Just as they opened, one other person walked up, so no lines or crowds at all. I was greeted warmly by a friendly MAC associate who asked if I was looking to purchase anything. I let her know I had recently stocked up at another store, and without any pressure, she handed me a free MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick. No purchase, no email signup, no credit card required--just a quick, kind gesture that made my morning. Also worth noting: they currently have a lipstick sale going on--up to 40% off many shades, but it ends today, so now's the time to grab a few extras if you're a fan of their formulas. This location is in the Macys located at Westshore Mall. Kiosk is right by the entrance to the mall. We were able to walk right up and be helped. We were in the market for the studio fix compact for my daughter. She needed to be color matched which the staff member was very friendly and helped up out. She matched her, we bought one and left. They are having lipstick for $15 right now because of national lipstick month. read more

Went in on Monday to find the perfect red and there were two ladies at the counter -a redhead and a brunette. They were both extremely helpful and fun recommending different shades to me. I felt like I was the only one in the store with their service. They were great. I was told about their recycling program and more star rewards I earned. Came out with two lipsticks that I LOVE. This looks like every other MAC store Ive been to except it's smaller. Lacey initially assisted me but I must have seemed too difficult of a customer with all my requests and she had manager Gina assist me. Gina was awesome and was able to help me learn how to use the right makeup within my budget and showed me how I could do it at home. I can imagine they get very busy in here and with the space being so small there may be a need to get customers in and out, but I never felt rushed by staff and everyone was polite. read more

The only free standing MAC store in Tampa...that I have found. I've been in here like 4 times now and to be perfectly honest...I like the 2 guys that I've seen in here. There's a white guy with a beard that is BEYOND helpful. I was about to leave because the store turns into absolute MAYHEM on the weekends and he came along and saved the day. You know...I will go on record and say that on this day in particular, HE was the only one that seemed to take any pride in his customer service and his attitude. Every time I'm in this store, I will look for him. Other than that, I like this store because of availability of products. The uppity attitudes I could do without. I usually hate going to the Mac stores because the staff can be very rude. However, today's visit was pleasant. I needed help with 3 shades of eye shadow and there was a gentleman there to offer suggestions. I had to ask him to apply them so I can see what they looked like, which I would hope a store like this would just offer to do to, but none the less, he did and I found great colors. This place is amazing. All the makeup artists are very friendly and become friends instead of just people you are used to seeing. They treat you like a person instead of just the next sale here. And they did my makeup for a very important job interview. Between their makeup skills and a good interview, I got the job. But I wouldn't have looked as polished and professional without their help. Sadly, the stigma around "MAC employees" rang true tonight. I walked in the almost empty store wanting to ask a question about the Retro Matte liquid Lipsticks (they're amazing), but mine keep breaking & a few of my friends have too. I had to wait around the store just till an employee came out onto the floor & when I found an employee I was greeted with nothing but rude responses. I simply asked if they had heard of these breaking or have maybe heard of a recall of packaging (because i have heard about SO many of them breaking) but I was just given the MAC customer service number and a rude response. I was very disappointed in my recent visit to this store. I was not acknowledged by any salesperson despite browsing for at least 15 minutes. The store was not busy. When I asked to try an eyeshadow, I was handed a wet eyeshadow brush and was told to go try it. I asked for a few products that I was going to purchase and the salesperson seemed annoyed that I was asking! I hope this was just a bad day and not a sign of things to come. read more

To say the least, I'm not a makeup person. Tinted moisturizer and lip gloss is the most you'll get out of me 90% of the time. But, it was a friend's wedding and I was a bridesmaid. Mac did a wonderful job. I made an appointment and was greeted and seated almost right away. The makeup artist Dan was very helpful and patient especially with someone with sensitive eye movements. The makeup lasted all day and well into the night. The price for the studio service was competitive but for someone that is African American, Mac has a better color choice than other cosmetic makers (i.e.- Lancome, Elizabeth Arden, etc...). I took my daughter her for her prom her appt was @430p got there at 4p and their was still a wait. She didnt get seen until 5 then once she was seen all the sales reps on the floor dissapered. Which lead the rep that was doing my daughter face to run the floor also. I became very impatient due to not only the rep was doing my child face and being interrupted by guest but was also disrupted by employees that was not helping. Her prom was @7 left the MAC store @ 615. But with all that said the overall work was on point. They should have more help during they peak season and not all dissapere at once. read more

I frequent many MAC cosmetics locations. I am a MAC Pro member this store lacks customer service. I have never been greeted once upon entering the store. I usually have to wait around at the front to provided my list of supplies needed. I hate that this is the only pro store in the area. I now travel to Orlando or order online to avoid being a burden to anyone in this location. read more

If you go on a weekend, expect to wait! It's a small store with heavy demand and that's just what it is. I'm attributing some of the unfriendly or unhelpful staff to the fact that they are busy and stressed. I ask for Simone when she is in. She is so friendly and really takes the time to understand your needs and also makes great recommendations! While they are busy she might ask me to wait while she helps someone else, but she is generous with her time in showing you the application of products. read more

A colleague of mine, and myself walked into the store. We just had a company dinner, and we discussed her makeup. We decided to go into the MAC store before leaving the next day. I wanted to help her. Considering I am a former Product Specialist, former full timer, and a occasional freelance. ... I figured let's do this.!!!!!! We met a gentlemen with long brown hair, and highlights. He explained it would take too long to take her makeup off to find out her foundation, He began to explain that her foundation was already the right color. It was not !!! So, another lady came in, and may be he thought she had more money , but we became nothing. So, I asked to borrow a brush, and he gave me one with an attitude. I pulled her eye cream, oil control lotion, and had to find our own face wipes. I removed half her face. I applied all the moisturizer, concealer, and then asked him for a suggestion for powder. He gave us 2 colors. He said, I didn't know you wanted to play... I thought you wanted help. How rude!!!! I matched the foundation, used a golden bronzer , highlighter, and a nice gleam to her skin. The guy left the floor before we finished. We heard hi, say... this lady... The lady left on the floor pulled everything for us. Apparently, he went to lunch. May I remind you there was 10 minutes before the store closed. My friend bought the fast response, oil control lotion, studio fix powder, and concealer. Your UPT would have been met. True meaning of customer service ... NO!!!! As someone who had worked for MAC ... This is bad. I practically made the sell for you. All you had to do was not be arrogant. It's okay for the consumer to have knowledge. Not everyone will be confused coming through the door!!!! read more

horrible customer service. poor stock of lipsticks --- 8 or 9 of the ones i picked were out of stock (for good) 4 staff were focused on two teenage girls playing dress up in the mirror. I couldn't even get a may i help you. when i found color i like -- it was out of stock --- asked if there was anything close ---- and got the hands on hips ---- stink eye for the male clerk. "yeah, but I need to finishing cleaning mirrors" really ??? go somewhere else --- clearly they are not interested in 180.00 - 200.00 worth of receipts in the till. It's not every day that you meet people with as generous and gracious hearts as the management and artists at this store, especially Magdalena and Brianna. As part of a special wish reveal for a local Make-A-Wish recipient, Brittany, the store donated a makeup session for her and her sister. They accommodated last minute schedule changes and made the girls (and their entourage) feel welcomed. Thank you for a bright and beautiful experience; the girls makeup turned out amazing. i was recently at the MAC store in the international plaza. It was so busy in there, but i saw a girl that was cleaning her brushes without even looking up to see if there was anyone she could be helping. I figured she could help me very quickly with my one question, so i approached her very kindly. She looked up at me with such a disgusted look in her face i was genuinely shocked! she seemed so angry that i had interrupted her. I asked her if i could please be matched with my right color foundation and she just said " sure, give me a second to finish cleaning my brushes." i've never experienced such poor service. i walked away, and was helped by another young lady who was very nice. i asked for the rude sales associates name and i was told it was Anastasia. HOW RUDE! i cant believe MAC hires "artists" like her. she's lucky i'm not taking this to corporate. I dont wear much makeup,but she set me down and walked me through it as well as actaully understood my daily routine and made my look simple. I've been to the Mac at International Mall to have my makeup done several times and I have to say Ronnie, Hendricka, and Lazette are the best makeup artist at that store. I wouldnt personally recommend going to anyone else. No matter your race, age, or gender I am confident that they will make you look absolutely amazing. As for the other makeup artist there, they were ok but they didnt meet my personal expectations. read more
