I decided to choose Costco to do my flooring and they partner with My Flooring America company. Costco did not involve much in the process, seems like they are a third party company. Good side: people that actually came to the house to do the sale were nice and efficient. They did a good job on the floor. The other side: sales rep was rude, her name was stacy Peek. I could never finish a phone call without her hanging up on me or giving me attitude. I wanted to blame that it was because we talked through phone calls so we might have misunderstood each other. She quit, then another sales rep took over. She was nice enough but was not efficient. The rooms that I wanted to do the vinyl flooring were having high moisture level. This is my first ever house and I did not have any experience about this. So for a whole MONTH (!!!) I contacted the house inspector about the moisture issues, looked for the answers everywhere I could have thought of. I ended up purchase a dehumidifier, having baking sode around the rooms to absorb the moisture, etc. i contacted them to ask about when they would send out people to check the moisture level, got the answer "it would cost us $100 everytime someone come out and check" and "we have been really patient with you" (like what!??), after multiple follow up emails and threats that I would bring this to Costco supervisors. I havent mentioned that they charged us higher than any other flooring company, but I still stayed with them because of Costco reputation, and they gave me the answer of costing them extra to send people out...?? They seem to be a big company with good workers, but Mitch, the supervisor that was talking to me was beyond rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My family and I recently had our downstairs floors done by this company, a $8,000-9,000 job. While that may not be a "big sale" for the company, it's a LOT of money to us. The end result was floors that do look very good, which is why I gave the company 2 stars vs. 1. But the process to get the floors done was a nightmare! Shop around and find a comparable price with another company, as it was not worth the headache. There were a few issues that took place in regards to my flooring project: 1. The company put us on the schedule for Thursday. I stayed home from work to greet the crew and get them started. My wife, who is a home baker out of our kitchen, also canceled several jobs that would have been picked up on Thursday. However, the company did not end up coming on Thursday. Even though I had confirmed the date verbally and in writing, the company had some kind of "back office mistake" on their schedule. There were no calls or emails - just a no show. I had to call around to figure out why they weren't there. Now instead of the job being Thursday-Saturday, it was Friday-Sunday. So that was our entire weekend and the Sunday happened to be Mother's Day. So my wife got a horrendous Mother's Day. 2. The contract I signed states that there may be extra costs associated with leveling the floors once the prior floors are removed. The contract clearly states that the homeowner would be notified of any repairs/prep that would be needed before it was done. Well, the company apparently decided that part of the contract was optional. I was not advised prior to the leveling and was simply told "we used 17 bags of concrete." Why is that a problem? Because the bags/labor cost of the concrete are passed on to the customer at approximately $60 a bag. So the Monday after install, I got a call from the company saying "you owe us $1,000 for the leveling." For all I know, they magically need 17 bags of concrete on every house they do to add a grand to all customers' bills - as not once did anyone point out a spot to me that was uneven or needed repair. 3. I brought the above issues up to the company and escalated my conversation to a supervisor then quality control manager. While they tried to appease me by charging me half the cost of the leveling (saying that was the break-even for cost and labor), I'm still not okay with that. So I say to the manager "what if I don't pay if?" Then the manager has the nerve to say that the crew will not get paid for their materials and time if I don't pay the bill. So you expect me to believe that this crew on your payroll or who contracts for you is not getting paid by you? The manager goes on to tell me that the crew leader's dad passed away last month so I should take that into consideration and pay the bill. Do I have sympathy for that? Absolutely! Is it completely unprofessional to bring that into the conversation in an attempt to make me pay this fee? Absolutely! Overall, the flooring looks good but the nightmare of fighting this bill and/or getting consideration for their scheduling mishap is far from over. Ironically, the company sent me an email before I finalized the purchase about their commitment to fantastic customer service. Hmm, seems like the company's employees need to know what promises they're breaking. Steer clear of My Flooring America! read more

Tran and his father Mr. Tran were true artisans. Our carpet installers did not do a great job and managed to do a lot of damage unfortunately. After trying to reach out to the company THREE TIMES (reaching out through their website and emailing specific people within the company), I have yet to receive any feedback. Their price is in between, not cheap and not too expensive comparing to their competitors. Do prepare for additional cost for floor leveling after the price quoted. One thing they can improve is to include transition cost between the floor they don't touch to keep the same look and feel throughout the home. This is to prevent too many colors of the floor transition. Homeowner will not know as they lack knowledge in this area. To prevent floor man to return second time to put transition in the area of the old floor (area without new floor) so they can be the same look and feel. Other than this, it's a very good company to work with starting from salesman, floor crews and follow up team. read more

We went thru Costco to obtain our beautiful Shaw floor, and thus ended up with My Flooring America, the contracted company. The salesman was outstanding, and very thorough. The workers laid our floor carefully, however, failed to completely seal it in a couple of spots. Here is where things turned ugly. Ignored calls finally resulted in an appt to have the gluing fixed. Crew was a no show, with failing to call us as well, and give a reason for not showing up. Called the main office and they had no idea the crew never fixed our floor. As things stand now, we have an appt scheduled for the fix. Do I have confidence they will show up, let alone do the necessary repairs? No. They do not reflect Costco or Shaw well at all. read more

My wife and I wanted to redo one of our floors with laminate. We went to a few local flooring stores in the area, including the big home improvement stores. The difference between the local stores, like My Flooring America, versus the big home improvement stores are the choices. There is a vast selection at My Flooring America. It's almost overwhelming. When we walked into My Flooring America, Felton, the salesperson greeted us. He was very polite and respectful. He wasn't pushy like the other stores we went to, and he wasn't like the typical car salesman. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want. As with any flooring, the installation can be more expensive than the materials. Felton took the time to break it all down for us, and if we decided to do it ourselves he told us how to install it. At the end of the day, I decided to purchase only the materials and have a handyman install it. When we got the laminate, we had a few questions about the installation. I contacted Felton, and he was more than happy to help. There ended up being a minor problem with one of the items we ordered, and Felton went above and beyond to fix it for us. We chose My Flooring America's no name brand laminate. They order them in bulk, so even though it's a high quality laminate (extra thick) the price was lower than the big name brands in the store. The laminate and the padding actually came out cheaper than the big home improvement store. We were very happy with My Floor America, and if we had to replace another floor, we would definitely go back and ask for Felton. read more

Big shout out to My Flooring America!!! I went in to search for carpet to replace our master bedroom carpet. When I walked in I was immediately overwhelmed with the options. Our salesperson Mark came to the rescue! He took some time to find out our likes, dislikes and what we were looking for. Then he schooled us on the types of carpet and installation process. We were not hassled to make a decision. This was a plus! After he introduced himself and provided the information he went on his way and let the carpet sell itself; +1*. It didn't take long to select a few different options. Mark came out to our home with the samples to show us what it would like like under our lighting and he took measurements of the room for free. We returned the following weekend to the same welcoming, friendly people to purchase the carpet and schedule installation. Here's the only negative I have about them. The earliest date we could get for the install was a full month out! The carpet had to be ordered and shipped from Georgia. Ughhh the agony everyday looking at the old carpet waiting day after day for the NewNew was nervewracking. Finally, the installation day had come. I received a phone call from them an hour before they were supposed to arrive saying the installation crew had called in sick and there would be another crew coming later in the afternoon. The crew arrived an hour late but it only took them a little under 45 min to remove the old and install the new carpet in a room over 280 sqft.. IMPRESSIVE!!! Although I did not care for the long lead time and late arrival of the installation crew, I can say they do 5 star quality work with great prices and fast! My new master bedroom looks amazing!! I will return for flooring and more for my mancave soon!!! read more

Wonderful selection and fair prices but they are not accommodating at all unless you hire them to install it as well. I attempted on 2 different occasions to purchase samples to take home to see how it looks against my walls and with my lighting. Today I was told that I couldn't take samples from the store even if I paid for them - they would order a sample for me. This would take 1-2 weeks and then if I like it I can order more - an additional 1-2 weeks shipping time. As much as I prefer to shop at locally owned stores I can't wait a month when there are no floors in my house. Home Depot it is. ‍ read more

I use My Flooring America last year during when I remodeled my bathroom. They did a mediocre job with my tile in the bathroom, the center seem is not centered between the two cut-outs and my drain and now the grout is missing between my tiles in many places. I really liked the flooring that I had them install though, and wanted the same floor in my 2nd bathroom for the remodel so came back to them for that. When I first talked to them about time frame, they told me they were running about a week or two out and should be no problem to get the floor done in the time frame I needed. After paying, found out later that they were running closer to a month out. I had to cancel my appointment with the contractor for the remodel because he was waiting on the floor to be installed. We set a date for the 26th of December and rescheduled my contractor a 2nd time for the following day of the 27th. They called to confirm my appointment with them on the 26th a few days ahead of time so I thought all was well. Had my toilette removed that morning and was waiting for them to come between 9am and 11am which was the time given to me but nobody came. When I called them they called back and told my wife they were not going to be able to make it. It would have been nice if they had called me and told me they would not be able to make it once they knew about it since me and my family were waiting on them to finish up so we could go after-Christmas shopping. We wasted a whole day. Then they said they were going to try to make it today and would call me back, well I never got a call back and no one ever showed up to do the floor. Poor customer serve is an understatement! Ruined my day with my family visiting from up north and ruining my relationship with my contractor who has had to reschedule now 2x, once on less than a days notice. Done with these people, using a competitor next time. 1ST UPDATE: They finally decided to call me and scheduled me to have my floor put in Friday but my contractor not available until January 8th now, so no working sink or toilette in the main bathroom for 10 days. 2ND UPDATE: Now they won't be able to keep their 2nd appointment, costing me yet another full days pay for no other reason than their incompetence. They cost me more in missed work by having to take two extra days off from work than what it cost for the entire floor. If you prefer unreliable service and have a few days of pay you can throw away go ahead and give them a ring... read more

They installed hardwood 3 years ago in my bedroom living-room and halls. Some of the floor in my bedroom started sinking so we called them to come out. They fixed but 3 weeks later we started remodeling and had the bedroom floors pulled up and discovered mold on the back side of the hardwood. The contractor said it was due to the insufficient protection used before we wood was installed. Called to tell them this but sent the same man and now it's not their fault. So needless to say we are suck with molded hardwood until we take them to court. The moisture is not the problem; the moisture barrier you put in was the wrong kind which caused the wood to mold. read more

Placed order in June 2018 for carpet and luxury vinyl flooring. I live in a doublewide mobile home and was told the vinyl flooring was the way to go and everyone was using it that had gone through flooding, so I got it. But today after being installed for 3 months the installers are here putting it back together. You see it separated and was popping up. Now they are glueing it together. I was told this wouldn't happen. My installer tells me this is not the right kind of flooring for mobile homes and my salesperson should have known. Anyway lesson learned and I will not be buying anything else from them. By the way, my installer and his crew was wonderful people. read more

The next day I get a call back that I was misquoted and the price for the flooring is actually $3500 more. This error on their part ended up delaying my shipment and added several more days stays at the AirBnb. The only response I got from them was sorry our fault. Incredibly unprofessional. read more

Writing this review is extremely difficult because the end result of our second carpet installation by the same company was great, but the process was absolutely horrendous. I would absolutely never, ever, ever recommend anyone ever dealing with this company--even if it is through Costco or another company that subcontracts. It was the most awful service experience, and truthfully, the company lacks a streamlined process to provide consistent, correct, truthful, and timely communication to its customers. My husband and I chose to replace our carpets, and we decided to trust Costco's service providers as we absolutely love Costco and really purchase the bulk of our household items through them. My Flooring America was the company contracted by Costco to provide the carpet and carpet installation. Technically, we chose Costco, not My Flooring America to install our carpets. Our initial interaction with the sales team was positive--friendly, kind, casual and very, very likeable. Prices seemed reasonable in comparison with other carpet installation companies. A couple weeks of receiving payment, our carpet was installed. The day of installation, the company had me lay underneath a truck to see if the carpet was the correct color. It was during September in Texas, so the blazing sun absolutely distorted my ability to see if the carpet was, in fact, the correct carpet. They would not let me cut a small sample to bring into my home to make sure it was the correct carpet color as I remembered in the lighting of my home. The sales team and warehouse manager ensured that "We (Shaw carpets) do not make mistakes." I trusted this arrogance, and the carpet was laid. Of course, against my better judgement, it was the incorrect color (the company claimed it was a slight color issue with the dying of this batch of carpet) and the carpet padding was stapled down to our subfloor and you could absolutely feel trenches all throughout our upstairs. It was awful. Maybe because the carpet was pulled way too tight when it was laid, the carpet felt like you were walking on a cheap outdoor rug. It was absolutely not pleasant for the amount of money we paid. Luckily, per our contract provisions, we were allowed a free second carpet installation if the first was not awesome. Dealing with the sales team and My Flooring America was an absolute nightmare post installation. Not only was the company not timely in returning phone calls, texts, and emails, it took them three months to reinstall the carpets for a second time. The second carpet installation was substantially better--and I have no idea if the team they sent was just more skilled in general, or if the amount of communication that happened between my family, Costco and My Flooring America made a difference. I will never know. My Flooring America sent a team of two men to our home for the first installation, and for the second, we had a minimum of four service providers at our home at all times. In terms of the actual installation, we are actually extremely pleased with the second job this company did (thus the two star rating). But if anyone was to ever, ever, ever ask who installed our carpets, I would absolutely advice them to seek other providers instead of My Flooring America. It is the most awful feeling to pay a lot of money for a product and service only to question the integrity of the company, its processes and to really never know if the carpet installed was the actual carpet you purchased. I implore you, dear reader if you have made it this far, to look elsewhere for your carpeting or flooring needs. read more

Let me start off by saying this company has made a lasting good impression on me. From the initial conversation with Mark (our salesman) to the installation to the warranty work thereafter! You can tell a lot about a company when they stand behind their warranty. A couple of years ago I had polyester carpet installed in all my rooms. The carpet install was done in an efficient and professional manner, however my carpet had a defect. Because it came with a 20 year warranty I contacted My Flooring America and put in a claim. An adjuster came out and took pictures and forwarded his findings to the manufacturer. Within a couple of months I was informed that my claim was approved and all I needed to do was schedule a date to have new carpet installed (at no charge) Before I got around to scheduling my carpet install my house was flooded by HARVEY!! :( I called them and explained the situation and they were very helpful and sympathetic towards our situation. Long story short, I ended up having to reschedule the carpet install 4 TIMES due to repair delays in my home. Danny Vasquez in the scheduling department was awesome! He worked with me every step of the way. I was even given a 50% discount on new padding!!! I upgraded to a softer and thicker carpet for a few extra dollars and couldn't be happier with it. The installers called before coming and made sure everything was left clean and in order. The rooms look amazing! We have finally moved back in to our home after 5 months. Its good to be back. Thank you My Flooring America for taking such good care of us in our time of need. read more

I had a great experience with these guys at the Sugar Land store and would definitely use them again. I had ancient carpet in the master bedroom of my new condo and it took me a long time deciding what to replace it with, but Mike was endlessly patient, answered all my questions right away, and never pushed me to make a decision. They also had a larger and better selection of materials to choose from (in particular natural materials such as wool carpet and cork) than other businesses that quoted me, and after all the research and legwork I did I feel good about the price for what I went with. Flooring America installed our wood floor and tile over 10 years ago, and because of their excellent customer service and products, we had them replace all of our carpeting and tile in our upstairs bathrooms. Their workmen for the tile and carpeting were outstanding. Their flooring products were outstanding and their salesperson at the store was so helpful. We would definitely recommend this store for any of your flooring needs. It has a large store inventory with a small town feel. Very impressed throughout the process. read more

I highly recommend that you go with another company to purchase your flooring needs. I have had major issues with the flooring, the company installed. They use subcontractors with no regards to quality work. When you have an issue it takes such long to get resolved ! I have been working with them since July 2018 and yet to have the work completed. They do not follow up with work orders... they will not take accountability for their subcontractors work eventhough they are are representative of My Floorimg America. They will charge you for a level set ... a mixture that goes under your flooring ... this created in my house uneven floors after the install... they will not make right on any flooring installation issues you have. I have invested almost $15k in flooring with them ... spend your money elsewhere... I will even open my home to anyone who would like to see the work they complete so you can see for your own eyes ... read more

I purchased carpet through Costco and they subcontracted the installation to My Flooring of America. My Flooring America then subcontracted the installation out to another installer. Needless to say the installation was filled with issues. The installer was looking for every excuse and cut corners on what was agreed to in the original contract with Costco. When I called the sales team who Costco uses (Xpress Floors America), they told me all the right things and that they would resolve the issue. The installer did not complete the work and after 1 month of calls to My Flooring of America and Xpress floors it is still not resolved. It's clear all parties are incapable of managing their installation crews since they are multiple levels of subcontractors. Make no mistake My Flooring America and Xpress Floors will talk a big game about how they will make it right but in the end they are incapable due to poor leadership. read more

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not make the mistake to even step inside there store, because it will be a complete waste of time. They send out these flyers promising you free estimate and free installation, but really they just put all that cost into the carpet which you have to buy! My experience with them was tremendously horrible, they quoted me a price for 2.99, and I had visited there store twice to make sure I got that same exact carpet for 2.99, and when I came in the third day to pay, he told me that were sorry we made a mistake in our computer and the carpet is for $4.10!!! That price is completely different then what he was initially giving me, I don't understand how he came up with the mistake right when I came to pay up for the carpet! Once again please save your time and money and spend it at a different store that doesnt want to rip you off. read more

This store has been on the list for 16 consecutive years for the retailer on the employer of choice list. So I know all about good customer service. Mark did a great job or keeping in touch with us until we signed those papers to get the flooring installed they we were thrown out to the wolves to fend for ourselves. We had not had any follow-up calls, as a matter a fact, we weren't called during the installation except when we got a call requesting the remainder of the payment. We did voice our dissatisfaction at the time but to no avail. Our experience with My Flooring America is the worst that I have ever had with any other company. We used them because friends recommended them. When we first contacted My Flooring America for a quote, the sales man was very nice and professional. He came to our house to do measurements and to give us a quote. We then agreed to let My Flooring America do the job and everything went downhill from there. My husband took 2 days off work to be there for the installation. The installers showed up 6 hours late, asked for remaining payment upon arrival, knocked a hole in the wall and damaged several pieces of furniture including electrical wires while removing the old flooring. Then we found out that there was a problem, water under the old laminate. After that dried, about a week; they came back to complete the job. Didn't have the factory corner rounds or transition pieces that I ordered. They actually installed some pieces of wood that they had purchased from one of the local hardware stores and tried to stain them to match our flooring. It looked awful plus they did not us the correct pieces for the transition between rooms. I called the salesman to voice my concerns, he told me that it would be taken care of and it wasn't. My husband and I then drove to the store to voice our concerns and issues with the installation; he again assured us that everything would be taken care of. They sent the installation supervisor out, who looked at the job, did not comment as to what would be done, just took notes. We never heard from him. After several more phone calls from us, a new set of installers were sent out, this time they were 9 hours late, but they did not have enough of the corner rounds to complete the job and none of the transition pieces. Overall it took approximately month to do a job that we were told it would take 2-3 days. We paid to have the heavy furniture moved but they did not move any furniture back in place after the job was completed. We were constantly asked for the second part of our payment even though the job was not completed to our satisfaction. We have not received any follow-up call to see if we are satisfied, no one has come out to inspect the job. We feel that My Flooring America does not care about us as a customer and were only looking to get paid. This company has the poorest customer service that I have ever experienced in my entire life. I sincerely hope that other customers have not been treated the way that we were. My Flooring America does not value their customers, at least not us. I would not recommend them to anyone. Customer service is key to me. You would think that they would want repeat customers and for us to recommend them to others, but by the way we were treated, it is obvious to me that they do not value our business. I don't like to play the race card but it does make me wonder. read more

I would not recommend them to anyone. My very first encounter with them, they were very accommodating by scheduling someone to come to my home for an estimate after work hours which was important. But nobody showed up at the scheduled date and time. When I called them, I learned that their scheduling person "no longer works there". Finally had a salesperson come to my home on a Saturday morning. She was on time and very, very nice. She measured the room I was wanting to carpet and gave me a rough estimate. I then went to the showroom and was shown some carpets in all price and quality categories which I appreciated. I had to wait 2 weeks for the installer to call back to schedule install. For a job they told me would take approx 5 hours, actually took 5 just to bring up the flooring that was there. 9 hours into the day, they told me they ordered the wrong size carpet. 2 weeks later, I was STILL walking on padding only. I had to call to schedule the install. When they finally did come, they had ordered the wrong thing AGAIN! I made several calls to the regional manager who at first was friendly and accommodating and apologetic. But at this point, he no longer returned my messages. After 3 weeks of having 3 rooms in my house unusable, I was furious. I went to the showroom and demanded somebody fix this mess. They called me the next day, scheduled the installer, and ended up piecing some carpet together. Javier, the installer did a great job and was so nice. It was a very stressful 3 weeks. I ended up with a great looking room, Javier was nice and they ended up writing off a big chunk of the cost for the inconvenience. Which is the only reason I didn't rate them a 1-star! read more
