Went to this dealership to pick out a vehicle that was reliable and safe for my family. I test drive my vehicle and it drove amazing and everything seemed great.... till it wasn't not even 24 hrs after getting the car the back middle seatbelt had plastic on it so we took it off and they were trying to cover a almost completely cut seatbelt. Then next the check engine light came on, mass air flow sensor. Reached out to them to see if they would fix it. Mind you the way these men spoke to me as a female was absolutely horrible. I was extremely uncomfortable. Then left me without a vehicle stranded in boise for almost 6 hours with 2 children while they "fixed" the seat belt and checked the check engine light. Then when I went to pick it up nobody even spoke to me or told me what they did or were going to do about the other issue. They didnt even put my back seats back together and I had to try and figure that out while wrestling 2 kids. They never reached back out. Now only 2 months after getting the vehicle and having it ran through by mechanics there seems to be way more that was wrong with it that is going to cost me thousands more dollars to fix. I dont understand why people wont just do the right thing and take care of the situation. Clearly these little boys do not know how to do business or treat a woman. Sold me a 2012 Ram 2500 hemi, it ran well for 180k miles on it, but it became very clear in a short amount of time that they don't change the oil, or check fluids. Changed the oil and it was alllll water and coolant from 2 blown head gaskets and some sort of "stop leak" crap. they were not willing to do anything for me as the new engine was going to cost $12k with labor. here's the breakdown paid $19k traded a perfect running ram 1500 owned outright for $6100( they get to keep the profits on this) money down and $5500 for a brand new engine(luckily I am car junkie and have the know-how to do all of this) DON'T BUY FROM INSTANT EQUITY!!!!!! THEY DON'T CHECK THE VEHICLES, NO OIL CHANGES, DIDN'T EVEN VACCUUM IT OUT, STILL HAD WRAPPERS AND TRASH FROM PREVIOUS OWNER. read more

Bought a 2016 ram truck, the sales staff was very helpful in the purchase, after buying i found that the park brake didnt work and felt that was interesting that they would sell a vehicle at blue book missing a important safety feature, later after looking into the park brake i find its missing a spare tire as well. I called to see about getting these issues resolved and they told me its normal to buy a vehicle from them that does not have a spare tire and i would have to pay to get the park brake fixed.... i just have a hard time with them being ok with sending somebody down the road without 2 safety features and not owning up to it..... shady.... gotta make a buck i guess.... read more

I bought my Jeep at Instant Equity almost 2 years ago. They were very motivated to sell me the jeep and "help" me get financing and off the lots ASAP. When I went back a few weeks later to report a couple small problems the "warranty" they sold me just happened not to cover 80% of the issues I had. A few weeks later I got a letter saying my warranty ran out, (it was a scam with nothing to do with Instant Equity), but when I tried to get in to talk to the staff there, the front desk guy would never let me talk to the people that sold me the Jeep. When I finally did get in to talk to them, they informed me of the details of my warranty. They should have done that before I bought the Jeep. I should have also read more before trusting them to have my best interest in mind. (My fault) Next car we bought was from Larry H Miller Subaru (Peter I think) and Larry H. miller showed my wife and I What good car salesman can be like. I hope in the last 1.5 years Instant Equity has changed policy/staff. read more

I purchased a 2016 VW Jetta from Instant Equity Auto at the end of September. The purchase went smoothly and at that time everyone was friendly and nice to work with. The first time I test drove the car the salesperson told me that it was missing the cup holders in the front but not to worry they were going to install new ones. I was offered a "bumper to bumper" factory warranty from ASC warranty. I purchased the warranty and admittedly signed a contract that I was buying the car as is and there were no warranties made about the car. Once I signed the contracts and was done buying the car that is when everything changed. I got in the car and realized there were still no cup holders. I went inside and they said I should call Chris at their Meridian dealership and he would have them. 4 days later and less than 100 miles the check engine light came on. I stopped by the Meridian dealership to talk with Chris and he reset the check engine light and advised me that the cup holders had not been ordered, he did not know what part to order, and that I should contact the VW dealership to find out what the correct part was and 'maybe' they would cover it. I took my car into the VW dealership later that month and was advised that the cost to repair the check engine light would be over $700. Thinking to myself thank goodness I got that 'bumper to bumper' warranty the dealership called for authorization and I found out that the warranty did not cover emissions parts. I then called the salesperson who I purchased the car from and told him about my check engine light, and my experience with Chris. The salesperson basically called me a liar and said that Chris would never send me to the dealership and that they would see what they could do about the check engine light. I sent the VW dealership quote to the salesperson and was advised that I would be called back when the cup holders came in. I waited until early February to follow up and was advised to just call Chris. I was quickly learning that the salespeople only wanted to talk to me when they had an opportunity to make money and once, they had sold me a broken car they were uninterested in customer service. I called Chris and spoke to someone in the auto shop and was advised there was nothing they could do about the check engine light repair and made an appointment for the cup holders to be installed. Later that week I was contacted by someone from Instant Equity Auto to ask if I knew that I had a purchased a warranty. I advised him that yes, I did know this and that it did not cover emissions. He was apologetic and said that when I bring the car in, they would see what they could do. I rescheduled my appointment for March 1st and hoped for the best. I took my car in on the first and got the new cup holders installed and waited to see what would be done about the check engine light. Chris told me that because the car was a VW he did not have the parts to get to the parts that the VW dealership had said were the problem and her would be unable to help. Chris recommended taking the car to a place that specializes in European cars but not the dealership and maybe the cost of repair would be less. A salesperson then came out and stood with Chris and I said that it was pretty odd that less than 100 miles and driving the car only 3 times would result in a check engine light and it feels like they sold me a broken car. They were silent and said nothing. I said so everyone is okay with the fact that most likely you sold me a broken car? Again, I got silence. I thanked Chris for putting in the cup holder and left. When I got in my car the shifter felt weird. I went back inside and asked Chris, and he said he didn't touch the shifter. I asked him to come outside and showed him that the shifter was just moving from reverse to drive and not clicking into place. Chris said that was how it was when he got it and went inside. I moved the shifter a little more and found that I could not move it to the final gear spot at all. I again went inside to get Chris and he came out admitted it was a problem did something and fixed it. I am thankful that I was persistent, or I would have another broken part with Instant Equity Auto taking no responsibility. I would just say beware purchasing anything from the dealership read the 'bumper to bumper' warranty take the car to a reputable mechanic and hopefully don't end up with a new to you used broken car. read more

My nephew bought a vehicle from you all and he now has over $3000.00 worth of repairs that you all new about and you still sold the vehicle!!! Not only were you asked to make it right you denied that there was anything wrong with the vehicle. When the vehicle was drove off the lot, he had to be returned to you with repairs and that you would only pay half of. Also your machanic and you knew what was wrong and you still sold the vehicle. I went to instant equity auto to look at a 1991 Toyota pickup and after I was told that the money I had offered down on it was not enough I told them i would be willing to trade my 1990 celica for it. I called to tell them about the car i had and its issues and was told to bring it in and they would look at it and see if we could make a deal. When i brought it in they said they went completely back on their word and said they wouldn't even look at it and then proceeded to prove that they DO NOT communicate at all when the owner piped up and told me that they will not do in house financing. Once when a semi truck ran over my car and was totaled.
