I reached out to Kim and left a message, requesting she contact me back. Within an hour of the call, I received another voicemail from the sweetest girl ever. She gave me her information and we played a little bit of phone tag (I'm exceptionally hard to reach) until we finally touched base. I scheduled with Kim on 11/14, but due to..go figure, Covid, I had to reschedule. She was SO nice and understanding. She was more concerned about my symptoms than actually causing an unintended opening in her schedule. Her genuine care for me, without even meeting me, was what made me most excited for experience. After several weeks of being home, I was ready and felt comfortable getting back on her schedule. Initially, I scheduled for 12/19, but realized that my head needed serious TLC before then. Again, Kim was SO freaking awesome and got me in yesterday 12/3 after work. I showed up at the studio and it was the CUTEST, most elegant and vintage decor ever. The studio itself was so clean and well-lit. I was greeted by Kim herself and she quickly took me back. We talked like we had known each other for years, which was SO nice considering human to human interaction is minimal nowadays. I met Jess and Kelly, her colleagues, and they were just as awesome. After the haircut and blow-dry, she showed me my hair and to say I love it is an understatement. She knocked it out of the park. I scheduled for 12 weeks and look forward to going back! The decor is SO cute and always in tune with the season. The moment you step in you're offered snacks and a drink. The ladies are very sweet and attentive with their customers, although I've only ever done my hair with Hannah (HIGHLY recommend her). Hannah is really friendly and very accommodating. You show her a picture and she'll give you just that, but she's always realistic about what she can accomplish in one session (if you're a color treated brunette like I was, don't expect to achieve your preferred shade of blonde after just 1 session). I've seen Hannah twice now and my hair is right where I want it to be. She actually fixed my hair the first time I came in to see her. I had gone to another salon to get a balayage but instead walked out with stripey, brassy highlights. I don't think I've expressed to Hannah enough how much I HATE brassy yellow hair, but she always leaves me with the loveliest white-toned blonde. I wanted calico hair. Everyone that worked there throughout the process was super nice and excited hyping me up as well. However my hair when bleached turned a little red which was fine because I wanted red over it. She started to doubt the process I believe because I had to be the one to tell her to tone it and even if it didn't come out bright blonde it wouldn't be brassy, which is what I wanted no brass. We discussed I could eventually get them blonder if I wanted to but for that day it's the best they could do which I understand I've had my hair done plenty of time. Now I have already had been there for 5 hours, she starts to color and I ask her about the top half of my hair because at the beginning of the service she said she was gonna do it darker there. She never did anything to the top of my hair and finally at around 9:51 she started to blow dry it to be texturized like I asked for. She started to curl it which I never asked for so I asked her to stop and just cut it, she claimed she couldn't cut wet hair which again I have had my hair done many times a lot of which they cut my hair wet. At this point I had been there for 7 hours with nothing but a Chex mix bag to eat, and I was really unhappy with the way everything was going so I told her I'm done. I paid my bill literally crying and left. The lady at the front desk said she will leave a note and have the manager call me. I called this morning and apparently there was no note left...weird. I ending up getting connected and spoke to a share owner this morning and was offered a free service of glossing it back to brown... how does that help when I wanted calico hair and the salon had already bleached my under parts why would I go back to brown. There are many other weird details that had happened. Honestly overall the people here are nice but my hair looks terrible and i paid for a cut color and foil and none of it is how I asked for it to be. I will not be returning and I think other people should be able to get a honest opinion before deciding to go there.

Taking temperatures, reduced occupancy (2 clients per stylist) and nobody allowed to sit in the waiting room.
