Last week a customer test drove our 2004 Ford F250 and fell in love. She's a hard-working single parent who qualifies to purchase the vehicle. We sent her information to Equitable Finance located on Curtis and Fairview Avenue here in Boise. It took an incredible 5 days to get an answer from this company . . . 5 days! I was told yesterday at 4 pm that we had an approval but that "Joe" required until this morning to fax the approval deal sheet because they closed at 5:30 and they were extremely busy as "the floodgates were opened" as Joe put it. I said, "not a problem, I'll advise the customer." Today, Joe calls my office at 10:30 stating once again we have an "approval" then immediately states that he jumped the gun a bit and is still waiting for an email which should be arriving within 10 minutes and that Joe would like to call me back in 20 minutes. Of course I agreed and the waiting game began. After waiting for 90 minutes, I asked my boss the owner of the car lot to call Equitable Finance only to learn that not only did they reject the customer but Joe also told my employer that I was lying and that they never use the word approval! Joe, if you can read . . . keep going. Our customer was mistreated shamefully by you and your superiors. Our customer has been told of her rights and how to proceed with you and your type. You're a professional at being unprofessional and karma will certainly visit you very soon . . . and more than once. As an industry "insider" please take my advice and never, ever use Equitable Financial.

This gave the dealership the opportunity to clear the severe P0741 transmission fault code to fraudulently secure a loan from Mountain America Credit Union. Confirmed Pre-Existing Damage: The Check Engine Light (CEL) re-illuminated immediately. Certified inspection at Peterson Chevrolet confirmed $13,848.02 in severe, pre-existing transmission and catalytic converter failure. Warranty Proof: The extended warranty administrator denied the claim and the $205 diagnostic fee, citing the damage as "pre-existing," confirming the truck was sold broken. Symptoms of Failure: The vehicle was operating at nearly half efficiency, achieving only 300 miles per tank, proving the severity of the concealed defect at the time of sale. Owner Bad Faith: When confronted with this evidence, the owner became defensive, abruptly ended the call, and made an unsubstantiated threat of slander over our planned public review. As a direct result of this fraudulent concealment, we are now suffering $310+ in financial losses every single day (including lost income and rental fees). We have filed formal complaints with the Idaho Attorney General and the ITD Dealer Board and initiated legal action under the Idaho Consumer Protection Act. Buyers should be extremely cautious of the fraudulent and bad-faith practices at Boise Motorz.

It's not like Navy Federal where they have customer service all hours of the day - but if you're trying to avoid a large bank like NFCU, Pioneer is the way to go. We have had multiple auto loans with them and they have always been easy to work with! Customer service is also solid! As long as you can look past the hours, Pioneer FCU is a solid bank!

I ordered a "one of a kind" item last week online from Australia. Immediately after placing the order, I called PFCU (last Thursday) to alert them of the order so that they'd be sure to approve it. They took all the notes, and then... the next day (Friday) when it came through, they denied it. So I spent a couple hours of my time today on the phone with PFCU and the vendor in Australia, and he agreed to re-run it... and PFCU assured me that they would not deny it. The PFCU rep even said, "we have notes in the file so it won't be denied", to which I replied, "y'all had notes in the file last week, yet it was denied" - and then, as already stated, it was again denied. I'm still trying to get the item, but am feeling like PFCU is seemingly working against me! Three side-notes: On it being a "one of a kind", allow me to explain. I'm a rare book collector, and there's one particular book, published in 1890 (only a few were printed) that I've searched for for 2-3 years, and in the last 3 months I've increased my efforts significantly to the tune of 3x per week, via dozens of specialty and collector websites. And then, miraculously, one became available in a hole-in-the-wall bookshop in Australia. It's no exaggeration to say that this is the only copy of this book for sale in the entire globe! 2nd side note: the reason I knew to call PFCU and over-share with them as I did was because this has happened to me before (about 2 years ago... but, while that purchase was important, it wasn't a "one of a kind" like this one. But the point is, how bad are their processes that this should happen multiple times?! 3rd side note: Australia is 16 hours ahead of us here in Idaho, and this particular vendor only works part time, so catching him during his few work hours is an additional obstacle I've been having to deal with. Stopped in today to grab some blank checks for my husband's direct deposit. Was in and out so fast. I really wish I remembered the gentleman's name that helped me today. This wasn't my first encounter with him. He's always been great! I'm sure I'll be on again soon and will have to remember his name. As I was leaving, I always get side tracked by all the cutie bear banks. I appreciate that they accessorize them with little hats. It makes me want to open up a kid's account so I can have one for my change. Someday one will be mine! Until then I'll just admire them when I'm there.
