I was looking for a groomer asap because our overgrown hair 10 month old Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu) needed a cut badly. We've only taken him to one groomer and they were unavailable so I checked Yelp. My Best Friend Dog Spa was the first to respond. Her credentials and ratings were impressive so I inquired with her availability and rates. Ami said depending on whether our baby needed a cut or buzz will determine the cost. She was very accommodating and said she could take our little man at 4:00PM on a Saturday (which is the same day I called to schedule an appointment). Their location is so easy to find with shared parking with Choi's Garden Restaurant. We dropped our puppy around 3:45PM and picked him up later that evening. Ami had a client prior which she was still servicing at the time of our arrival. There was a small play area for our Malshi to wait. We left him and then came back two hours later. We didn't want to rush the process. Ami and her husband Patrick were so kind and friendly with our Malshi. Ami did a wonderful job with our little puppy! All around! Thank you so much, Ami! My partner was like, "OH, WOW! Who is this??? Is this Chewbacca? He looks so different!" He said that Chewbacca looks so much better and cleaner! He also said his nails were so nice and short. I needed all three of my dogs groomed for a doggie photo shoot. I have one Maltese/Shih Tzu, a black terrier mix, and a tan terrier mix. Each of them have their own challenges. The Maltese/Shih Tzu is the hardest to groom out of the three. The black terrier is a senior dog (15 years old). And the tan terrier mix is a puppy at 8 months with lots of energy. Ami did an amazing job with all three! Ami was super responsive and easy to schedule with initially through the Yelp app then through regular text messages. She's had a lot of training/experience here and in Korea and Japan. She lists different styles of cuts that you can choose your look. She also texted me a bunch of photos of the dogs with their new look. They came home with brand new bandanas! Super cute. She's located in the same parking lot as Choi's Garden but it's small and easy to miss. But parking is FREE! So that's always a bonus. We dropped them off at 9am, she promised they'd be done by 2 but she was done by 1! Highly recommended! And always nice to help out someone starting their own business! read more
