Just finished my 4th "MUSE" experience at this great place and it was awesome! We did a family "paint" first, a Van Gogh "paint" with friends and family second. That was great and so much fun! My very favorite, though, were the "Paint Your Pet" nights. I have three poodles and after I went for the first session and saw the sketch of my dog, done by the staff, I was blown away. The sketch was too good to even touch. I wanted to take it home and frame it without painting it for fear I would ruin it. Reluctantly, and with the wonderful help from the on staff artists there, my painting was a masterpiece! So good that I brought my family back to paint our other two poodles the following month at their second "Paint Your Pet" night. So, all I can say is it a fun time and everyone should give it a try. Muse Paintbar in White Plains was awesome! We went as a group (16 of us) for a fun night out and were not disappointed. The evening was sold out with a mix of our group, a couple of smaller groups and couples on dates. If anyone went there for a quiet, artistic experience and were possibly irritated by others around them having fun, they should choose a Saturday or Sunday morning paint class at the local Y. I was always under the assumption that if you are pairing alcoholic beverages with attempting to paint a picture, it was all about the fun havoc that ensues while trying to accomplish the artist's instructions. Just when you think you have no talent...the artists at Muse Paintbar make you feel like Michaelangelo! Great fun, music, painting tips. I started going to Muse last year as a way to spend more time with my mom...we both love it. Her paintings are hysterical...they never look like what they're intended...everyone has their own take and it's great to walk around the room and see the differences. Muse Paintbar is a great night out with friends (or family!)...We recently had a girls night out paint night and it was a blast! The staff at Muse are fun, friendly, understanding of your skill level and patient! Good selection of food/drinks - good music playing (but not too loud to distract from your work)...I look forward to going back to Muse for other events in the future! read more

I enjoyed it here! I took my mom and sister for Mother's Day and we all loved it! They serve food and beverages (wine, beer, and nonalcoholic). The food was good. The set up of the place was nice. You had to find the table with your name on the place card. The instructor was cool. There were also 2 assistants around to help if needed. Would definitely visit the Musebar again! read more

This place is so much fun!! I have gone twice now. I cannot draw a stick figure but after the sessions I was so impressed with the pictures I actually painted. I would recommend the Muse to everyone. It's fun and totally worth the money. It's a perfect day/night out with your friends or your significant other. You won't be disappointed! read more

I went with a friend of mine to Muse Paint Bar in White Plains not knowing what to expect. First of all, the staff was so welcoming. The artist for the night was so nice and took the time to explain every single step to all of us. My friend and I had so much fun and it was such a great way to chill and relax. It's funny because I have absolutely no artistic ability, but I came home with a painting that came out pretty good. The staff - including the artist/teacher walked around checking to see if we needed any help or had questions - they would give us pointers, but they weren't in-your-face, which is why the experience was so nice. There was no pressure. I have to say that even though I went with a friend, I would feel comfortable going alone. I didn't realize it until after the class that they have separate rooms in the back for private parites. I think it would be fun to get some of my family together to do this one night. They have lots of options and times for classes. They even serve wine and beer. My friend and I arrived a little early, so she and I shared some snacks and wine. The menu is not big, but it need not be because once you start painting, you get lost in it - at least that is what happened to my friend and I. I didn't even realize there was music playing in the background until we were getting ready to leave - it had been on the entire night. I would highly recommend the Muse to anyone. It's a great way to relieve stress and have some fun. For me, it felt like I was able to just clear my mind for a couple of hours and not think about work or family or any of the craziness that goes on in my life. I thought parking was going to be tough, but it wasn't - we found a spot on Mamaroneck Avenue and there were other spots open too, but there is an open munipal lot right around the corner. However, you do need quarters for the meters and the meters run until 9 PM weeknights (not sure about the weekends). Still, the whole painting experience is worth it! Loved this place. I went last night with a friend and had a great time. First of all, the venue is very nice and relaxing. Oh, and we were given a special treat, FREE DRINKS - wine or beer! I think this was a special incentive because it was a Monday night. They also have a small menu. The instructor stood on a platform and demonstrated techniques. The assistants walked around, provided suggestions when asked and refilled paints as needed. Everyone was very patient and supportive. The painting stations are comfortable, with five seats at a round table. I am not an artist but produced a pretty decent scene and will definitely return. read more
