They want 2x original cost to fix the defective product they sold and installed ---------------------------------- WITH REGARDS TO TIM HOGANS RESPONSE: Your response reinforces exactly what I stated: your position is essentially "not my problem." This comes after selling and installing a floor that has proven not fit for purpose, deteriorating visibly within six months under normal residential use. At no point during the sales or installation process was I provided with care guidance or manufacturers written materials. The only instruction I received--after I proactively asked Penny post-final payment--was to use Bona cleaner, avoid water, and not use a Swiffer. Nothing more. There was no disclosure that: * Furniture or rugs could cause extensive damage * Normal light exposure would result in almost immediate visible fading * The product required highly restrictive or atypical living conditions (the need to choose between furniture or natural light) If these limitations are inherent to the product, then a reasonable expectation is that they would be clearly communicated before purchase, not discovered after failure. If this outcome truly meets your standards--and the manufacturer's--then the lack of disclosure at the point of sale is even more concerning. At this stage, the issue is not just the product failure--it is the complete absence of any effort to inspect, engage, or propose a solution. To date: zero accountability, zero assistance.
