Place was clean. Waitress was polite and initiative. Price was reasonable. The hot dogs and fries were okay. Plenty of parking.

On my long drive home from Mount Pleasant to Moncks Corner after a 12 hour shift at work, I had plenty of time to consider what I'd want for dinner. Moncks Corner has so many fast food restaurants but today I wanted to spend my money on a local establishment That's My Dawg. I walked in, weary from a long day running events to be greeted by a guitarist, backing tracks, and 6 whooping elderly patrons. They were enjoying themselves, a little tipsy, and loud. Fortunately I wasn't looking for peace and quiet, just a quick to go order of a chili dog, sausage dog, wings, and onion rings. I shuffled my way to the counter, carrying the weight of the day only to wait 5 minute before spoken to by one of the servers. My order was placed quickly and was assured it would be out "soon." I took my seat to listen to a good guitarist with better backing tracks fighting a losing battle with the impending headache forming at the back of my skull. At the 10 minute mark I considered ordering a drink to silence my inner voice of doubt telling me I should have just gone to Chick-fil-a but surely my food would be out "soon." At the 20 minute mark, the guitarist stopped his set to take a break as I watch other patrons receive their food and drinks after I had ordered. I could only assume extra time and attention was being used for me. Perhaps they needed to grind the sausage in the back before cooking and serving it for my order. Perhaps they had to pluck all those fresh chicken wings. Maybe they were harvesting the onion in real time to deliver it to me. My orders surely not just food, but a statement of art and love too beautiful for human consumption. My excited and eagerness grew until the 30 minute mark when a different server asked if I had been helped. Was my order lost? Had I been forgotten? Maybe they weren't freshly grinding my sausage dog after all! Everything seemed to be ok because after I said I had a to go order, she never returned to give me an update. I had considered resting my eyes, which became increasingly difficult after the guitarists mandatory rendition of "Sweet Caroline" at the 45 minute mark. That's when the angel from the kitchen appeared, bag in hand. My expectations: high My anticipation: at a fever pitch My hunger: endless My reason to give my wife for taking so long: formulating I smiled and took the bag eagerly to my car to drive the 5 minutes to my house to enjoy this meal clearly crafted with an artist's hand and a mother's heart. ...the first words my wife spoke regarding her hot dawg was "weird" My sausage dog was serviceable, the wings were serviceable, the onion rings were also....serviceable. As I sat on my couch ignoring survivor, trying to enjoy the food I waited an entire set to receive, and holding back a primal scream regarding my 6am call time; a single tear fell down my cheek in my sheer disappointment and defeat from this experience. Maybe I'll go back when I'm not coming from work, and have no where to be urgently, and there isn't entertainment, and can order food in my third Jack and Coke. I really do want to try one of the great hot dogs I've been hearing about. read more

Heard about this place and rave of good burgers and hot dogs. Lots of parking available. Upon entry it was somewhat dark due to the tinted glass. Lots of space and dawned in sports memorabilia. I waited for 7-10 minutes before being able to place an order. After that food took maybe 15 minutes to come out. Waiting close to 30 minutes was a let down for sure. It wasn't super busy but the servers were running around. I think it's better to call in ahead of time. Overall the burger was flavorful and steaming hot. Food prices are a little high for a burger and fry but you are paying for labor and service. Would return read more

We have been here several times. The first time we have gone there it was slow. The food took a really long time, but thankfully, we are very patient. The second time we went the food came out fast and it was just what we needed to fill our bellies. It is a typical sports bar feel inside, but they have a pretty large selection of food on their menu. Obviously the place is all about hotdog, but I had their boneless buffalo wings and that hit the spot. It's very hard to find a spot with good boneless wings! My kids devour the hotdog like it's their job! The location is pretty random at the moment but they are building up so many things out there that they're in a prime location. The servers are fantastic. Super polite. The food? It was brought out by a gentleman in the back. One could tell he didn't want to be at work today. He did not check the food or to which table it was supposed to go. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. No bacon. Ok, no problem. I asked for an extra slice of cheese and mayo on the side. The burger itself was completely burnt and barely warm. The cheese had not melted at all, straight of the fridge like it was a second thought. No fries, received tater tots (not bad, just don't really like tater tots) instead of fries. When the food was placed, no "enjoy your meal", didn't bother to ask if it looked all right, or if we needed anything else. He just walked away. Anyone who has worked in the food industry knows you check the food before leaving the kitchen. To serve a burnt and cold burger? Inexcusable. It was like a burger at a cookout had fallen into the coals and forgotten burnt. Plus it's Mother's Day? Sad, acted as though there was no pride or they don't care about the business. I didn't eat it, and the server removed it from the bill. Super nice of her. But I heard her say she had to void 4 orders today and was going to have to pay for it? For my meal, it should be whoever the man was that brought it out. He didn't check the food. A few minutes later, another server asked the lady doing the door dash orders of she had seen a classic burger with tots come through. I said, that must be what I got served. So my meal was actually never prepped. By then, it was about 15 minutes to close. So we paid and left. I feel bad for the servers. One didn't want to go in the back to tell the cook or whoever about the wrong order. That "he's going to yell at her". Hope she finds a new job. I personally won't go there again. My sister and I went to meet up with a bunch of ladies from a Facebook group to celebrate a member's birthday. We had so much fun! Since it was our first time, I asked our waitress ( she was super sweet) what she recommended and went with the spicy peach wings (I'm probably saying it wrong.) and they were delicious! It was karaoke too so we had a blast. We'll definitely be back! read more

Went to play the free bingo, we asked for 2 glasses of wine and were then told we couldn't play bingo unless we ordered food. We had already had dinner so we were told we had to either order food or no bingo. Supposedly the rules had just changed that very night. Terrible customer service. read more

Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere is ok, they offered to order off of the menu or the buffet. Looked at buffet, very basic with only a couple items and they all looked they been sitting there for a while. We ordered burgers and fries. Our waitress was really nice and polite. Order did come out quick, like in 5 min, which tells me things were not freshly made. Burgers looked and tasted good, give them a 6. Fries were not fresh and tasted like they have been under a heating lamp for too long, give them a 2. Would try this place again, just not on a Sunday. read more

I have to say I was not impressed. I got the sausage dog and the regular hotdog with chilli and cheese. The sausage dog was very low quality. I think it was a frozen sausage that was boiled or microwaved. Not good at all. The hot dog???? Why is the hot dog red? I remember those hotdogs growing up. Low quality as well. Just had lunch here with friends. It was good. I tried the Philly steak salad which I thought was awesome. Not something you find and "Ally" our waitress had to put it in as a Cobb salad with Philly cheese steak. One of my friends had a BLT with onion rings and I tried an onion ring, great. The wife had a Philly cheese steak with slaw, but she brought it out with fries and then went and got the slaw? Thought the fries were good and the slaw was very creamy. The wife thought the Philly was too salty but I tasted it as sweet from the red peppers. Another friend had no comment. Overall a good lunch. Complaints were the taxes on everything and note they add 4% for using a credit card. Do like establishments that charge for that when the prices are high enough to cover it. I feel they are trying their best to get more $$$$. I don't think I will be back because of the surcharges. Too many good places to go! Oh, one other thing, I asked fora receipt and all it showed were the individual taxes not the itemized items, so I really didn't know what I was charged for the salad or the beer I had , or whether they charged extra for the slaw. Should have stayed a food truck. If feeling like you're being interrogated in a cafeteria is the atmosphere you're looking for then this is the place. Insanely bright lighting, weirdly quiet music and a very high number of kids.... being that it's basically a bar. I'm confused by what this place is supposed to be, feels like an identity crisis. I'm sorry but this was not worth the time I'm taking to write this review, I stopped in here because 1, I heard that it was good and 2, I needed to pick up a quick meal because I did not have time to cook, I ordered a sausage dawg and a hamburger to go, I sat at the bar after ordering and played with my phone with a conscious thought that it may be a few minutes because they had to cook the burger, well not even 5 mins went by and they brought me my food, with one eyebrow raised, i grabbed my bag and headed home, I opened my sausage dawg and admittedly it was tasty but cold, not the 5 mins went drive kinda' cold .. oh well, ima' eat it any way. I was out the door for an event, Later my wife texted me and said, "thanks for the hockey puck" I'm like what? She said that hamburger was so dry that she could not eat it as well as the fries, fresh out from under the lights. I'm sure they don't need my business because they will never get it again! Up here in MoCo, (which is what relative newcomers call Moncks Corner to the irritation of the lifelong residents) we are not overrun with places to eat. Fast food? We got it. Mexican? At least 3 or 4, all good. We even have a few BBQ choices. What we lacked much of was a casual, family friendly and welcoming spot for a tasty meal, attentive staff and easy on the wallet. That's My Dawg checks the boxes, especially in the new location, which is roomier and has an actual small stage for live performances, like my friend Chris Sullivan. Went this past Saturday ( Jan. 25,2025 ) 4 or us. first time being there , but definitely not the last. Three of us got the all you can eat crab legs, and one the chicken tacos. First of all the service was the best, our waitress Ally ? was terrific, she explained the menu and how everything worked, was super friendly and attentive even though they were busy. For $ 52.00 the crab legs were a good value, they were very tasty, full of meat, and they brought them out before we had to ask for more, the same for refilling the drinks. We will be back during the week to try the rest of the menu as well as the live entertainment.Fun crowd, but if you want an intimate quiet place, this ain't it. This is the kind of place where you can talk to the people at the next table. In short a FUN place. I have to give this place 5 stars and here's why....it is basic, clean; good food and friendly staff. This place is not for the hoity-toity unless they're looking to get back to their roots. The burger tasted like I was at a family cookout. A lil char never hurt nobody and the chili/slaw topping just blessed my soul!! The burger was perfectly sloppy without sacrificing the stability of the bun, which is huge. The crinkle fries were lightly seasoned and the egg rolls were really good. They came out piping hot. Creamy cheese, lovely flavorful chili all topped on a tasty, snap dawg of a hot dog. The bun is warm, can handle all the toppings and doesn't degrade as the meal progresses. Outside picnic tables are clean and you can bring your dawg! Water bucket provided and a staff wanting dog loving. Does a springtime, outdoor meal get any better? Not on in my orbit. Went here for their grand opening. They had Fast service, live music, and a cornhole tournament. Bought the hot dog wrapped in bacon with chili & queso on top. It was delicious, would recommend this place to anyone. read more
