MVMT Worx is ALWAYS a GREAT choice especially when it comes to massages. Alejandra did my massage on December 16th and it was AMAZING!! I was going to MVMT Worx prepandemic and I am like are they open again? But they are and the quality of the massage did not decline. MVMT Worx utilize the students from SOCHI so they want to be a massage therapist and I want to be their client that they work on. PLUS it is a GREAT cost. I probably shouldnt even tell you guys because I need the price to be the price and I need my appointments to be there when I need it lol. Jessica is the real deal. My back is terrible, extremely stiff. I've been to about 7-8 massage therapists in the area, trying them out, hoping to get someone who can work on my back, and they've all failed pretty miserably. I walked out of this place a new woman!---with immediately improved posture (seriously, that was impressive for a couple of hours), relieved back tension and a wealth of knowledge about exercises that were customized JUST for me based on my assessment. I've never felt so empowered about my ability to improve my own weaknesses. I HIGHLY recommend this team of professionals to anyone with any interest in improving their athleticism, preventing injuries, or just getting a better understanding of their personal mobility strengths/deficits. First off, let me tell you. I did not know what I was getting into. I knew I had signed up for a 3 step process (massage, chiropractic care, then corrective exercise) to improve mobility/movement. Those words alone do not express the intensity of the session! Following my assessment, where the team really listens and then conducts their diagnostic work by watching you walk and what not- the massage therapist, Igor, went right into one of the most life altering massages I've had. He found and broke up knots I didn't even know were present in my back and he was relentless about it. I appreciated that he didn't shy away from the tense areas because I knew it was good for me- but oh lord- I was sweating. Definitely deep tissue status here. He was a good sport and answered my questions about my problem areas were and even explained to me some of their connecting points. Following that, Igor tag teams the chiropractor, Dr. Jess. Prior to her doing any work on me, they engage in discussion where Igor describes my tight spots to her and I can see Dr. Jess' gears turning as she's using this information to format how she'll work with me. The session with Dr. Jess gives me all the wonderful relieving cracks that come with a chiropractic session- the neck is my personal favorite. And then she brings out these interesting hand held tools to work on my problem spots. One, she described as "acupuncture tool without the needles". It felt like a very mild pinch and was a cool addition I've never seen with other chiropractors I've visited. She seems to keep on top of her research about more recent methodologies to treat pain which is pretty impressive to me. By the end of the chiropractic session, my body felt wrecked- like in a good way. And then I still had one more to go ---Jimmy with corrective exercises. Dr. Jess then discusses what might be good areas of focus for me with Jimmy and it's clear that Jimmy and Igor ( massage therapist) had spoken during my chiro. session. I have to say, this made me feel like I was really being taken care of and thought about as an individual as opposed to an establishment where, based on complaints, you are automatically assigned some perfunctory list of things to do without further consideration. This was a huge plus in my opinion for my experience with MVMT Worx. So back to my corrective exercises...Jimmy greets me with a very pleasant and calm demeanor which was much appreciated because my body felt a little bit dead by that point. His very tranquil and kind manner of speaking made it easier to transition into the exercises which were deceptively difficult. When I say difficult-it's not because they're extreme in volume/speed or anything of the sort. Rather, he clearly demonstrates and explains these slow and controlled movements that feel difficult because that's his sneaky way of targeting your areas of deficits. Following demonstration/explanation, we go through the movements together and gradually my energy was revived from the success I felt in seeing my squat go from this wonky vertical movement to an almost effortless glide. I really appreciated his patience because even though my brain understood what he was asking of me, my body took a little bit longer to get the actual message. At the end of it all, the whole team [again, it feels so cool to have a "team" that legitimately is just looking out for my physical well-being.....clearly my family has some work to do ;) ] comes together which gives me a chance to thank them all and then I take my "after" posture picture. In the time I'm there- there's an actual improvement which is pretty awesome. Additionally, just a couple days after my appointment, I'm sent a video of Jimmy going through my customized corrective exercise plan so that I can practice at home. The level of care/customization here just goes above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things about the Mvmt Worx team as I was so happy with the thorough treatment plan and expertise of every one of its members. When I first met Jessica I was in so much pain that I could barely stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I could barely walk, my muscles were atrophied because of all the pain I was enduring. And I was taking 3000mg of Tylenol, 2400mg of Ibuprofen and max dosage of lyrica and tramadol. I never expected acupuncture to work. I thought it was going to be a waste of my time. But after the first session with Jessica where she gave me an adjustment and treated me with acupuncture I was just amazed that I was in less pain than I had been in years. The next day I was basically pain free. Jessica has been working on me for 8 months. My condition was really serious. I went to 15 different specialists trying to find the cause, but besides a herniated disc and some nerve impingement they couldn't figure out what was going on with me. Since I've met Jessica I went from being in bed for 16 hours a day to only being in bed when I go to sleep. I wake up pain free and when I do have pain its so rare that I feel like I completely forgot what pain was. She's honestly an amazing provider. I couldn't recommend her more and it's a shame more people haven't left this wonder worker more reviews. I don't review often, but recently I started getting ready to open my own business and I asked Jessica about yelp. When I saw she only had 7 reviews I knew I had to tell my story.
