My son and I were craving a Gyro and the place we used to go in Dacula was closed, but this one was listed also in Dacula so we gave it a try. So glad we did!!! Just down the street from the high school this is a small place just off Atlanta Highway easy to find with a large storefront and ample parking. Once inside it's decorated pretty simple, ordering is up front but I got food to go so called ahead and ordered what we wanted. We were craving.Gyros so we got two of them., one with everything including fries, and the other I left off the fries, but had a ample amount of lamb, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and it was huge!!!! The pita bread was thick and soft with a perfect chew this was probably a half a pound or more total weight. Every bite was sensational. I added a little extra tomato for mine and this really hit the spot. We also got the appetizer falafel's, which came with the mustard sauce, and these were spot on a Greek delicacy. For dessert we had the Galaktoboureko- phyllo dough with a custard and a citrusy syrup and OMG this was phenomenal!! This was a huge piece for $8.95 and it fed three of us with a couple of bites were saving till tomorrow, but an absolute delight. I don't eat a lot of desserts, but I could get addicted to this as I already liked baklava and I haven't tried those yet, but that's next. The girl upfront was super friendly and had my order ready when I got there and so glad I made the 25 minute ride from Winder to try this out. This was the first time here and there will be many more to come. I'm looking at the menu again to see what I'm gonna order the next time but knowing me, I will go right back to another Gyro because that is one of my favorite wraps, and so glad we found this place. This is my third time here and it just keeps getting better. The family atmosphere starts as soon as you walk in the door. The service is all smiles and love. Gracious! I hate to update my review, but my recent meal here was very disappointing. The past several times, it's been mildly unpleasant to have to be seated and then go order at the counter. I dislike paying for a meal before even being served it because there's no telling if the tip was deserved. I can deal with ordering at the counter if the staff is still knowledgeable and prompt. There was only one table occupied and it took 30 minutes to receive our meals ... staggered. One entree, followed by a long wait, then one more, which basically meant the 6th meal (easily the most simple, a side salad) served was brought out as the 1st person had already finished eating. No apologies at all, and all I could think was, "well, they already got their tip, why would they care." We also watched the other tables fill up and inexplicably receive their meals promptly. The green beans are awful. They used to be one of my favorite things here, but this time they tasted like a tin can of spaghettio sauce mixed with a tin can of green beans, and more carrot than green bean. One of our party ordered the salmon special, and you could just look at the salmon and know that it would be painfully dry. It was difficult to even swallow. I loved this restaurant and I want to support local business, but I think that the menu prices should be balanced by it being ordering-at-the-counter rather than being waited on. read more

This place has the best spanakopita that I've ever tried Homemade and heavenly. They use real feta cheese and there is so much lovely depth to the seasonings used in the spinach blend! The portion was generous, the crust hot and flaky!! My traditional gyro was also very yummy and big enough to have leftovers! The tzatziki dip was absolutely delicious and clearly super freshly made! My boyfriend got the cabbage rolls and he loved them. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside and has the cutest greek theme. Our server was attentive and service was quick. We had a great experience! We ordered the Saganaki and the Opa combo platter. It was plenty of food for two of us. Service was prompt and they checked in with us multiple times after food was delivered. The dining area is clean and decorated to make you feel like you are in Greece! I recommend giving it a try! My husband picked this up for dinner so I can't comment on the inside but the food was delicious! Even after he drove 15 min home, the food was still hot. We had the spinach pie, and you could tell it was homemade, delicious! He had the gyro platter and it was the best gyro meat we have ever had. I had the Mousaka and it was awesome! I've been supporting this business since they opened. Most of my experiences have been great. Both food and service have been outstanding. I usually do take out. I order on line and go pick it up. The ambiance seems great. The place is clean and the staff are friendly enough. On my visit last week I was very disappointed unfortunately. The standard pickup time is 30 mins. I placed my order at 6:30, with pickup scheduled for 7:00 pm. I arrived at 7:30 to be told they had no order for me, but if I waited they will prepare it. Although I was quite annoyed I opted to wait. Approximately 20 mins later I get my order. After I got home and started eating I realized that there's not much, outside of the meat in my gyro, it's way too flat. I open it up to find this...(see pics). Where's the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. There were a few fries. I spent a total $25 in their establishment, this is not okay. I think I should be reimbursed for at least the gyro. I'd hate to stop supporting them, but this is not okay. read more

Very charmingly decorated little restaurant. The appetizers did seem a bit costly for the amount but were high quality, so.. okay. We got feta and olives and also the hummus plate. Pita bread seemed a little gummy but pretty tasty. My meal was chicken shish kebab and was very delicious and reasonably healthy. Sister got the spanokopita dinner which she liked but said it was too high in carbs.... rice, potatoes and spanokopita with lots of crust. Other sis got the gyro platter which she said was very good. We overdid the desserts. The wedding cookies were not so good...very, crumbly, dry and had no almond flavor. The kormos was yummy. The tiramisu was delicious, my favorite. The Ekmek Kataifi (sp?) was ... not so great... my least favorite. But I am picky, so overall this was a great Greek restaurant! read more

This was our second time here. The first time, the gyros were a bit dry, from the meat to the taziki sauce, and they didn't improve any on this visit. Taziki sauce should be fluid, not thick and viscous. It should also taste more like cucumbers. The tomatoes were anemic and had no taste. Also, this is the first Greek restaurant we've ever been to where french fries are put into the pita, and they were soggy and unsalted. If you're looking for a really great gyro and you're over in the Snellville area, there's a drive thru place on 78 that has really spetacular gyros and platters - and it's a lot less money. The third time probably won't be the charm here, so this is our last visit. read more

The service was suspended. As we walked in to the small but nicely decorated restaurant we felt welcomed. We wanted to try a little of everything so ordered the Opa Platter. Incredible experience at this new-to-us locally owned and family operated Greek restaurant in Dacula. We have had several mediocre meals since our previous favorite Greek place closed, so we did not know what to expect, but from the moment we walked in we were blown away. The atmosphere is small, but warm and inviting... and Maria and Panos make you feel like old friends the minute you enter their doors! What a little gem! I have lived in the area off and on since this was Amy's country kitchen, then the barbeque, now I moved farther and this gem opened up. The family who owns this is SO nice and the food was great. I have had the gyro, the soup, Greek salad, bacon kotomaki & chicken souvlaki. My two favorites were the kotomaki and the Greek potatoes that came with my gyro. I could just eat the potatoes all day long. I will be back I am sure for another go! read more

This is authentic Greek food, folks. Do not let the small parking lot dissuade you - you NEED to eat here! The souvlaki (chicken, pork, and bifteki), gyro, pita, pastitsio, lemon potatoes, lemon soup, tzatziki, and desserts are AMAZING! The service is taken care of by the owners and they do a fantastic job! The interior of the restaurant is done to make you think you are eating on a veranda in Greece! Very nice! The most amazing was the flaming cheese in the cast iron skillet (I don't know the name). Gyro and potatoes were delicious. Greek coffee-a must try!
