Lastly, my favorite was the carrot hazelnut cake with cashew cream, topped with blueberries and a gooseberry. We ordered the Salzburger Nockerl - the cafe's famous dessert. It is a dessert made of whipped egg whites, cooked cranberries, and tons of sugar. The texture was interesting. The sweetness level was excessive. It was not one of our favourite desserts. We have concluded that this dessert is a tourist trap. Get the apfelstrudel!
