We got reservations for Tuesday noon on the day of and it was much freer. The food is so good. I got grits without the cheese because of stomach issues, and it was still so flavorful. The omelette was fluffy, and my companions really enjoyed the club sandwich, but the steak sandwich less so. The potatoes and toast were good too along with sweet potato fries. The regular fries was apparently not as good. The french toast wasn't bad but had better elsewhere. I also got the ginger pear and it is very floral and flavorful. I'd get this again.

I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with an over-hard egg, while another guest ordered the same sandwich with an over-easy egg. When our food arrived, the over-easy sandwich was correct, but the sandwich placed in front of me had an over-medium egg with a runny yolk instead of the over-hard egg I specifically requested. I always make a point to clearly ask for a fully cooked egg because I cannot tolerate runny yolks. I politely called our waitress over and explained what had happened. I told her that the sandwich in front of me belonged to the other guest, and that the sandwich they had received appeared to have been intended as mine, except the egg was still runny and wasn't cooked over hard as ordered. Rather than listening to my concern, she responded in a very condescending manner and insisted the order was correct and that we simply needed to switch plates. I explained that switching plates would not solve the actual issue--the egg itself had not been cooked as ordered. She eventually took my sandwich back to have it remade, but after that interaction she rarely checked back on our table for the remainder of the meal and seemed to avoid us entirely. I never raised my voice or made a scene; I simply wanted the food I ordered prepared correctly. Mistakes happen in any restaurant, and I am completely understanding of that. What was most disappointing wasn't the kitchen error, it was the dismissive response to a reasonable request and the lack of service afterward. Since I had spoken so highly of this restaurant beforehand, it was embarrassing to have my guests experience this as their first visit.

My upcoming Sunday album contains 20…read moretracks, all titled Sunday, each built from 4 bars of Handel's Passacaglia--a public-domain piece with 68 bars total. Before releasing the album, I submitted each track as a single. Symphonic approved 17 of them without issue. But then, out of nowhere, they rejected one track, saying I "can't change the title from Passacaglia to Sunday." That makes absolutely no sense, why approve 17 tracks with the same 4-bar structure but reject one for the same reason? When I followed their own instructions and replied to the rejection email to request clarification, I never heard back. It's been 19 days. When I tagged them on X (formerly Twitter) 3 times to draw attention to the issue, instead of resolving it, Symphonic suspended my entire artist account, locking me out and cutting off access to my earnings, without a single explanation email. This is unprofessional, inconsistent, and completely unfair to artists who depend on their income. I'm now filing a complaint with the BBB because this has crossed the line into withholding funds. If you're an independent musician, think twice before trusting Symphonic with your catalog or royalties. And they'll be hearing from my lawyer, too, soon.

This is our favorite Creative Loafing event. We enjoy tasting all the different Bloody Mary's and the love that so many restaurants put into their sample foods. It typically takes an hour to make our first round through each of the booths. We then go through again to our favorites and place our votes. BUT...not this year!!!! The event was held in a different location, a smaller location. There were only a few booths with food and/or drinks, and the rest were completely unrelated to "Brunch". I can't even count how many people I raved about this event to....people that ALSO bought VIP tickets....OMG I'm sooooo embarrassed!!!!! We found the lady that said she was in charge of the event and shared our extreme disappointment and also embarrassment that we felt. We explained that it wasn't worth the cost of gas and parking to attend, much less the cost of 4 VIP tickets. She agreed that the event wasn't what it should have been. I asked for a refund. She took down my information and said she would give us 4 VIP tickets to Margarita Wars and some over 30 event they were doing. That was the last I've heard... I tried sending emails through the Creative Loafing website. I tried calling several different phone numbers listed. I've left numerous messages over the past few months and sent numerous emails....with NO response! I feel as though Creative Loafing is actually becoming a scam. They charge really high fees and at any moment, at any event, they can just take your money and run, and give you a sub-par event. I know in the past they have stood behind their events, but the past few months have proven otherwise to me. BUYER BEWARE! YOUR EVENT COULD BE THE NEXT VICTIM!

Somehow they are well connected with the local restaurants. Their food and drink section offer a lot of choice. Other than the food, they have art and entertainment.
