Within a day of buying, we found a tracking device in the car, multiple warning lights came on. We have already put $5K in to the car. I get it. Used car. Purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer from them a couple months ago. Not even a week later I heard a clicking noise that my dad and I assumed to be coming from a tire. Turned out it was actually a quarter sized hole in the Transfer Case, entire unit had to be replaced ended up spending just under $5,000 to get it repaired at Ford, after taking it to two private mechanics and Lithia Ford who stated (which we have documented) that it appeared was attempted to be concealed with some sort of putty, that had melted from the heat of the transmission and was making the clicking. Thank god we got it checked when we did because if we had left it much longer we could have had to replace the entire transmission. To this day I continue to have issues with this vehicle. They knowingly sell unreliable vehicles to vulnerable people (myself included, pregnant, just suffered a pretty bad accident that totaled my vehicle). And they knew all of this. Whew, This was an interesting one. I am a 19 year old professional racer and extensive car enthusiast. I flew in from Montana to look at a Mini Cooper that my sister wanted to buy. I coordinated being picked up from the airport and the dealership, "got busy" making me get an uber. When I arrived to the lot I met Quinn! Very nice and talkative. Instantly started showing me the car. As we got through all of the features I looked into the car more deeply solo. The wheels were in horrible curb rash condition and there were multiple paint chips, but to be fair that is normal with a used car. Moving on, I go for a test drive with the vehicle. Instantly, I knew that the alignment was in shambles. The wheel was extremely choppy, almost to the point of being unsafe due to unpredictability. As I continue the drive, I end up pulling into a parking lot to check the engine, exhaust, and other critical components. Instantly I noticed that the engine was ticking at a fast and loud rate. This can be normal with some Mini Coopers but it was loud enough to where I could hear it through the hood. When I applied small amounts of rpm's to the engine, the ticking sound grew faster and louder instantly giving me a red flag. This could be because of bad injectors, bad oil (or no oil), or bad engine condition. I was planning to drive this car back home 7 hours and I suspect with my knowledge that I might've had some troubles making it all the way back. When I got back to the lot after a short 10 minute drive, the owner Lee greeted me asking me how it drove. I instantly said I didn't like it at all and started listing what was critically wrong with the car. We'll start of with the alignment. When I mentioned the alignment was off, Lee said that he forgot that he needed to bring that car in and that he could get it done for me. Though, I really thought the car should be ready to drive off the lot when you buy it.. Not to go have to get a service done first thing. Makes no sense. Then when I talked about the loud noise coming from the engine bay, Lee insisted that it was normal in Mini Coopers. While this is true, the sound was getting louder and faster and was way louder than it should've been. Lee insisted we went to another mini cooper to prove to me that I was going crazy. When he turned on the car the ticking sound was faint and couldn't be heard with the hood closed, and when revs were applied the sound didn't get louder or faster instantly proving my point. Lee acted dumb saying they sounded the same. I am military and I got my ears checked last month so I'm pretty sure I can hear just fine. When he closed the hood on this second Mini Cooper the trim around the headlight straight up fell off onto the ground, he hastily picked it up to attach it back on acting like a piece didn't just fall off his car. Moving on, when I first met Lee, I instantly felt a rude attitude. Almost as if he thought this would be an easy scandal since I was some kid that knows nothing about cars. Hah, cars are basically my life. This guy is really trying to sell me a car that has at least 2 thousand dollars worth of problems before even driving off the lot. When I said I don't want to buy the car, Lee stood talking with me for over 5 minutes giving me incentives to buy it. No professionalism at all. Lee said, "but I will give you a longer warranty" as if it justifies not even having an alignment. They wanted me to pay $9,500 for mini cooper that was in a accident and drives like crap. Sounds like a scam to me. I didn't look at the website until I landed from my flight in Boise and got off the plane. Horrible, but unfortunately, predictable experience. I should have read the reviews before I bought here because my experience was the same as all the other bad reviews. Purchased a 2012 Audi Q5 at what would be a reasonable price if it was in good condition, but within 4 months of ownership I had the following issues: One of the rear headrests was, and I cannot make this up, broken off and just setting on the top of the seat like everything was okay. $80 to replace from eBay. Took the car through a car wash within a week of bringing it home and the windshield leaked inside the car. $400 to replace because of the rain sensing wipers. The thermostat needed replacing. $1200 to replace. Now the water pump needs to be replaced. $2200 quote. My $14,000 reasonably priced car has cost me nearly $4,000 more in the first 4 months. Lee does not take young buyers seriously and tried taking advantage of my situation. I visited his lot with my boyfriend and he was very nice to us, let us test drive his cars and set up the process to buy one of his cars. Then the following day I brought my dad with me so he could make sure I wasn't getting scammed and Lee's attitude completely changed. He was very hostile towards my dad and barely talked to us. He mainly had his receptionist talk to us. After test driving the car with my dad, he realized it needed an alignment done and new tires. After talking with lee he told us he would fix the tires himself and would not let my dad take it to his tire shop or work the tires into the price of sale. Obviously that's very sketchy and we did not buy the car thank god. I would also like to add that he responded to my comment and others on google review by gaslighting and nitpicking as his only form of argument. She drove off the lot and within 30 minutes the car started having issues and we took it to a mechanic and they inspected it saying the whole engine is bad and for the car to be drivable it would need a new engine. We tried talking to the owner and sales rep and they were so rude telling us there is nothing they will do. So we filed a police report against them and an officer went with us to talk to them and before we could even say anything they said we signed an as is paper and to leave there property. Great customer service, I flew in from LA and drove 840 miles home with a great SUV! I can't say enough good things about Lee and Luis at Boise Motorz throughout my whole car buying experience, very helpful. After several week's of searching nationwide online for a specific model/color Range Rover with solid service records I found the one I wanted at Boise Motorz and paid a big deposit to hold it pending a pre-purchase inspection. Lee helped me with a great lender, America First Credit Union, and helped get the car over to the pre-purchase inspection I lined up at an independent Land Rover shop. When I flew in to Boise Lee even gave me a loaner car to get to the pre-inspection. Lee immediately had a bushing repaired with a genuine Land Rover dealer part, and paid big-o tires for an all wheel alignment - I was good to go for my long trip home! The next weekend I took my family skiing and we hit a huge snowstorm, the truck ran perfectly, everything works! ...and now I have 2500+ miles on it. I live in deer lodge, MT and was looking for a Range Rover. I had found one with Boise Motorz and made a deal with Lee the owner on the 2006 Range Rover HSE for 8000 dollars. I even took out the loan for the car all I was waiting on was a day off to go sign the paperwork and pick up the vehicle. My day off came up and I went to go pick up the vehicle. By the time I got there after an 8 hour drive one way he had sold the vehicle to someone else. So I waited for Lee the owner to show up to see why. When he got there he started to get rude with me and told me that it was my fault that I should have put a down payment on it. I told him that he never said I had to put a down payment on it and he told me that I was lying because he tells everyone that. I then said I had a loan out that the vehicle was paid for in full. He still said that it was my fault because I didn't put a down payment on it. Then tried to sell me another Range Rover that was in worse condition than the last for 10000 and said he couldn't move on the price. I looked online and found a better Range Rover at another car lot. So I took my Business elsewhere because I didn't appreciate how he treated me as a customer. I then had to spend 6 extra hours in Boise trying to get the whole loan situation straightened out with the bank so that I didn't do a 16 hour round trip to Boise from deer lodge, because they royally screwed me over.
