So good almost forgot to take a picture! Fresh greens ham Chef Salad
Chrissy F.

I gotta say their salads to-go are incredibly tasty! I'm impressed by the cleanliness of their lettuce..y'know how some salads have that stained, wilted, spotty kind of greens? Not Robert's! I get the salad where it includes ham, onions, tomatoes, some red cabbage, egg, tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce with a generous side cup of ranch. The salad itself has a "smoothness" to it from the egg and ranch with a crisp bite of the lettuce. Love the quality of their greens!!

BBQ Plate with coleslaw and Banana Pudding!

This place has a great Carolina sauce. A hash and rice came with my plate and I had no idea what that was. Still not completely sure but it's a pork or beef sweet sauce served over rice. Very delicious! Coleslaw was also very tasty. The Carolina sauce comes on the food already so if you do not want it let them know when you order. The seasonal dessert was banana pudding and it had coconut flakes in it. I did not care for it but several others in my party loved it. Very friendly staff and the restaurant tables were clean. The inside smelled great too!

Robert's has been a staple for my family for years. We frequently visited the location on River's Ave back in the day. Every time my family comes into town, they want Robert's. They have good burgers & their onion rings are delicious. Their menu is on the smaller size, but they have a decent assortment of options. The biggest issue for this place is that is severely needs a makeover! It's doesn't look the cleanest & the decor is straight out of the 1980s. I know they probably cannot afford a renovation, but I guarantee that it would improve business. Overall, it isn't bad. I will continue to eat here on occasion.

Roberts Bar B Que on Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston is a great place to get delicious BBQ and sides when you are hungry and need something fast. I really like everything on their menu and they have been consistent in their quality throughout the years. I have enjoyed coming here.

Roberts Bar B Que is and will be a Charleston staple. I can't believe they closed down the one in North Charleston right before you get to Goose Creek. What the what?!? There's something magical that happens when they take that pulled pork, plop it on that bun with the mustardy looking sauce...Mmmm mmmm good!! Onion rings are also deliciouso!! In true southern tradition, there sweet tea is SWEET but hey...take it home, separate into two cups and add water. Then you have twice the amount :) I don't come here for "my pleasure" service. Just gimme my food cause it's awesome!

I love this place. It has the best onion rings there are. The service was terrific and friendly. The Ambiance was comfortable for my family.

My first trip here. The burgers are off the charts but the key is the onion rings. They are best I ever ate. Unbelievable!!!!

The line was out the door but moved quickly. Once inside, the sign on the wall encourages you to grab a beer from the bar to drink while you wait, which we did - great idea! We got the following to share: brisket, ribs, a hot sausage link, coleslaw and mac & cheese. The flavor of the meat tasted like Jesus himself made it AND blessed it before giving it to me. The texture is so tender that you don't even need teeth to eat it. The meat effortlessly fell off the rib bone as soon as it touched my lips! And those sides!! BEST mac & cheese and coleslaw I've ever had anywhere in my life. The coleslaw had very thin sliced green pepper in it (which I loved) and was also the perfect consistency of not-too-wet and not-too-dry. I don't know if it would be possible to make the mac & cheese any creamier or dreamier than it already is; I could have eaten a bucket of it! I already can't wait to come back here again!! :)

But it's worth the wait. There's also complimentary water available just inside the door, and you can order a beer or drink at the bar to sip on while you wait. Counter staff are courteous and helpful. They even provided an extra bite of brisket for me to munch on while prepping my order. A half-pound of brisket, moist, was my selection, and it needed no sauce at all for the meat and the cooking method stood on their own. All the traditional Texas accoutrements were provided as well (hooray) and I added some creamy macaroni & cheese to finish off my plate. It all came at a reasonable price too, one of the few instances in Charleston where I felt like I was getting my money's worth at a restaurant. There's covered outdoor seating as well as lots of tables, booths and counter options inside, so even as busy as things were I had a surprising number of options on where to dine. The space was kept clean and near by swarming staff members...which leads to my only issue. When I got up to grab another beverage, the quick thinking bussers took away my plate before I was completely done! Aside from that faux pas, I strongly recommend visiting the Lewis operation. Genuine Texas style barbecue experience (including Shiner on draft!) coupled with efficient, welcoming service is a winning combination in my book.

Sausage is ok, and likes the chicken when he is in the mood for it. He hasnt had anything there that he doesnt like. I loved the turkey, baked beans and Mac n cheese. Our Hurricane drink was pretty delicious( with part of the proceeds goes to a charity for that one particular drink). The server was polite and friendly. They smoke and bbq all the meats right out back of the restaurant so the food came out quick, fresh and amazing! I personally loved the Mustard and Sweet Red sauces while my husband prefers the slight heat of the Jalapeño sauce . The recipes for the sauces are hanging up on the walls as part of the decor. The only thing i could knock them for is the bathroms were a little dingy. Not really super dirty, just needs some updating with new tiles and paint. Overall great place and we will definitely will be returning!

However, I feel like we've had better barbecue up north than we did here... We ordered a brisket plate + a pork belly plate to share with mac & cheese, grits and corn pudding. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The pork belly was more fat than meat. Thank goodness for the variety of delicious sauces they provided with our meals! I'm giving two stars for the sides & sauces being pretty good but that's about it. I don't know the area but I'm sure you can find better meats elsewhere :(

Growing up in the Lowcountry, Sticky Fingers was one of mine (and my family's) favorite…read morerestaurants. Before all of their Lowcountry locations shuttered their doors, we could come here for special family occasions, casual lunches in downtown when I was a student at College of Charleston, or a dinner spot to pop into when running errands in Summerville or Mt. Pleasant. Imagine my joy upon returning for a visit to the Lowcountry for Mother's Day and finding out Sticky Fingers had made a long awaited return to North Charleston. I literally came here for dinner right after my flight landed Friday evening. It pains me to say, however, that THIS new Sticky Fingers is NOT the Sticky Fingers I grew up enjoying. I ordered some of my old-faithful menu items, only to find that none of them tasted the same. The hickory smoked wings were overcooked and dry (BURNT crispy on the edges), the pulled pork was hella dry ( I had to DROWN it in Carolina Gold sauce), and the fries that used to be delicious and crispy with the best fry seasoning had none of that going on. The only item that even tasted remotely close to what it used to be was my favorite appetizer - the loaded sticky potato skins. These were the best thing we had during dinner. Service was sub-par despite the fact that there were barely any other diners in the restaurant. We had to ask our server for items we ordered multiple times. For example, the corn bread that was supposed to come out with our entrees did not. We had to flag our server down on two separate times before they were brought out. In addition, there wasn't really any music playing in the restaurant so it was incredibly quiet and I felt like we were eating in a library. You would hear a song play every now and then very sporadically. Not sure if they were having issues with their speakers or what but with the lack of other diners it made for a bit of an awkward dining experience. At the close of our meal we sat there for 25+ minutes (after they had already closed at 9 mind you) before our server brought our checks to us - saying that another worker said they had taken care of our bill so she didn't realize we needed to pay. I missed the sweet corn muffins. I missed the loud blues music blaring from the speakers. I missed the exceptional high-quality food and friendly, professional service. Sticky Fingers may be back, but it ain't my Sticky Fingers.

Two of us ordered the margaritas on special, the berry margarita and the jalapeño margarita. Neither of us liked them. They both were too sweet and the jalapeño wasn't spicy. It had jalapeños floating in it, but it looked like pickled jalapeños from the jar, not fresh. My husband ordered tea and we had to ask four times for some lemon. His macaroni and cheese with pulled chicken was fine, but the cornbread was very dry and not flavorful. The appetizer soul rolls weren't what we expected based on the menu description. I wasn't a fan of the sliders, but honestly that's just because I'm not a fan of barbecue sauce that's sweet and all of them leaned sweet. So that was just my personal taste issue. My side of macaroni and cheese was good, though. The tray of meat and sides was fine. Unfortunately, we would not choose to visit this place again.
