I think it's a safe option for simple quartz battery replacement or external watch cleaning and polishing I had some more involved watchmaker work done and was the results were so so. Every time I called was told the rings had been cast but were not yet finished. Even went into the location to try and follow up and was met with the same answer. I was really hoping that I wouldn't be put in the position to leave a negative review for a small local business. I was told by them that they are skilled enough to work on high end watches. After taking my watch for a simple battery change it no longer timed correctly. After taking it back for correction it is now in worse shape with literally damage & the owner Jeff feels zero responsibility for the current state of my watch. Bottom line I know in my gut had I not walked thru that door but went to someplace like Ben Bridge or Tiffany's my watch would be working fine. So if u have a precious sentimental piece I would steer clear of this small business. They really aren't capable & obviously don't have the financial means to correct their mistakes. read more

I contacted my jewelers for a quote to resize my ring through yelp. Chad responded within 15 minutes. The price was very reasonable. I brought my ring in yesterday. I dont usually wear rings due to the fact that I have skinny baby fingers and most stock rings dont fit me. My jewelers sized my finger and made sure the ring would fit correctly. They resized it within 24 hours. My ring has a simple plain band so it may take longer with other rings depending on the complexity. They did a good job resizing the ring. They have a pretty good selection of jewelry. Everyone was very helpful and they did have a good sense of humor. read more

Devastated. My husband brought in my wedding ring (which had been crushed) and was assured they could repair it. He was quoted $195. Not only did it take a week longer to repair than they said, I cried when I first saw it. They had admitted to him that they hadn't been able to get the setting aligned around the center stone. My beautiful ring...is lopsided. Not only that, the feature diamond is chipped on the edge and it hasn't even been attempted to be hidden by a prong. The decorative gold beading pattern around the halo looks slightly worn away in places (not due to my wear mind you, I have photos of the ring before taking it in [besides that, I had only worn the ring for nine months]). The under gallery of the ring is not smooth anymore, it looks like they took some sort of microsander to it in random places. It looks rough. I feel badly that my rube of a husband paid and left the store with it. If this repair was beyond their jeweler's skill level, I wish they had let my husband know. We are now sending the ring in to our original jeweler back in Kansas City. My recommendation: go to My Jewelers for resizing and simple repairs, but DO NOT trust them when you need fine craftsmanship work done. read more

I've been searching for a local jewelry store between Vancouver and West Linn to resize my engagement ring. I came across many jewelers on Yelp and requested quotes via message. A lot of places didn't get back to me and those that did requested that I bring in my ring to be examined or provided an estimate upwards of $85+. An additional "rush" fee of $25 and it would be completed in three to five days. Chad was very quick at answering any questions and was very patient. Providing a short description of my engagement ring and it needing to be sized down, I received a quick response within an hour as well as an accurate estimate. My engagement ring costed less than $30 to get resized and they did an outstanding job! There was no sign of where it was resized and they had even cleaned and polished my ring! It looked as new and sparkly as the day my fiancé proposed. On top of the wonderful service the turnaround time was very quick! Chad had mentioned that the resize could be done by the end of the day if I was able to drop it off that morning but I went with the times that worked for me. I dropped off my ring after work around 4:00PM and picked it up the following afternoon around 2:00PM. In summation, I would definitely come back to My Jewelers if I needed anything. This family owned shop is welcoming, priced well, and the turnaround time is exceptional. read more

I took a Italian Gucci ring in to see if they could size it. There is a lot of detail and art on the outside of the ring. The inside has a lot of written and also metal type and purity level. They were able to size the ring without disturbing any of the writing on the inside and they carved existing art into the new silver that was soldered. My wife and I have bought several pieces of jewelry from Joe and his store, as well as having repairs made to some of my wife's older jewelry. The prices are always very good and the work is excellent. Recently, I brought in a watch for gasket service and battery replacement. It is a nice watch that I'm fond of, but some time after getting it back from the store we had a downpour that caused our outside storm drain to clog. I cleared the debris, unaware of submerging my watch. When I returned inside, it had water inside. I occasionally repair old ship clocks and have some familiarity with watches, so I removed the back to discover the gasket had not been replaced, and in fact, was cracked and cemented in place. I stewed about it for some time, and eventually returned to My Jewelers with the entire mess in a baggie. They were very apologetic, and promised to send it to a different watchmaker for repair. I offered to pay, since the watchmaker was apparently at fault and not their store, but they would not hear of it. Long story short, the other watchmaker needed some time to track down parts for this old watch, and it was returned to me in perfect running condition. These are the people you want to do business with. Old school. Honest, responsible, and more than fair both in service and price. Highest recommendation! read more

I brought my engagement ring in around 10:30am to be resized and was not expecting for it to be completed for at least a day. I shared my concern about going a full size smaller and I didn't think a half size would be enough. Joe suggested a quarter size (going down 3/4 in size) and I felt comfortable with that. I left feeling like my ring was in good hands but also a little anxious and sad because I knew I would not be able to pick up my ring for at least four days due to other commitments. I got a call at 3:40pm the same day that my ring had been resized and was ready to be picked up! I was ecstatic! Not only did Joe beautifully resize my ring to the perfect size but it was also cleaned and polished to the sparkle it had when my fiancé proposed to me a year ago! I had 3 rings missing diamonds and in need of repair. WOW, was I pleasantly surprised, that it was less than 1/2 the cost of another well known Jeweler in our area. The other Jeweler was replacing the stones with cz (to keep it affordable) My Jewelers replaced the stones with diamonds in addition I added a ring to have sized down that I was quoted $50.00 to $70.00 from the other jeweler. The repair service is fantastic here! I received a 14K gold chain from my husband for Christmas and two days later the chain broke when I was trying to take my sweater off. Macy's would not repair the chain even though my husband bought it there two days ago, so I took my chain to "My Jeweler" on Main. They told me it would cost $12.75 to fix the chain and that it would be ready for me the next day. Their service is fast and they're so polite. I picked up my chain today and I couldn't tell where my necklace was broken. It's as good as new now. I hope "My Jeweler" is around forever! read more

Just today hubby picked up my vintage diamond ring that needed repair. It has a specialized expandable ring shank by Fingermate, which broke. They not only cleaned and polished the ring, the shank has a lifetime warranty and so the repair was done for free. I couldn't be more pleased! Was not expecting this wonderful customer service. My platinum, 11 year old wedding ring was ready for an update as the prongs were worn and covering almost a 1/3 of my 1 carat diamond. I had been to two other jewelers, one who called it 'blobby and ugly' and said the custom designer of the ring should be shot....ummmm, this is my wedding ring you are talking about.... and said, "it wasn't his fault if the diamond was banged up after he re-built the prongs". All for 225 dollars. No thank you. Another jeweler did not even show his face, just let the sales lady give me the quote. Walked into My jeweler and immediately felt I was in the right place. Professional, polite, and prompt. Told me it was actually a natural process of platinum to spread like it had and he would try to simply 'trim' the prongs for only 25 DOLLARS!!!! or if he had to rebuild it after seeing if there was enough platinum or not, it would cost $210. I told him to go ahead and do whatever it took to make the ring look like it should. The next day he called and said he was able to trim the prongs and I probably had at least 5 years left before the prongs needed to be rebuilt. Makes me even angrier at the other two jewelers I talked to and even more thankful for this honest, quality jeweler. I picked up my ring today and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! He did amazing work and polished it like new. I could not be more pleased and thankful for such a great company to be in Vancouver. My wife took my wedding band in to have two smaller diamonds added on either side of the center stone. Should have been an easy task. Work started on 11/25. My wife picked up the ring on 12/2. She noticed a problem with the alignment of the stones but didn't say anything. When I got it I noticed it right away without my glasses on. The work was very poorly done as the alignment wasn't even close. She took the ring back to be repaired and was told the work would be completed 12/9. On 12/9 my wife called and was told the ring would be ready 12/15 but no later then 12/16. Now I understand with the holidays things can get busy. 12/16 turned into 12/17. On 12/18 I went back in and again was told the ring will be done tomorrow. That's when I stated that I would be picking up my ring tomorrow! An hour later my Wife received a call that the ring was done. When I went back in I ask the Jeweler, Why as a professional, when you knew that the work that you performed was not your best work was it sent out as done? The Jeweler stated, He waited for a reaction to see if my wife noticed that the stones were horribly misaligned and when she said nothing We figured she doesn't notice let it go. My wife went there on her Mothers recommendation that this was a Jeweler that had a very good reputation. I understand That mistakes happen and you don't get it right 100% of the time, but as a PROFESSIONAL who cares about there Reputation and has a long time standing in the community should have told my wife-look we're not happy with the way your ring turned out, give us some more time and we'll make it right. Its obvious that there Quality of work means nothing to them. If you have a piece that is very special and want the work done right there are better Jewelers who care about there reputations and will not return your jewelry until it is done to there standards of expertize. read more
