Greek chicken wrap with tater tots (~$11)

Awkward and fun location! The food menu is super extensive that it's overwhelming. It seems like their thing is that they save breakfast all day. No one was in the diner on a weekend dinner time other than a Ford employee. It's as if everyone knows who walks thru the side door is there for the diner. Felt awkward at first, but it feels just like any other diner when you go in the restaurant. The food quality was hot and fresh but nothing to write home about. It seems their food quality is reliable that you'll get what you ordered. It tasted exactly what I thought it would. The menu is priced fairly in my opinion and you can have a very full meal under $12 per person.

It's a restaurant inside of a car dealership. 17 bucks for a very mediocre lukewarm plate that's also served on a plastic plate. Food wasn't anything special, you order at the counter and grab all your own condiments so there isn't really a service aspect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute spot I'll give it that but not really somewhere I'd venture back to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Well we aren't Ford fans but we ARE the newest fans of Mustang Charlie's! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and friendly, huge menu with breakfast anytime.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area could use a mural or some plants (or both) to make things look a little less medical[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but the food was good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Glad we finally gave it a shot; the location is unique but totally a nice and casual spot for a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. And then you can walk it off in the big shiny showroom, lol. BLT with an egg added, quite excellent, onion rings were a bit oily and could use some seasoning but I enjoyed their size and texture a lot. Patty melt on rye had great flavor with fries that were nice and crispy!

A diner, inside of a Ford dealership, yep! And, it's actually really good. It's in the back of the showroom which is huge! I went there yesterday as part of a car club meetup (Heart of Carolina Mustangs). The group meets there occasionally for breakfast but this was my first time here. The place was busy already at 9:00am and the group I was with added to that. However, the food orders came out quick. I went with the mushroom, spinach and feta omelette with a side of bacon and home fries. It was really good and everything was cooked to order. The prices here are reasonable ($10-$15) and there are free coffee refills. Oh, no purchase of a new car necessary to visit the diner. It's open to the public.

Busy Saturday morning at Mustang Charlie's in Apex.

Met a friend here for breakfast this morning. Traffic in the restaurant remained steady and the service was fast. The staff was super friendly and they did a good job making sure the restaurant stayed clean. I got the ham trash plate and it was just okay, but I wouldn't order it again. I wasn't a fan of the mustard they put on top of the eggs and everything tasted super salty. I'd go back and try something else from the menu. Overall, I'd rate my experience as 3/5 because of the food.

    Nice breakfast!

We wanted to try something new And different and remembered reading about Mustang Charlie's. What's unusual about it is it's in the Crossroads Ford dealership in Apex. They're not associated with them, but that's where their location is. They also have a food truck called Trash Talk. We were there for breakfast and my spouse got eggs, bacon, and potatoes with toast. She enjoyed the eggs and bacon, but the potatoes were extremely salty so next time she'll ask for no salt. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on rye that was very good and it had two eggs on it. I also got a pancake that we shared that was very good and crispy on the edges. The food is served on disposable plates with cutlery and cups of the same. I don't know if they do free refills on the coffee cos we only drank one cup. They have a self serve station for creamer, condiments, pancake syrup, etc. For people from Rochester they have a garbage plate, which I'd never heard of. I posted a picture of what it is for others unfamiliar with it. Definitely unusual as regional foods sometimes are. The staff is friendly and the food is all cooked to order in a timely manner. We'll come back and try more selections off the menu. Maybe the fried haddock, which is hard to find here.

If you've ever been to Western NY and had a garbage plate, then you know how this mess of a plate is somehow the perfect mixture of oh so bad, yet oh so good food. Mustang Charlie's is very hidden - like so hidden you need to go inside a car dealership in order to get to the restaurant. However, it is a great little spot for a casual bite to eat.

They have Zwigles White Hots. I get two with fries and a drink. They have a trash plate both breakfast and lunch versions.

Nice selection of menu items, and breakfast items are available all day. Unfortunately, these are offset by impressions of the food after two visits. Just not up to snuff. On the first visit, the Chicago dog was sub-par, but that was my partner's order and I don't remember the details. I just remember she said she wouldn't order it again. On today's visit, I ordered a meatball parm sandwich. It was cloyingly sweet - both the meatballs and the tomato sauce were unappetizing, and I could only manage to stand eating a bit of it. My partner ordered a side of corned beef hash. It turned up in a little paper tray with some dry shredded corned beef sprinkled on top of some home fry potatoes - just basic cubed potatoes and some beef shreds on top. That's it. It didn't feel like any corned beef hash we had ever seen. And we paid extra for a fried egg that didn't make it onto the dish. Of course when we pointed this out, it was quickly cooked up separately and brought to the table, so no problems again with the service or resolving the issue. Also be warned that Thursday nights from 6-8pm they run a music trivia game that blasts music loudly throughout the large dining space, completely surrounded by reflective surfaces. It was so loud and obnoxious that it made conversation impossible and drove us outside. I wish I could report a better experience. We need more quality delis around here!

The Chicken & Waffles was my favorite! The chicken was nice and crispy and the waffle was a sweet corn waffle. It came with these little morsels of grilled peaches and I wish there had been more of them because I could've eaten a whole bowl of them. The Peck and Plume Bowl was my least favorite dish but that's only because it was VERY tart and I wasn't expecting that. It has passion fruit, banana, blueberries, yogurt, granola, coconut flakes, and bee pollen. We also got the Eggs Benedict which came with country ham and wilted spinach on top. The ham was a bit salty but the breakfast potatoes on the side were great and the eggs were cooked perfectly jammy.

He was willing to answer questions but seemed a little weeded. Perhaps he's new. Still her was personable and kind. The drinks, a Dirty Martini and Hibiscus Tonic were fantastic. I'm on a quest to find the best Dirty Martini in the area and this is in contention. I ordered the burger and my husband got the shrimp and grits. We'd say they were "fine". Neither the meat nor shrimp were seasoned. That said they were cooked well. The grits were well done and the relish was on target. The fries were also fantastic. Overall, it was a good experience sitting on the beautiful patio with music coming into the space from the park. With a few tweaks this could get a better rating.

Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.
