MyGym La Jolla has become one of our favorite go to spots with our twin toddlers!! lets see there is not a single day when our girls do not sing the hihi mygym welcome song - they know it VERY well. I love how welcoming the staff is with parents and kids, the facility is always in pristine condition... I know I know, if you go soo much, doesn't it get old after a while??? IT DOES NOT... every time we go, the room is set up differently, which makes it like going for the very first time! ... Wow what an amazing birthday experience! My daughter just turned 4 and we were looking for a large venue to accommodate our party. We had 24 kids and 20 adults. My Gym was perfect. They have the perfect mix of group activities and free play time. Plenty of space and experiences for the kids. Ball pit, zip line, play houses, trampoline, and so much more. They provided place settings, decor, juice, and pizza for the kids. They allowed us to bring outside food for the adults as well. Amazing value for the price. This review has been a long time coming! My daughter is 4 years old, and we have been coming to MyGym in UTC several times a week for about a year and a half. From gymsters, to terrific tots, to preschool gymnastics and ninja jr classes, this gym's curriculum and loving and supportive environment has played a huge impact in my daughter's gross motor development and confidence. I think that what truly sets this gym apart is the owner, Margie's, ability to identify and hire the absolute best trainers. Each trainer is uniquely gifted at working with and training children. My daughter is a sensitive soul, and I am so amazed at how well each trainer has bonded with her, and was able to teach her new skills after a trusting and friendly relationship was developed. She has made so many new friends through the classes at MyGym, and it's become like a second home to us. Yesterday, we hosted two separate parties for her fourth birthday at MyGym, and our daughter had the absolute best time. Alex and Kennidy worked so hard and so well, and I was once again blown away at their ability to entertain a large crowd of kids. They did a great job decorating and setting everything up for the parties and were so flexible and accommodating. All of the kids and parents had so much fun, and I was able to enjoy and appreciate it all without any stress. I know that this event will be a core memory for her and for me as well. My little and I love My Gym! She's always asking to go and I love that they switch up their focuses every week. They also move their gym furniture around every week so it's great for discovering new ways to play. This place was super fun for my twin 14 month old toddlers who were here for a friend's birthday party. The twins had been walking just about 2-3 weeks so they had a blast exploring the big space, climbing on all the ply structures, going down the slides, and enjoying the birthday activities. The staff were super friendly and engaging. The rotated different activities and toys every 15-20 minutes so there was always something novel going on to captivate the kids' interests. What was especially cool was when they rigged up a little "Zipline" and zipped each kid back and forth. Overall, a clean, fun place to get the wiggles out of little ones. read more

My husband and I take our daughter to My Gym La Jolla 2-3x a week. We've been attending for over a few months now and we absolutely love the community! Management and staff is great and very accommodating. All the children love coming and it's so reassuring to see how experienced they are with each child and helping parents come together while also educating on what each child needs at their own individual developmental stages. - Masks are required and sanitation practices are very thorough. -Detail is everything to me so it has been very reassuring that each time we have attended, everything is sanitized before and after each play group. - We also appreciate how each class is designed safely to accommodate each play group based on ages and milestones. My 2 yr old daughter has been enrolled for the past 10 months and she loves it. She started in the waddlers class and has grown so much with her confidence, climbing, and interacting with the teachers. Over the summer I enrolled my 4 year old when he had a break between preschool and TK but he's loved it so much that I've kept him in and they now go multiple times a week after school. It's a great way for him to get out all his energy. They have a siblings and friends class which makes it easy to bring both of my kids. We recently switched from gymboree to MyGym. This was one of the best things we could have done for our almost 2 year old. In just 3 classes he has learned SO much. He's doing forward rolls and has a lot more balance. He still gets socialization. The independent play is an awesome concept. Separation anxiety starts around this age and this teaches them to be more independent! We love his teachers for Monday and Thursday class. Every teacher we've met has been absolutely amazing! They are on top of it with smiles chasing the kids around and keeping them safe! We didn't have this kind of leave of mind at gymboree. The classes are never over filled and the kids all get the attention they want! If you're on the fence, do it! They also offer a military discount which we are so grateful for! read more

My son and I used to attend the My Gym location in Poway with our friends when I wasn't working and we loved it so much, I realized we have an even closer location to us near University City/La Jolla. When my son was at his preschool, this location would visit each week and help the kids break up their day after naptime which was my son's favorite extracurricular activity. As my son was nearing his 5th birthday, I knew we had to do something big to celebrate and my first inclination was to have his party at My Gym. Boy were we in for a surprise... the event was everything we hoped it would be and more. I made sure to go with the premium package to allow me some room to breathe and visit with guests which involved the staff providing the cake cutting/serving, purchase of plates/napkins/utencils, and theme of our choice (Spiderman) which the staff mastered. Ms. Stephanie reached out to me to get everything situated ahead of time and Ms. Margie, the owner, was there to help us all have an amazing time as well. We even added on an extra half hour rather than the 1.5 allotted time because I knew the kids would want to be there as long as possible and some would not arrive on time when the party started. I highly recommend checking out My Gym not only for their weekly classes but for their incredible parties and planning services offered. This gym is awesome. I went with a 2 week trial to check it out. My kiddos (5 and 2) attended the siblings class and both of them had a blast! It was a perfect blend of group activity and free play. The place was super clean, had just enough stuff to interact with and didn't feel cluttered and busy like other indoor gyms I've been to. The staff was super sweet and even greeted us (and what seemed to be the regulars) by name. The hour flew but felt like a good amount of time too. My kiddos loved it so much they asked when they could come back as soon as we got in the car. Totally plan to come back! read more

I had the most unpleasant experience for my daughter's birthday at this place. They gave us 1:30-3 pm time slot ( which is less than typical parties at other places, especially for a high price $675 if felt too short), our guests had a hard time finding the place since its confusing location underground, most of them arrived around 2, the staff indicated they usually do one hour of games then 30 min for food and cake, at 2:30 they had the kids exit the play area for food, most kids finished eating in 10-15 min and wanted to go back to play but the staff didn't allow it even if the kids washed and sanitizer hands. They never communicated that in advance, and our guests started leaving unhappy. Basically it was a 45 min birthday party, and we were rushed to leave exactly 3 ,while still collecting stuff and gifts, because they needed to get the place ready for another party that starts in 15 min ( seriously! Back to back parties ) Basically you are allowed to be present there for your child party for 90 min including the set up and clean up. We felt Very disappointed and embarrassed, I will never go back neither recommend the place to anyone. read more
