Doesn't like her job clearly, claimed I was being aggressive when I asked if the special on the window was still on. She was also being extremely rude and disrespectful to an elderly middle eastern couple and continued to tell them if they could come back tomorrow, so someone else can understand what they're saying. Who does that??? If you dont care for customer service this is not the job for you. Do not come here and avoid the disrespect and harassment. The receptionist was just rude (CLARA)!! She keep telling us to hurry up and make decisions and yet they the ones taking forever just doing an eye test. She blaming us cs it was past closing time and she the one taking her sweet @$$ time. Also they charged wayyyy too much. I had 1 eyeglass and the price was around $120 and when we checked it out, it was over $300 with a normal prescription. This place and their costumers service is trashed!!! read more

So I ran out of contacts and needed to get some new ones and therefore I needed to get a new prescription to buy said contacts. Yes, I'd been slacking and didn't go to my usual go-to Dr., but I figured, why not try this place out since the reviews seemed very favorable. Before I came in, I had called the number listed on the website and made an appointment. I had asked over the phone what the cost of the exam and I was informed that it was $99, which matched with the price listed on the website (granted it does say 'average price' on the website). I went to the store after making my appointment and I told the gentleman I was dealing (I think he might have been the sales manager) with that I was there strictly for an eye exam and wasn't planning on purchasing anything. However, throughout my interaction with him, he kept pushing me to purchase contacts from them. In addition to this, he informed me that the eye exam was going to cost me $149 and the $99 price was only available 'with purchase', which wasn't informed to me over the phone or listed on the website. The explanation the staff who helped me provided was 'the operator doesn't always know what the store special is'. Don't get me wrong, dude was nice and friendly, but come on! Anyway on to the exam; the gentleman who helped me out was also the one who did all the pre-exam stuff; you know? With the little thing where you stare into the hole with the red barn? And a bunch of other stuff? Long story short, when it was time for the actual exam, I found out that it was actually a virtual exam. I mean, I sat in the typical exam chair looking at the typical wall with the letters and numbers and whatnot; but the Dr. wasn't there in the room with me but on the screen. The lens changing to test your eyes is being done remotely. Pretty cool, right? Nope, not really. I felt like the exam was rushed - every time he asked me to read a line and I would pause for a bit to try to read, he would keep asking me to read. My typical Dr would typically tell me to take my time or would change the lens when I'm struggling to ask if one or two is better instead of trying to rush me. Anyway, after the exam was done, the screen was turned off and the Dr. went offline. I couldn't ask him questions anymore. And I did have a major question when I was finally given my prescription: my left eye apparently had gone worse by 1.25!!! Yep the power in my left eye had gone worse by 1.25 which totally shook me. But I couldn't talk to the Dr. or ask if there'd been a mistake. I did mention it to the staff who was helping me, but he was of no help either. So I paid (they did give me the $99 exam fee anyway but it was as if they were doing it to me as a favor). Oh, I also had to wait a few days for them to order my trial contacts because my prescription was too high. When I came back to pick my prescription and finally put those contacts on, I immediately knew that the prescription was WRONG! My left eye was blurry and it was hard for me to read anything because it was too strong for me. One week after wearing the trial contacts, I went back to my typical Dr. and got another exam and she confirmed that my prescription had only gone up by 0.25 instead of by 1.25. This is in line with the the prescription in my right eye that had also gone up by 0.25. My typical Dr then gave me TWO pairs of trial contacts and guess what? They are so much better. So the TL;DR version of this review is: Dr. who performed my eye exam at My Eyelab either bungled the exam or typed the wrong prescription into the system (my guess is a typo) and I couldn't ask questions about it which led me to having had my eye exam done TWICE and paid for TWO eye exams in a span of a month. Dear Clara, I am personally writing to you. When someone comes to your work and the position you have. It doesn't hurt to say "Hello". That is like your second home and you should always make someone feel welcomed. (That is not asking for too much.) It's called common courtesy & especially in customer service. I can tell that isn't in your nature to be kind or be HELPFUL and you really don't care about being at that job. You have NO excitement or ambitious when it comes to that job. You sat on your phone looking at social media and did not care to make a sell or even HELP me with eyewear. You didn't tell me any offers or specials you were having at Stanton Optical. You didn't tell me what section to look at. You didn't ask me if I needed HELP. You just sat on your phone on social media. You truly don't want to be at that job and it clearly shows and that is fine if that is what Stanton Optical stands for. I went to LensCrafters and COMPLETELY DIFFERENT standards. You wouldn't even tell me your name. You just ignored me. Again, that is fine but When UPS came in and you didn't even want to help him out by signing. You wouldn't even tell him your name. You told him the letter "C". I didn't know your name until I read these fake reviews. Stanton Optical I am disappointed in your choose of employees that represent your company. You should be ashamed of the customer service of "C". Clara I hope you find it in your heart to be kind one day and get the help you need because you are not happy with life. This is not to bash you. Hello , Came to Stanton optical to try and get a eye exam done , African American lady at the front (Clara) i think her name might've been first off i walk in and say good afternoon and she blantly ignored me while she pretends to type on her computer , she Was extremely rude not only to me but other people . while in the waiting room she told these two elder Indian men to leave and come back tomorrow with someone who speaks English who says that to people especially the elderly. When i asked her why is she talking to them like that she tells me to mind my business . very unprofessional i grabbed my things and left shouldn't feel unconformable trying to get an eye exam . Absolutely outstanding customer service from the Assistant Manager Frankie she was very professional friendly and made me feel special she understood what I needed and went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. My nose pad had broken and I did an instrgram post.. saying "count your days" But I went to visit the location and they fixed it within 6 minutes!!!! They did not ask me for any receipt or asked questions, they promptly fixed it and clean them for me.. I'm a happy customer .. and you don't have to worry about counting your days . Let me start by saying that I highly recommend going to My Eye Lab. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They gave us hand sanitizer and explained to us how they are keeping the glasses sanitized. Every frame that I tried on I had to put in a bin so they can disinfect. Mariah and Frankie were very helpful and did not hesitate to answer any of my questions.. A great feature that they have is that you can check your order status online. I cant wait to receive my glasses. :) read more

I am very picky about my glasses and had tried on hundreds of glasses all over the city. I was very frustrated when I came to My eye lab. Gill helped me and was very friendly and very patient with me. We finally found glasses and sunglasses that I liked but when he put the sunglasses into the computer it said my prescription was too high for those sunglasses and it turns out it was too high for any of the sunglasses they had at the store so again I felt frustrated. Carlos, who was also working there, told me that I could come back and bring in some sunglasses from home or from anywhere else and they could check and see if they would work and if they did he would give me a discount on them on them which made me happy. I went in today today and the computer said that the glasses I brought in wouldn't work but Carlos really did everything he could to try and find something that would work for me. He was very friendly and very helpful. Then Ismael came in and worked a little magic and found something that would work so that made me very happy and took a load of stress off my shoulders. Everybody I dealt with was friendly, sweet, patient and really work to get me what I wanted and I very much appreciate all 3 of those guys for all the help they gave me! read more
