NEVER AGAIN--for another eight years. (we tried this place a long time ago) arrived 2/1/24 4:30pm Called in advance and was told BBQ ribs are only on Saturday, but today we have cat fish.... ok fine...but by 5:30 they were OUT of catfish and no more to be put out. (what and you only close at 8pm ) The Roasted chicken was so dry like it was moist the day before and this was just reheated up...YUK There was pulled pork and some toppings for them , but they also looked dryer than normal. The Hash , i watched , came fresh (if you call fresh out of a jar) out of 2 --large labeled jars....it was decent . But the limited selection and the QUALITY was sooooo far below our expectations that i can think of better places to spend my money. And it's not the money, raise prices if you must, but you have to improve the food quality... I WILL NOT BE BACK in my opinion i give this place minus one star

While visiting South Carolina, we wanted to try some authentic barbecue. This restaurant was close to an attraction. We wanted to see. When we went. It was buffet style. They make a hash which is a local dish. It was really good as well as the mustard chopped pork. I really enjoyed their coleslaw. Employees were coming around refilling drinks and taking dirty plates. We tried the pudding for dessert and they were pretty good If you're in the area I would give it a try.

A barbecue plate from Music mans BBQ, baked macaronic, ham hock, hashand rice, chicken and dumplings and meat loaf

I went there with the wife after doing some shopping. I had really high hopes since I heard that it had a great buffet and even better BBQ. The price was okay. Two senior buffets was a little less than thirty dollars for lunch. But then we got up to buffet, the chickens was so dry, the yams we hard as a rock, the macaroni and cheese was dry, the string beans were mush and the one thing I really hoped for was the pulled pork. They had 2 different styles, one with vinegar, and 1 with mustard. Both were mushy and had no flavor unless you put on some of their BBQ sauces to spice it up. I did enjoy the meatloaf, the sausage and onions were good also, though they were cold. I would not recommend this place at least for lunch. I might give him a try for dinner. I really wanna like the place. By the way, I am a K.C.B.S. barbecue judge for over ten years.

What by their kitchen and on their shells was large cans of Margaret, Holmes beans, etc. I thought I was paid for homemade food.

Our server was extremely polite and stayed on top of our drinks and brought everything out fresh and hot. Appetizer was the cheese curds.. they were delicious!! Served with marinara .. I love pepper jam w cheese curds but the marinara was so delicious. Husband ordered a 2 hotdog combo and he loved it. The fries were great and hotdogs were grilled or fried and that's the best way to have them. A little too much topping la but he scraped some off so it was fine. I had the fish and chips. It was a HUGE PORTION. I could only eat 1 small piece. Very tasty and again fries were great. No pic but we actually had dessert.. we did the peanut butter pie and it was a nice size. My husband and I were able to share it . I definitely recommend.

I enjoyed seeing all the families with little come out and have fun. There's also merch for purchase. Our server was attentive despite it being crowded. The food: the fried pickles were perfect. I had the patty melt and fries it was unflavirful but had all the fixings. My son had the chicken strips and fries; which he said were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy. The drinks were good and had just enough alcohol. Overall engage a great time and will be back to try different things in the menu. Definitely check this place out! Especially if you have young ones and want to have them participate in bingo! Its fun! It's conveniently located in the Public shopping center and I believe they have various activities on other nights. Don't quote me on that as I can only attest to bingo!

We recently hosted our daughter's First Communion celebration at Ophelia's Wines & Bites, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. Throughout the planning process, numerous promises were made regarding setup assistance, décor, staffing, food portions, beverage service, and overall event coordination that were either not followed through on or changed entirely by the day of the event. Family members and guests ended up handling many tasks that we were told would already be completed, including decorating, organizing tables, lighting candles, and addressing missing items while guests were arriving. Food portions were much smaller than represented during the tasting, several items we expected to be included were charged separately, beverage service was poorly managed, and there was little to no actual table service despite paying for what was presented as an "all-inclusive" event experience. Most upsetting was the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability afterward. We spent a significant amount of money expecting professionalism and hospitality, but left feeling stressed, embarrassed, and taken advantage of during what should have been a very special day for our daughter. I am sharing this simply so others thoroughly clarify ALL expectations, pricing, staffing, setup responsibilities, food quantities, and service details in writing before booking an event there.

The atmosphere is charming, and the space itself appeared clean, but the place was completely empty during our visit, which surprised us. I ordered a Lambrusco from the sparkling section of the menu and expected something bubbly, but what came out was a still red wine. Everyone at the table was a little confused by that. Thankfully it still tasted good, so I kept it -- just not what I thought I ordered. For food, I had the crostini, which tasted good, but for the price I expected larger portions rather than very thin slivers of toasted bread with cheese and fruit. We also ordered the s'mores, which were fun and tasty, but again didn't quite feel worth the cost. A few more strawberries or a way to toast the marshmallows would've elevated it. The service was truly great, though. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, attentive, and checked on us often. She was definitely the highlight of the visit. The only real downside was seeing a few roaches on the wall. I know it's the South and it happens, but it's still not ideal in a dining setting, even in a place that otherwise seemed clean. Overall, Ophelia's has so much charm and potential, and with a few improvements -- clearer menu descriptions, portion adjustments, and addressing the pest issue -- it could be a wonderful go-to spot.
