Good local place. Seems like a family owned joint and very friendly. Simple, no frills but a good place to hit for a quick simple meal. The fish fry was very good. We had bluegill and walleye. Food came out super fast. The walleye was 2 big, thick pieces and the blue gill had a good flavor. Prices were excellent! Give it a shot and you'll be happy. read more

I am big on the food I really love eating but man I went there and ordered a Pepsi which came in a small jar with more ice than liquid which was 3.50 with no free refills. other people had big plastic Pepsi cups for the same price. don't get me started on the food, I ordered chicken fingers and fries and have never had such greasy food. the fries would squeeze grease out of them as well as the chicken. 1/10 i would not go there again. read more

First visit here & loved it! The fall colors were just gorgeous on our drive out from Minocqua and we arrived to a cozy northwoods bar & restaurant with about 8 tables. The place was bustling but we got a seat at the bar and enjoyed drinks and dinner and loved watching the all the food being prepared by one person on a flat top grill & fryer right in front of us. We loved the cod & shrimp fish fry, homemade potato salad, & rye bread and will be back to try the sandwiches next visit! read more

One of the most cliche sayings that I stay away from is "it is what it is." For this purpose, this saying fits to the T! Musky Jacks is a little road shack right off of round lake in the North Woods of Wisconsin. I had to struggle a bit to forego my usual tuxedo and suit and tie attire, but then again, I do enjoy roughing it. Musky Jacks is an awesome little watering hole on the way to wherever it is you are going in the boonies of the north woods. The drinks are cheap, they have a classic diner style menu, and you can even get a t-shirt that is offensive to vegetarians. What more could you ask for? read more

I'd give it 5 stars but it's realty a road house that serves burgers and the like. The Burgers are awesome. Dave, who runs the place, has banned cell phones. Don't test him on this. He's major part of the charm but would hate being thought of in that way. read more

Here on a Thursday night, special was a turkey burger with bacon and cheese, AND onion rings for only $5.00, excellent, can't beat it! They have a braided pretzel appetizer that looks amazing, got to try that next time. read more

So my boyfriend and I decided to go to dinner while we were staying up north. We decided upon Musky Jack's because they had phenomenal ratings on Yelp and Google. So we walk in and everyone stares at us. (Which is to be expected because I have bright blonde hair and look like Malibu Barbie.) So we take a seat at the bar, we are the youngest people here. Unfortunately we arrived after 9pm, so their grill was closed. We settle on ordering a pizza since that was the only option given. Look, this review isn't about the food since we were unable to actually experience the taste stemming from the reviews we read about Musky Jack's. The bartender was nice and attentive, the customers and atmosphere made us feel at home. Our pizza arrives and we douse it with parmesan, the only right way to eat a pizza. All is good, I'm on my third beer. All of a sudden... MOSQUITOS EVERYWHERE. Jesus Christ they swarmed all of us. Non-stop skin crawling blood suckers, couldn't even finish the pizza in peace. All of the customers at the bar start to clear out until we are one of the few left for the mosquitos to feed on. Listen, I'm not very hard of a woman to please. To easily compensate the 20+ bites I received tonight, I, as well as the rest of the patrons would have accepted a free round of shots to numb the pain and irritation of constant mosquito bites. That was not offered. We finish the pizza and receive our check. We are pleasantly surprised. The pizza, (11$ and over priced) was not what we came in for, but we will be back to try dinner another time before 9pm so we can actually give a fair shot at a review. read more

Been going to this bar for 20+ years and the service has never been worse. The owners are great people but their staff is slow, rude and it seems like they could care less about their customers. The bartender was awful on 2-3 separate occasions. They close at 2pm on sundays and that includes Packer games. This year while the Vikings and Packers were going into overtime the bartender asked me to stand up and get out of my seat because "I'd like to get home at some point today ya know!". Extremely rude, awful awful service. Pizza was burnt(bad) and the tomato on my burger was rotten. Little piece of advice, skip this place and go right down the road to the next place. You'll be very glad you did. read more

We had classic, excellent bar burgers and fries for lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Wifi available. Was able to catch up on my email while enjoying a great meal. The bartender was very friendly as well. A great experience! read more
