Not sure why they don't have a 5 rating!! Their seating can be limited during their lunch rush, but they try to accommodate all guest, including take out diners. Service is quick, friendly, and attentative! Their portion sizes are huge and you will not leave with a hungry belly. We are so glad that we are within a five minute drive of our new favorite brunch place. We will be back almost weekly, now that we work from home.

Went by tonight and doors are locked and lights off. Hours posted on the door and on Yelp say they are open. No sign posted on door for any issue. Second time it's happened. Recommend calling before you drive over

They said this was link sausage. This is patty sausage, formed into some oblong shape.

This review is the result of several bad visits since they reopened after the COVID shutdown. Grill 46 used to seem like a great place. Now, it's clear that their political leanings are influencing their customer service. They cook and handle people's food with no masks, even though we are still under a mask mandate. And when they make a mistake, they don't even bother to offer to make it right, if you aren't white. I spent 2 minutes in the phone trying to make sure they understood that I wanted link sausage, not the little links. I even said "red sausage link; that you use in your breakfast sandwiches" and the included pic is what they gave me. When I called back to tell them they had given me the wrong kind of sausage (in a breakfast of eggs, grits sausage and toast that cost me $10), I was told "You should have asked for a red hot; that has nothing to do with sausage." Well what the heck is a red hot if it's not a sausage link 'cause it darn sure ain't bacon! They've gotten my money for the last time and I'll make sure that every teacher I know up the road from them (which provides a lot of business) knows how terrible their service has become.

The food was pretty good, service was okay, and I would come back with friends to eat.

As much as I like to support local businesses. This one I'm pretty disappointed. I don't mind paying $10 for a sub alone but not this. Too salty and not enough on it to cost that much.

Eggs, bacon, hash browns, & toast.

Cute little local joint where the staff knows most of the customers located in the Food Lion strip mall. Even though we were first time visitors, we were given a warm welcome. The food is inexpensive diner style and comes out quickly, so they must have a good short order cook. We had a twofer from AARP, so it was even cheaper. Nice. I had a couple of hot dogs (the red kind) with onions, chili and slaw that was pretty darn good. The chili and slaw was homemade and tasty. There's lots of sides to choose from and I got the housemade chips which were crisp and not overfried. My dining partner had a typical two egg breakfast with bacon and hash browns. She thought is was just okay especially since the hash browns were kind of mushy, not crispy. We'll come back again, coupon in hand, and give it another try.

We both had a classic burger (him with no pickles, me with no special sauce), shared an order of fries, he had an IPA and I got a blackberry mojito for about $40. The employees were friendly and helpful. And I feel like everything was priced well and appropriately. The not so good: The meat was just meh and the onions were straight up burnt. Not caramelized, burnt. Overall, the burger was decent, just not great like we were hoping. We sat at our table for quite some time and had a few drinks. It was busy but never too crowded. I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!

For the main, I ordered the standard burger despite several limited-edition options being available (ask about the Hamilton theme!). It was cooked precisely to my specified medium, with a flavorful patty and nice structural integrity throughout. The tater tots were basically as good as they come. We paired the meal with IPAs - Dancing with the Bulls and Bull in a Bottle Shop - both of which held up well against the richness of the food and worked particularly well with the burger. I finished the meal off with the amaretto which provided a balanced finish and was reminiscent of my usual espresso martini without being overly boozy or heavy. Service was friendly and professional as always, and the atmosphere remains a strong point: upscale casual without feeling forced. I think there's a sports ball thing going on somewhere, too. One person ahead of me and I gave the nice lady my order. I had high hopes, but there is reason why fries made from fresh potatoes aren't widely offered at restaurants and it's mostly bc they have so much water content and easily come out soggy. And these came out exactly that way - soggy and limp. The chicken sandwich I ordered was a special, limited time offering, and it was also ok. It was advertised as having a slaw on top and that's a strong word for what was served. When I think slaw, I think robust, crunchy veggies with some vinegar bite and while I got a bit of that, it wasn't enough to balance out the fried, savoriness of the breaded chicken patty and bbq sauce. Service was friendly, but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. I was eating alone at the bar, and I'm usually accustomed to more touch points than I got here, but it wasn't bad.
