My Flooring America was very easy to deal with. Due to extensive remodeling, our installation dates had to be changed several times. The installer changed our dates with no problems. Once we were ready to begin installation the workers were ready to get to work. The installers, especially Danny, would get here early and stay late. We are very pleased with their work. Update to review that I left on 12/7/2023-my small order, which was only 6 sheets of tile, arrived 2 weeks late. My husband took a half day off work to go pick up the tile at their Denton location because it would take longer to have the order shipped to the store in The Colony that we placed the order at. This is our second time working with MFA and we have been delighted with thq quality and the speed for each job! (1st was recarpeting the entire 2nd floor in 2014, this job was flooring the master bedroom and closet.) Stay away from this company. We purchased tile and carpet from them and this company did the worst job I have seen in a tile install. All of the transitions to carpet were jagged or not straight. Tiles were not laid straight and overall were poorly laid. They re-installed the tile around my fireplace and while doing so put deep scratches in the wood floor. They are offering to redo the tile, but will not give me any guarantees in writing that they will replace the new carpet if it gets damaged or repaint base boards and walls. I also asked that an executive from the company call me and basically got the run around for 3 months and then told no one will call me. You would think a company would want to address the concerns of a customer who spent over $13.000. I paid extra because I thought I was getting a good local company and preferred that over a big national chain, my mistake. 3 months later still not resolved. My advice go somewhere else! read more

We had hardwoods installed in three rooms and our hallways. Pre-sales support was great, they came out to the house and measured and provided a quote. I got a follow up call, but was not harassed or pressured. Scheduling was quick, painless and the crew showed up on time and did an excellent job on the install. Got a few calls regarding the final payment, which was due before the job started, but they were up front about the payment policy when I placed the order and deposit. Unfortunately, Once they did receive the final payment, that's the last we heard from them. No one ever stopped by, called or followed up to ensure the installation went OK. The evening after the install we had a problem with two of the transitions, and figured a phone call would result in some quick action to rectify the situation, especially after being assured of their excellent service and support. It took weeks of repeated calls, eventually direct to the corporate headquarters, before we got any response other than promises for return calls that never came. It's really a shame, everything went so smoothly and perfectly up until we had an issue. We would have been return/repeat customers had they handled the situation differently, instead we will not be using them again. They sure don't mind getting a hold of you to make that final payment, just don't expect the same courtesy if you have an issue. And the fact that no one even bothered to place a follow up call after dropping thousands on flooring is simply inexcusable. read more

It's disheartening to read all these good reviews, because our experience was nothing like this. We decided to replace all the flooring in our house this past December (carpet upstairs, vinyl plank downstairs). We had talked with many different companies, but ended up going with My Flooring America because of their promise of quality installation and professionalism. The sales team was very nice and helpful. But once we started the process of installation, everything became a huge headache. Every person who was scheduled to come to our house was late (some teams showed up an hour to two hours after their scheduled 9-11am block of time, without any call or apology. Usually we had to call to see where they were). They installed the vinyl plank flooring first. The project was estimated to take two days. We were happy to see that it only took one day, but we soon discovered why. They had rushed the job and failed to level the subfloor. This resulted in air pockets all throughout the floor. It felt as if our foot was falling into a hole every other step we took. We called them and it took about 2 weeks of coming out to look at it for them to admit they messed up. They had to come back, rip the floor completely back out, and re-do the entire job (They didn't try to charge us for this, so we were appreciative of that). Even after re-installation, the floor still doesn't feel as steady as every other vinyl plank flooring we have walked on in our friends' houses, and we paid more per sq. foot than they did. Now for the carpet installation. They, of course, were hours late on the installation day. They did an overall poor installation. There were areas where the carpet was pulling up at transitions. And all throughout the house there were (and still are) tacks from the tack strips sticking up, especially on our stairs. All of us have been cut on our feet to the point of bleeding (including my 6 and 2 year olds). We're constantly having to walk around to try to hammer them down. It's so upsetting that we spent close to $10,000 of our hard earned money on this project. We went with My Flooring America because we wanted to support a smaller company rather than a big chain store, but we won't be making that mistake again. read more

Recently had 1500 sq ft of engineered wood flooring replaced with LVP from MFA. The entire process and experience was exceptionally good. Yes, other reviews say they are "quirky" with not letting out samples but they'll bring them to your home. No pressure, just professionalism. The install process was over the top, hats off to the JC Reynosa install team! Fast forward 3 weeks and while painting new baseboard I installed, I found some "sticky" material on the floor from an old carpet pad i was using to kneel on and couldn't get it off so I decided to use Goo Gone. Bonehead move as I soon discovered and quickly found myself in the dog house with the Mrs. After a week of trying to convince her no one would notice (without success), I Called MFA's Quality Control Manager Robert for help on what to do. He came the next day and worked a miracle! Happy wife, happy life! read more

From the beginning to the end of the process the team was great to work with! Kevin and Kent did a great job of helping us to select the right carpet for our home. Kent brought the samples at the measurement appointment and gave us several options that would work with the home. The installation crew was professional, had great quality work, and took care to protect the hardwood floors as they worked to install the carpet in the other areas. MFA did a great job on my hardwood floors and I would definitely recommend them to do yours! They also laid some tile in the entry way and those turned out awesome as well! Response times were prompt, they showed up on time, and everything was exactly as we discussed. If I had to pick one gripe (and it's not enough to even dock them a star), we got a little bit of conflicting information about dry times, acclimation times, and target humidity levels. That said, Jim ironed out the confusion immediately and we were all back on the same page in no time! Glen, Jim, and Rene were all a pleasure to work with start to finish them. My Flooring America is the best company for helping you to design the floor of your dreams. We instantly felt at ease and at home when we walked into their huge, bright and cheery showroom. We walked in not even knowing how to begin our journey with new flooring, but they immediately put us at ease walking us through every step of the way. Not once did we ever feel pressure to purchase anything we weren't ready to do. We visited the showroom several times before we decided to go with them. What sold us was that each time we walked in to this store, we felt like we were the most important people they had seen all day. We never felt like we were interrupting them from performing some other task or inconveniencing them by all our countless and repetitive questions. We visited several flooring companies around town to see what they offered for porcelain tiles. We found a specific tile we wanted at another company but wanted to conduct our business with My Flooring America. They went out of their way to locate the specific tile we were looking for. Another flooring company had actually come in with a lower bid on the same work. We were upfront and honest with My Flooring Company. We old them that we had found a better deal elsewhere, but we absolutely loved Dee and the staff at My Flooring America. We told them that we didn't want to use any other company, but we had a budget limit. They fully understood and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the total bill, the product and the service from start to finish. Dee was great at educating us about what to expect from how to prepare our house for the new flooring, to how to care for the tile after it's installed. Everything she told us about the process was like an exact science. There were no surprises. The crew that installed the tile were so professional and made sure we were kept well informed during the entire process. If there was a decision that needed to be made about tile placement, they didn't make assumptions. They would immediately consult us for our recommendations and proceeded to professionally lay our tile. There were several staff who would either phone or come in person to check on the progress of the installation and ask if we had any questions or concerns, which there were none. Everything was handled so professionally, on time, and on budget! For 15 years, we struggled with a crooked floor electrical outlet. It always stood out, was a trip hazard, and an obvious eye sore. The crew fixed the outlet for us, so that it was flush with the rest of the new flooring. Very impressive. We couldn't decide if we wanted a transition piece between the new floor and another type of flooring we had throughout the remainder part of the house. They brought in the transition pieces, helped us to visualize what the flooring would look with and without the pieces. Just by their taking the time to help us make an educated decision, we were able to make the best decision for our house. We couldn't be more pleased with how our floors look. We had a concept in mind of what we wanted, and they were able to help us make that dream become a reality. We ordered porcelain tile that looks like real wood floors. We are so impressed with the zero maintenance aspect of porcelain tile. No more pet stains. We noticed that our household allergies are gone now. If one of the animals has an accident, it wipes right up. We only need to use a mop and water to clean up any spills, and the floors are back to looking brand new again. We bought a fixer upper and needed new flooring. We walked in to My Flooring America in Flower Mound and met Dee. She helped us stay within our budget and yet pick out flooring that we loved. She brought samples of what we had chosen in the shop to our house the following week. Her design I helped us find the flooring it went with our Color scheme and overall design. She even recommended not doing a particular bathroom right now which helped our budget. The workers were on time, professional, neat, and did a great job. I wish I had read these reviews before trying to do business here. I went to the store in Flower Mound because I wanted to support a family owned business. I took in the measurements of the two rooms I wanted to have wood flooring placed. After looking at samples I picked out about four that I wanted a quote for. I was told by the salesperson (I know his name but don't want to mention it here) that he couldn't give a quote that he needed to come out and measure himself. I asked if he could give a rough estimate. He said he needed to come measure. I told him I would call him when I was ready for this. I left the store that day with my measurements in hand thinking what a pain it would be to have to then make an appointment for him to come out and get the same measurements I just took in to him . I went back again about two months later because I had been very busy and I wanted to make sure I still wanted the four samples I had narrowed it down to before. I asked if I could take the samples to my house and make sure those were the ones that would fit best. I was told that I could not take samples to my house. By the way, this was the same salesperson I dealt with before. I still wanted to do business with a family run store. I was then told once again I couldn't take samples to my house and I couldn't get a rough estimate. He asked me if he could make an appointment for a time my husband would be there. I explained to him that my husband works 16 hours a day and has Friday evenings and Saturdays off and I don't think he would want to spend his valuable time looking at floor samples. He kept pushing the issue about wanting my husband to be there. I finally told him he could come to the house and take his own measurements but my husband would not be there. He showed up a few days later to take the measurements. after he took the measurements I asked him what the estimate was. He then said he couldn't tell me because he didn't bring the price of one of the samples.... He then said he would need to make an appointment for when my husband was able to come to the store in order to give an estimate. I then thought this was the most sexist and misogynistic person I had ever met. I didn't let him know that I own a business and that over my 50 some years I have developed and sold several businesses. . He then asked what our budget was and since I had not even (after several visits to the store and attempts and even at that point after he took measurements at my house) received even a ballpark/rough estimate, I gave him a low figure . He then laughed and said he couldn't even give me carpet for that. I asked what price range the samples were in and he said he would have to take everything back to the store and have an appointment back at the store when my husband could be there. At that point I was fed up and I started placing the samples outside my front door and asked if he could call me after he gets an estimate together. The sexist then left. I then received a call about a week later from him. I asked if he had an estimate. He then said he was calling to see if he could set up an appointment for a time my husband could be present at the store . I told him my husband would not be present and he would have to deal with me . I asked if he could give me the estimate over the phone so I wouldnt have to drive out there for a third time and then I could make a decision. He said that their business doesn't do that. I told him I had owned several houses, even owned apartments / multifamily dwellings and had remodeled renovated, built etc. many times and I have never experienced this type of behavior to get an estimate for a job. I asked once again, you are telling me after all of this you will still not give me an estimate. He said their business doesn't do that over the phone and I would have to make an appointment to come in. I then finally after trying very hard to give a local family owned place my business told him I was just going to move on. read more

We have been very pleased with our flooring that we purchased. We did hardwood in our entryway, dining room, living room and hallway, and we put new carpet in the bedrooms. From the very beginning, Kent was extremely helpful and understanding of our budget. He worked with us to make sure we got everything we wanted at an excellent price! Both the installers for the hardwood and carpet were awesome! They did such a great job with the install and making it look like the house was built around the hardwood. I have been shopping for hardwoods for a month and wanted to see what this company has to offer. Want 1200 sf hardwood and 100 tile. They had a sale that ends today so I asked the sales person/designer to borrow a sample of that floor that they have installed on site . Their response was that's it . When I suggested that it would look different in my house and I wanted to see it in the lighting there, they said the only way I could do it was to have them come in and measure my house and bring samples out. Not sure how that was going to happen and still purchase the flooring for the sale price that ended in four hours . Also other flooring companies have given or loaned me samples and this is the only time someone insisted that they come out before I'm allowed to see their's in my home . When I explained that they were the first to deny my request for a sample they said that's just what we do here . Also when I told them my price range maxed out about 650 a where foot and all I wanted to purchase was the flooring they seem to lose interest. Unless you're looking to pay a premium to have a designer come out to sell, install and design then you probably want to go somewhere else. Also they have only a few of the major floor lines and most of what they sell or their own manufactured lines. read more
