Mutz & Kutz Grooming has great groomers who are professional and clearly care about dogs. I've always been happy with the quality of their work, and the staff truly deserve appreciation and good tips. However, over the past year I've experienced repeated price increases for grooming two dogs under 20 pounds, totaling about $250 including tips. Each increase came with a different explanation--inflation, weekend pricing, or being busy--which felt excessive. At this point, it feels less about rising costs and more about the owner being greedy with pricing. This is disappointing because the groomers themselves do excellent work, but the constant increases have made it unaffordable for me. I can find other groomers who charge around $180 including tips on a Saturday. So long, good people of Mutz & Kutz. read more

If there was a zero I'd give that! After calling 3 different times and couldn't get my dog in because of my husband's schedule with his chemotherapy, I take my dog in today. I was told every time I called the charge would be $45-65 dollars. Upon arrival today to pick my dog up, I'm told $95!!!!! I said I cannot pay that and I would've never brought her in if I'd been quoted that amount. My Cavalier is taken extremely good care of! I explained to the groomer that I wanted her feather's trimmed 1/2 inch on her legs and skirt. That is all! I pay and then they bring her out and ALL OF HER FEATHERING IS CUT OFF, her ears are cut!!! I specifically said nothing off her ears, chest or tail! She looks awful and a has been cut all over!!! The girl behind the counter with glasses and long dark hair is rude above rude!!! I told them I got my dog groomed cheaper in Orange County County California where we just moved back from to be with family due to my husband's terminal cancer diagnosis. She was rude once again in her attitude and demeanor with me. God Bless people who take advantage of people and don't do what they say they will in reference to my quotes. She had the audacity to tell me their quotes are made note of-right?! I'm sure you take the time to write every person that calls name and phone number and a running list of quotes of that said person. I informed her of my age and that I've never been a liar and didn't need to start lying today. Yes, her hair will grow back in about 4/6 months but it's the principle of the matter. read more

Really great locally owned dog groomer in Georgetown. They are fast, attentive and friendly. Their prices are also super affordable, honestly the most competitive I have seen. I have two very temperamental chihuahuas who do not like their nails cut - and another chihuahua that impatiently tolerates it - and the groomer did a great job navigating through all their personalities. They even rewarded my girl Luna with a bandana for being such a good girl while her nails got trimmed! It is the cutest bandana - we still have it as well so we can use in the future! I also got their teeth brushed. The groomer uses an enzyme based tooth paste formula which helps distribute the paste throughout your pets mouth even if a spot was not brushed or missed so I liked that! Do make note - if you don't pay by cash their is a 3% credit card fee. This is the only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 - it's a little inconvenient as I don't really carry cash on me. read more

We just had Robert who is one of the mobile service groomers from Mutz & Kutz come and groom our 3 dogs including our Shih Tzu who has a pretty technical and complicated cut. He did an absolutely fabulous job and most importantly, our dogs very obviously felt safe with him. They were happy after their cut, not scared and shivering. Being right before the holidays, I wanted to make sure I was able to get my pup in for a nail trim. I typically go to PetSmart to do that since it is walkins, but went in to PetSmart and they were closed early due to short staff. They got their teeth brushed, bath, brush, nail grind, and ears cleaned. Price is very reasonable. Don't forget though it's important to tip your groomer. They work hard. I have been going to them for years I have a small poodle but they cut the hair pretty good for the most part. Their new locations terrible though there is no parking and that part of town sucks in general. Move back to the old part of town with the non reptilian residents. Over all they do a good job on a small poodle prices reasonable people have always been friendly and pretty easy to make an appointment. However you did mess hair up pretty badly one time I think you were letting the noob practice on her Instead of a toy poodle she come out looking like a baby labador, so you only get 4 stars not 5 today. read more

Just moved to the Georgetown area and was happy to find this groomer so close to home, upon arrival I liked the place and the groomer seemed very nice. I thought I explained what I wanted for my mini schnauzer, however I was told afterwards that there may have been a miscommunication between myself & the groomer. My mini schnauzer no longer looked like a schnauzer. I was extremely upset and it has taken me over a week to write this review. Needless to say I most likely will look for a new groomer because I will not return. My beautiful mini schnauzer had her skirt & fluffy leg areas shaved off completely. I gave the groomer a tip of $20 before I even saw her.. if I had I wouldn't have left a tip at all. My bad.. will never do that again. I know her hair will grow back.. but I have taken great pride in how pretty she always looked after a grooming and she looked nothing like a schnauzer which was so upsetting. I picked this place for the close proximity and because I saw great reviews. If anyone has a schnauzer and wants to take their baby to this place.. beware on how you explain what you want done. Explain in detail you want a mini schnauzer cut.. I mean really! The total cost of this fiasco with the $20 tip (regretfully) was $136!!! I mean I could've shaved all her hair off myself for $0. I still love my baby.. but will now have to wait months until she will actually look like a schnauzer again. :( read more

My dog's nails were LONG (a rescue and neglected). They cut them and FILED them. The vet never did that and he charged more. Even my dog was happy. He lifted his paw for them to shake.
