, and the flavors were spot-on. From the tuna to the salmon, everything was exceptional. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The service was quick.
