Low end, overpriced junk inventory. Disorganized store you have to shuffle through. Shockingly rude employee. I would give zero stars if I could. This shop is clearly not in the business of making money. I would not go back even for a pack of strings if I was in a bind. Go to Ted Brown music, they are actually willing to help you and have a better selection. I honestly hope this place goes under. Low key low pressure music store. The owner is very knowledgable and very helpful for answering instrument and equipment questions even when it didn't pertain to a sale. This is the kind of business I want to spend money on before going to the big on line stores. I believe it is just the right thing to patronize local business. read more

As I entered the small-ish and cramped store, it opened up a bit into a slightly less cramped space with music books taking up the majority of the space within the store, and guitars and other instruments lining the walls. The employees "dick" et al. I would not call friendly but they did assist me in obtaining what I needed. If it's not in stock they will order it. "ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS" says a sign on the counter. They allow returns, but only for store credit. They have lots of guitars on the wall that may be able to be tried out (I didn't attempt this). They have one drum set for sale, and it's up on a shelf; untouchable. If you know what you want and can wait for it to ship, you'll find it cheaper online; as with almost anything these days. They will add 30 cents to any purchase less than $5 if using a credit card to purchase to cover the fees associated with processing a credit transaction. We're new to the area and I needed a new guitar case for my Martin Junior guitar. Thinking Ted Brown was the only game in town, (who didn't have what I needed,) I'd spent a couple weeks searching online and calling the big national chain stores, but my guitar is an unusual size, so I was having a hard time trying to figure out the right fit. I didn't want to order a case and have to pay to ship such a large item back. I finally heard about Music Unlimited and went in, hoping maybe they could order something for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a ton of cases in stock, and when I explained my problem, Dick knew exactly what I needed, and started pulling down a bunch of options, helping until we found the right fit. These guys really know their stuff, and for such a small shop, they're packed with supplies, and if they don't have it, they can get it. I'm thrilled to find such a great local music store here in town, and will happily give them plenty more of my business. read more

I had broke a string and gone to ted brown and they said that I could get it fixed in a month or two I asked him and he said within two days. I really like how you can play the many different selection of stringed instruments there. I bought my banjo and mandolin from this place and I would keep supporting this business. Been going to Music Unlimited for several years. Dick the owner is very helpful. I don't get where someone would call him not friendly but helpful ? wth..someone gots a chip on their shoulder? The sign say's no refunds not no returns! Understandable for being a music store. The BBB says most small business don't give refunds.Whats your deal did you think you get buy a killer guitar and just use it for the weekend to show off and think you could just take it back and get your money back??haha sign on counter states that under ten dollars thirty cents will be charged for card processing .
