From the beginning when I walked through Dungans front door our experience has been excellent!! Their floor samples are large and that makes it so much easier to visualize it inside your home. They have adorable pricing. The walkthrough estimate was easy. When we scheduled they were booked a month out, we had out entire home refloored (literally, everything) and it took 4 days. Gilbert and his crew Sain and Lenin, were AWESOME. He walked in and explained how everything would work, he was very informative of what to expect during the process and the dust. During the installation he showed me how the floor gets inserted and answered all my questions. He saw a drawer where we put our silverware was broken and fixed it in 5 min, (that drawer has been broken for over 2 years) after every day he talks to us, shows us what they've done, and helps us plan and prepare for the next day. Overall, Gilbert and his crew have been wonderful. We are truly grateful and appreciative. 20 out of 10 recommend Dungans flooring!!!! read more

My wife and I recently purchased carpeting for our home from Dungan's Floors. We are very dissapointed with the carpet that was installed. We made our choice from a group of samples about 4" x 4" in size. We could not have envisioned how DIFFERENT THE CARPET WOULD LOOK when installed in an actual room. Obtrusive footprint marks, unforseable color variations; the CARPET LOOKS HORRIBLE. Dungan's Floors states the carpet we chose is the carpet installed. They also claim they are working with the manufacturer to see what can be done but it has been over one month since installation and it's obvious we are stuck with this carpet. Every day we are reminded of the terrible decision we made buying carpet from Dungan's Floors. read more

I chose Dungan's because Shaw Flooring opened a warranty claim on behalf of Flooring Services in The Colony without my knowledge. Shaw stated they'll pay for the hardwood and labor(paying Dungan's to do the installation). Dungan's came out September 11th-15th 2023. Gilbert the supervisor of the installers like another comment stated, threw his cigarettes in my yard and in the street. I'm a non smoker and had to clean up this mess, unacceptable. I was at the house every day checking the progess. On September 15th, when I got a text stating they were done, I got to the house and 2 other guys were there (as well as the 2 that's were there since day 1. Gilbert has to go to El Paso). Entering my house, there was a strong odor and I was told it was because of them saturating my 1,300sq feet of hardwood with mineral spirits. I had to open up every window. They left my hardwood complete mess, white film all over it, dullness, and the hardwood was so dry. There were cracks all in my hardwood, splits, etc. Contacted Shaw first thing September 18th and told them. Had to have the windows open 24/7 for those 3 days to ventilate the house because the toxic vapor was so strong. Shaw had an inspector come out Sept 21st who indicated that there was an odor associated with solvents like mineral spirits and it bothered them as well. While dealing with that, I had scuff marks on my walls from Dungan's installers. My house is 2 years old and even had the builder out who had painters out before painting prior to Dungan's, so there's scuff marks came from Dungan's installers. After Shaw finally agreed to replace the floors (going on a 3rd set of floors), Dungan's came out December 11th (3 months later and living with toxic vapors, windows up 24/7 for 3 months). The smell caused my mother, myself, and cats to get sick, throat irritation, watery eyes, nose bleeds, etc. We even contact Bare; manufacturer of mineral spirits that stated Dungan's should've NEVER used that much on hardwood floors. Tony, the owner for 3 months denied the smell was his installers fault. So on December 11th, the installers ripped up 3 boards and immediately called Tony. Come to find out, the hardwood was keeping the poisonous vapors locked in place (tho it was coming through the gaps, etc..the hardwood itself kept the vapors intact. After they lifted 3 boards, the vapors were released. Tony, he tried to claim it was Shaw's 3 N 1 Adhesive. The smell was so horrible and strong, the windows were open and my neighbors could smell it inside their house and across the street outside. It was so strong, we had the Fire Department and Police department out. The fire department even turned off our gas in cause it was flammable. Could you imagine if my house blew up because of this? Tony contacted Shaw as well as I did. Shaw sent an inspector December 12th. That inspector, well he was focused on the adhesive, getting all the details from us, the fact my hardwood floors were saturated in mineral spirits, etc. The inspector, he spent 40mins in my house, got nauseous from the vapors, started coughing, going outside to get fresh air, etc. The next day, Shaw informed us that my house is unsafe to be inside. I then got quotes from Dalworth to clean the toxic vapors out of the air, walls, rugs, couches, the concrete subfloor, and air ducts. Meanwhile, Dungan's installers took a lawn blower and blew all that saw dust, all the toxic vapors, etc inside my house. It got in the vents,cabinets, showers, on dishes, etc. After Dalworth did 1 of 4 cleaning, Dungan's came back to finish the job. Shaw informed me without sending the official inspection report, that the mineral spirits that was used by Dungan's installers caused a chemical reaction exposure inside my house and thus Dungan's was responsible for the vapors inside my house. The homeowners, we had to live with that for 3 months, having health issues, multiple trips to the doctors, respiratory issues, and concerned for long term effects. Dunagan finished my floors on December 28th. There's still a smell, my couches were contaminated, my walls are filthy, my rugs are ruined, and Shaw nor Dungan's wants to fix the chemical reaction exposure inside my house. Dungans did a fantastic job. No surprises and the crew was awesome. They did everything they said they would do for the price we agreed upon. Notes: -The job was on schedule -The crew (Jonathan) showed up on time and cleaned up every day -The Floors & Stairs look great -Even when I pointed out minor things, they fixed it with no arguments. -Everyone did exactly what they said they would do (What more do you want?) Word of advice, I initially went with another company who was the cheaper bid and things when south very quickly (shady). I knew about Dungans reputation so I called them up. Same day quote. They use day laborers who don't know anything about floor installation, just need something to do. Lonnie promises the world while you're in the store. She ignores calls when installation is going poorly and refers you to hubby Lou, who is too busy playing golf. These two suck. read more

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and trying to do some of the work ourselves. We went to dal tile to look at tile for the backsplash. Daltile only sells tile to contractors but we can buy the tile from a distributor. So we went to a local company close to our house which was Dungans floor and carpet on Virginia in McKinney. We were greeted by a nice lady that tried to help us but didn't know prices. So the owner Linnie of dungans showed up and gave us prices of the tile we had samples of from daltile. So we had her order the tile and she said the tile would be available for us to pick up at daltile in Plano in a couple of days. The next day she called and said the tile is on back order and will take 3 weeks. We were disappointed but waited. 3 weeks came and she never called us. We called her and said the tile is at daltile. Daltile is a another nightmare. We picked up half the tile because half was still on backorder. Daltile finally received the rest of the tile and Linnie at Dungans didn't care how much trouble we were having nor did she return our calls. Finally my husband spoke to her about a refund daltile was suppose to give her and then she was suppose to give us for broken tile and she said it wasn't her problem and she didn't need to give us customer service. My husband asked her if she made any profit from our order And she said yes. Now tell me why doesn't she think we deserve customer service? She treated us as if we didn't order 6 hundred dollars worth of tile from her company. How stupid of her to not realize that we are remodling our house not just the kitchen and may have used her company again. Now all we want to do is tell anyone and everyone we know not to use Dungans for anything. The worst company and rudest person my husband and I have ever encountered. Run far away from Dungans and never look back if you want customer service and pleasant people to work with after they take your money. Never never again and I do not get Linnie treats her customers as she did us. read more

We had engineered hard wood floors installed in Fall of 2012 by Dungan's. Customer service is great. This is a family company and the owners are knowledgeable and friendly. Floors are beautiful. We are going to have them replace our carpet also. I've used Dungan's and so have friends. Highly recommend. read more

We have always had great service from Dungan's and our last carpet installation was no different. We have had carpet installed in 3 different rooms in our house on 3 separate occasions and they have always been fantastic to work with. Their customer service is great, their selections are large (especially for carpet), the pricing is good and the installation is clean and professional. The couple that own this place lie, and are unapologetic about it. Spent lots of time, lots of money and wound up with lots of headaches. Had to pay even more to get someone else to tear out what their installers did and do it right. In this economy they simply don't deserve to be in business. read more

Our bigget regret of 2011 was using Dungan's. Their installers did a poor job, and worse, damaged our furniture moving it and even helped themselves to a few things while we were away at work. Linnie refused to address anything other than collecting the balance due. Lou wanted us to work things out with the installers rather than trying to get things resolved himself. Problem was, we clearly didn't trust the installers, especially when they told us they weren't going to make any money for a week's work once everything was corrected. Having another crew make things right wasn't an option. With the cost to make things right in excess of what we had paid, Lou would only offer a free rug to cover the poor work, or our next job at cost (like we ever intend to use them again!). We considered small claims court to get our deposit back, but just decided to hire another company that stands behind their work to do it over. Life's too short to deal with dishonest people like Dungan's. read more

The owners seem like nice folks, but the installers they assigned to our job were people we should have never let in our house. They damaged the furniture and stole from us. The owners told us we could trust them completely while away at work, but don't. When the job wasn't done right and the owners refused to get another trained installer to do it right (maybe they don't have any), we each had to take vacation days to stay home and watch them. The installers constantly complained about the Jenkins not paying them enough and were bitter and rude. Lou the owner couldn't leave the golf course to come over, and we doubt he'd have been any value if he did. We wound up getting another company with professional, courteous, trained installers and a responsive supervisor to tear out the horrible Dungans job and do it all over. Miraculously, they could do and did everything that Lou and his miserable installers swore just couldn't be done. What a pathetic, miserable company. read more
