It has been amazing spending the last year at Musicology. We started when my daughter was a young toddler around 14 months. My daughter absolutely loves class and it is a highlight of our week every week. It has been so great meeting other families with similar aged kiddos and enjoying the curated themes and lessons! The teachers are absolutely phenomenal with all the children and definitely bring you into the musicology family and love and celebrate your little one along side you. I have a very small "village" and am so grateful to have my musicology community supporting my parenthood journey! I've learned so much about children, music, and parenting in my weekly classes. With a medically complex child it has been hard finding places I feel safe bringing my daughter to. Musicology is one of the few places I feel completely confident bringing my kiddo. Their sick policy leaves no room for interpretation and we really appreciate the ease of scheduling and flexibility of makeup classes-- encouraging all the families to keep each other safe! I really wish I started bringing my 2 year old here sooner but you know the pandemic and all made me hesitant. I finally started feeling comfortable coming when they offered mask option classes. They also limit about 7-8 a parent w/kid. My daughter is quiet shy so I like that she can sit with me and the teachers are all so nice with her. Over the last few months she has definitely gotten more comfortable and enjoys going to class. They really do a great job making the environment fun for both parents and kids. They do incorporate a little of sign language and teach kids more than just music. Also, for a stay at home mom like me it's nice to meet other moms (sometimes dads) and their kiddos. Def recommend Musicology. I believe they have a one class trial too. read more

The program also works in the community with family resource centers -- I love knowing they are connecting with community. Musicology has become a second family to me and my kiddo. Since he was born just before covid hit, we started with zoom classes that we absolutely loved! We felt like we really got to know Miss Mary and Miss Leah and I felt like they helped me figure out what to do with this new baby. When my son needed surgery they even got all the parents in the class to participate in a video they made to wish him a speedy recovery. Since we've started going back in person, Miss Megan, and any subs we've ever had the pleasure of meeting, have just made our Musicology experience amazing. My son totally lights up in class and I have a lot of fun too! I would recommend Musicology to anyone with a little kid. You won't regret it. read more

Our son attends Kiddy Keys and absolutely loves it. The class is once per week, but he literally asks to go everyday. The instructor Miss. Megan is amazing. She has the most beautiful voice and is beyond excellent with children. She keeps them engaged and excited the whole session. The owners could not be nicer or more accommodating. The studio is super clean and neat. We cannot rave enough about Musicology. Just wish we had found it sooner and it went beyond age 5. read more

My daughter loves musicology and specifically Mary Jane! If your baby loves music and learning, this is the perfect environment. I tried it out for free and after seeing my baby's reaction to Mary Jane and the class, I had to sign her up. She is literally mesmerized every single time! I just wish they offered more variety in the times of the classes or an early afternoon class, nap schedules can make it hard to make an 11:30am class. read more

My 20 month old loves Musicology! We've been going for about a year now and he's always excited for music class! Such a fun, safe, clean (and air conditioned!) environment to simulate new parts of his brain and let him interact with other little ones. All the teachers and staff are wonderful. I am in love with this program! This is way beyond a music class. Mary's instruction provided a variety of stimulating activities to do with our little ones . Each activity was the perfect amount of time , keeping our babies happy and engaged. ( our class had infants as young as 6 weeks and mine was the oldest @ 4.5 months) I loved how she explained how each practice was triggering certain development in our babies brains - even better - I could actually SEE my baby react to the activities! I was watching him discover , explore and learn. I felt extremely connected with my son during our visit. Even when we got home, I felt like he and I were calm and content. I was also very impressed with the small class size, the sweet mamas that were in the group and how CLEAN it was! The only complaint I have is that this class is only 1 time a week! We love this place so much! I was a little skeptical about music lessons for a toddler, but I also knew I wanted my daughter to love music as much as I do. We tried the free class at Musicology and I knew right away that we were both going to love it. Miss Peggy was our teacher for the trial class and we ended up in Miss Mary Jane's class. Both teachers are amazing! They are clearly passionate about music and are so good with the kids. Each month the class has a different theme that exposes the children to different types of music. Classes incorporate music, movement, sign language, and a variety of other skills to make it a well-rounded experience. Class time flies by every week! The songs they teach in class are so much fun that we sing them at home too and my daughter uses sign language to ask for more time and time again. read more

We absolutely love the class. My baby is 3 months old and I can see his developmental progression during the class. It's really tailored for his age range. Ms. Jenny is super sweet and engaging. My daughter has been going here for almost a year, since her first birthday. The classes are amazing, enough repetition that the kids learn what to expect and feel comfortable with the routine, and enough new material to keep them interested and engaged. My daughter started Musicology program when she was 1.5 y.o. This is by far the best music program for younger children out there! Classes are child-focused, very dynamic and fun. Always start on time. Activities switch at a good pace so that kids can take the time to enjoy them, but in the same time do not get bored. Each of the 3 teachers we had classes with, delivered the program with no glitch and were always consistent. Parents and babies never have to wonder what we are doing at any given time. All three teachers are so good with kids! The atmosphere is friendly, fun, and individual attention is given to each child throughout each class - very personable. As compared to other programs we tried, this one is superior. My only complaint is the same as M.B.'s review - that this class is only one time a week. read more

We have been taking our daughter here since she was 3 weeks old and she LOVES it. Mary does a wonderful job running the class while making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. All the babies love her, there's usually nothing but smiles when they see her. We had our first Musicology class today and absolutely LOVED it! The teacher, Mary, was amazing. We were late because I got the times mixed up (ugh) and she let us join the class anyway and made us feel welcome and included us in everything. Two highly qualified teachers lead parents and babies through activities that support brain development. During our first class we danced with the babies, while a teacher played the violin. We played with a parachute, unusual instruments, and scarves. The time went too quickly. I'm not sure who loved it more, me or my 7month old granddaughter. While the cost is a bit high, the educational value is outstanding. These teachers have a wealth of experience and knowledge about brain development. read more
