So as a drummer, Its always been the drum section for me but today I came in because I want to start learning something new. Injuries to parts of my arms make it difficult to play guitar but since I've always loved piano, I decided that's what I would try. I first looked on line and found some used equipement but decided to stop in and see what Guitar Center had. Shayne was the first person I spoke to. He gave me a lot of great advice and really tried to educate me on the equipement I was looking at. He gave me all the pros and cons of each piece, he didn't try to over sell me, and he even told me how I COULD save some money finding something used on line or even on their web site. The thing I liked the most is how Shayne actually explained the pros and cons of buying used and gave me the perfect amount of information to make a very educated decision on what I ended up buying AFTER I was invited to take a day or two to do some research on my own before making any kind of purchase. I did buy new, and I did buy it from Guitar Center, and it was because of the service I received from Shayne during my two visits with him. The shop is one of my favorite places to shop but it was Shayne that captured the 5th star!

My daughter is quiet shy so I like that she can sit with me and the teachers are all so nice with her. Over the last few months she has definitely gotten more comfortable and enjoys going to class. They really do a great job making the environment fun for both parents and kids. They do incorporate a little of sign language and teach kids more than just music. Also, for a stay at home mom like me it's nice to meet other moms (sometimes dads) and their kiddos. Def recommend Musicology. I believe they have a one class trial too.

The teachers are absolutely phenomenal with all the children and definitely bring you into the musicology family and love and celebrate your little one along side you. I have a very small "village" and am so grateful to have my musicology community supporting my parenthood journey! I've learned so much about children, music, and parenting in my weekly classes. With a medically complex child it has been hard finding places I feel safe bringing my daughter to. Musicology is one of the few places I feel completely confident bringing my kiddo. Their sick policy leaves no room for interpretation and we really appreciate the ease of scheduling and flexibility of makeup classes-- encouraging all the families to keep each other safe! While I was in town visiting my son, he mentioned that there was a music store not far from us that he'd like to visit. I wasn't prepared for the size of this place-it's far more than just a "music store." He had a gleeful look of awe as he admired the selection of brass instruments and was able to play a few of them too. He'll be ready to make a purchase soon, so he wants to know for sure which one is just right. If you don't quite know what you're looking for, or need some elevated service, you might find someone, you might not. It's a more laid-back approach to customer service-we had to seek someone out for help. But I suppose I prefer that over an in-your-face sales person trying to close a deal.
