Jon Billmeyer, Manager, provided excellent service at a very reasonable price for our 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. Our trusty old Honda with 199,000 miles needed a new catalytic convertor that connects directly to the manifold. This was required to pass the Illinois Emissions test. (Little did we know that there are two catalytic convertors on this Honda Hybrid and the clean-up or second convertor is further down the exhaust pipe and Jon replaced that one two years ago after it was stolen.) Jon was able to look at our car within about 10 minutes after I arrived without an appointment which was the first indication of his dedication to the customer. He had to order the part since the car is 20 years old. After 4 days, Jon called to let me know he had the part, so we made an appointment and it took him only two hours to install it. In checking with a friend who works at another auto repair place I was told the parts and labor were a very good price, considering how rusted the underside of a 20 year old car must be. We had to drive it for a few days to reset the emissions codes. After 5 days I took it back without an appointment and within 10 minutes, Jon took his tester and I was told there were a few codes and that had not yet reset and we needed a few more days of driving and he will test it again. No extra cost for Jon to test it until he knows we will pass the emissions test. We hope to keep this trusty and somewhat rusty old Honda for another 100,000 miles and I know if we need service we will return to Jon at Cress Creek Automotive. As an aside, I know Tesla owners would never read reviews on a site about gasoline cars, but I have a friend who needed a new bumper for his Tesla. It took Tesla one month to get the part, and then they kept his car for a week to make the repair. I know there are other Tesla owners who have complained about the cost and the time involved with Tesla shops in getting repairs on their cars. read more

BE AWARE!!! My car starter needed to be replaced and I called this shop. They told me the total cost was $575 without providing the details. Later in the day, I asked for the invoice and I saw that the part was $330 and I didn't want them to use it but 10 minutes later they said they already installed it (without waiting for my confirmation on the part) and if I wanted a different part (cheaper) they would charge me for another hour of labor. They also were charging me $75 for diagnosis even though I already told them what needed to be replaced. I went there to pick up my car with my boyfriend and he asked them for the diagnostic report since they were charging us and they couldn't provide it because it doesn't exist. For the part (biggest scam here), he first lowered it to $209 from $330 and he stated that he is giving us the part at cost. When my bf asked him for the receipt (we found out he used rebuilt part not new), the receipt showed he paid $186 not $209. Then he lowered it again to $186 while he was getting the core charge (probably $40) for returning the old part. We probably still paid more than what the actual part cost to him (it's $70 online) but the final price we paid was $148 versus $330. If my bf didn't get involved they would charge me $330 for the rebuilt car starter for my Hyundai Accent GS. Be aware everyone (especially women) to not get scammed. While my bf was kindly and simply asking basic questions (for receipts and reports), Jon was yelling and throwing papers at us. It was terrible customer service, we will not be back for sure! I definitely DON'T recommend anyone going to this place for any type of service. We ended up paying $406 versus $685, initial and final invoices attached. read more

Went here on a recommendation from a nearby service center. I am glad for that recommendation. Jon and his team provided amazing customer service and excellent service. I was able to get a quote that matched the final offer (which was hundreds less that a previous quote from another auto service center) Jon explained everything that would be done and provided assurances as to the prognosis of the repair. The job was done quickly and upon viewing the repairs afterwards, I am impressed! I had an issue with my exhaust that I had been putting off for a long time and based on multiple inspections would have eventually cause damages that would have resulted in repair cost in the 1000's. They are one of the few places that do not immediately recommend replacement of exhaust systems and can perform repair work. I will look forward to utilizing their services for my high mileage vehicles that I was previously afraid to invest any money towards repairs because of cost. One repair has extended the usefulness of my vehicle and saved me sooooo much money and stress. Great company, great service and Excellent experience.
