They were absolute angels…read more Driving into Providence from South County, I realized something was dangerously off with my brakes.. I'd had past good experiences with this Monro, and they're located near cafes, in case the wait was going to be long, Not only did they have room to fit me in with only a short wait, I arrived there at 4pm and needed to have my car drivable to get to an artist-showcase by 6:30. And I also needed my car for a 4-hour road trip the next day. My entire brake system needed an urgent replacement - my car was un-drivable. The guys at this Monro fixed it all, and I got to relax at a cafe around the corner. Was it cheap? Definitely not. Would I have found less expensive service somewhere else? Maybe, but with what time?? In life, you spend money or you spend time and today, I had no time to spend. I made it to my art-event on time with my car brakes working as good as new and that's what matters. I didn't die on the highway today. I'm so grateful to Monro and I'll recommend them to anyone!

(Year 2000) However, I've brought my car here before and was told to bring it back to this location for inspection. I only have two weeks to get my car inspected after registration and I wasted most of that going back and forth with Monro. I kept going back because I was told during my oil change that they would pass my car for inspection.

From the beginning, Mark was incredibly patient, while also being super knowledgeable and putting in extra effort to order a replacement tire for the next day (vs up to a week at other shops). He and his team also went out of their way to help me get through the day (e.g. free spare tire installation). They helped make a bad day much more manageable, which was incredibly appreciated.

I would recommend the ill informed service advisor not argue with the customer with inaccurate…read moreinformation such as stating that there is not a transaxle or differential in a front wheel drive vehicle or Advising individuals to safely only purchase one tire that would be used on a drive Axle. Advising something like this goes against ASE recommendations where depth on both tires sharing the same axle are similar depth. This is why I asked if they happen to have a used tire that had a similar wear pattern rather than replacing it with a brand new one otherwise I would have to replace at least two on the drive axle in order for the differential to not suffer unnecessarily wear and tear. It is my understanding that they do not sell Used tires which from insurance standpoint makes sense. I was about ready to purchase all new tires, but because of this unnecessary interaction, I'm taking my business elsewhere. If he did some homework or actually went to mechanic school like this particular potential customer. He would be aware that the differential is housed in the transaxle of a front wheel drive vehicle. See attached photos of the diagram of a honda civic transaxle and differential. Below is the ASE principal for tire inspection. Firestone Store #24430 - 987 N Main St, Providence, RI…read more Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this location. I brought my car in on Oct 31st for a check engine light. Got it back the same day, light came right back on. Returned Nov 4th and found out they replaced one spark plug instead of fixing the actual issue -- a misfiring coil. Still charged me for their mistake. On my latest visit, they kept my car from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, charged me $50, and still didn't diagnose the heat issue or the check engine light. O'Reilly figured it out in five minutes. The worst part? When I picked up my car, the hood latch was broken -- something that was perfectly fine before. When I told them, Eric denied responsibility and refused to fix it. They also refused to finish the repairs they already acknowledged were needed. This place does sloppy work, dodges accountability, and leaves customers worse off than when they arrived. Go literally anywhere else.
