    Subaru Outback 2025

We read reviews about this place and was concerned going here but I have to say the experience so far has been fantastic. Zack S. Came out as my wife and we're looking out 3 rd time there first when they were open he came out asked if he could help told him up front we were there to test drive Outback and a Forester and were then going to test drive a Mazda before making a decision. ZACK was not pushy. We test drove both vehicles asked him some questions. He answered them with detail, and my wife said we didn't need to test drive the Mazda. She wanted the Outback. Our timing was limited to close the deal and he worked with us to make it fit within our timeframe. The facility is spacious and busy. They pointed out all the options available, but never pressured to buy them. This is an overall great experience for purchasing a car and if anything changes, I'll come back to update. Can't trust reviews all the time as many post only when bad or if there are a lot of bad reviews with my experience so far my opinion is to give the. A try

worst ever. scheduled tire rotation and oil change. Drove 45 min to dealer, oill change sticker (applied by dealer) says 15000 or 11/30/23. Tire rotation due at 11,700. They didn't do either. Basically lost 2 hrs of my life. Salesman was a joke. Knew nothing about the vehicle. Looked everything up in manual. Just a bad choice of mine to buy from this dealer. I will never do business with them again. I hope you can learn from my mistake.

I met or was introduced to almost everyone, which was appreciated. I made it clear I lived out of town, but their hospitality and professionalism made the process so easy. I drove up in four hours, and was provided a detailed tour of my new car. Features, technology and key safety items. They really were car guys and girls and loved the care and maintenance I had performed on my own car. This, a stark contrast to the local dealer in Indy. The dealership shared space with four other makes; Audi, VW, Nissan and Hyundai. The facilities were clean, and staffed with smiling and courteous people. I might have a new place for my future Audi purchases!

Being a young single woman I wanted to make sure I was buying something dependable because let's face it, After saving for months to have a down payment I wouldn't have money for immediate repairs. I learned that this particular year is known for transmission issues so I contacted my salesman, Austin Smith, and he encouraged me to come in to discuss these concerns. He provided me a Carfax report as proof that the car didn't have a history of transmission problems. Being a first time buyer I was very naïve to the fact that Carfax won't reflect damages or repairs that weren't reported to insurance companies. Austin went a step further and assured me that the Audi dealership put in a new transmission. This was the only reason I was comfortable buying this car. I was still apprehensive and so Austin went a step further and asked a few other dealership staff and they confirmed that the transmission had been replaced. Had this been the end of my inquiries I might've been able to chalk this up to a newer sales guy just trying to make a sale even when he didn't really know what he was talking about. However, I was still apprehensive... So before signing any papers papers, Alex the sales manager was brought in to close me on payment (you know how car dealerships work) and he straight out told me to my face that this car had a "replaced "transmission and that I could buy with confidence. Jump ahead 5 months later and my car is having transmission issues. I Reached out to my sales person first, but of course Austin Smith is no longer with the dealership. So I took it to my local Ford dealer and paid $130 I didn't have for an inspection. Guess what? Transmission had never been touched or replaced and was original to the car. If it had just been the salesman that lied to me I could chalk that up to typical car salesman behavior, not that all car salesmen are like that, but let's face it some are. What I can't wrap my head around is the fact that the sales manager lied directly to my face, a 23 year old girl, just to make the sale. I hate playing the girl card here because it makes my gender sound weak and naïve, which is not the case. But let's face it, most females are not knowledgeable in automotive repair. So when we have Multiple people in the dealership, including the leadership team, telling us that something was done all we can do is trust them. It appears that is not the case with this dealership. This review is not necessarily an attempt to drag the dealership through the mud but more importantly to make anyone in my situation thoroughly aware that they will tell you anything they think you want or need to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line! And more importantly, they couldn't care less that now my "new to me car" is now inoperable for the very thing they told me they had fixed. So please use extreme caution when contemplating a purchase from this dealership because it could cost you big in the long run!

The first offer was made to buy the car, which I asked for an appraisal as we didn't know what we were looking at for repairs and wanted to know our options. We were told we were looking at 10 hours of diagnostics, understandable as we had brought it to a local shop and they had become stomped after a few repairs and recommended a toyota dealership to fully fix it. I made it clear this was our everyday car so we would need it back asap but understand things can take time. I made multiple attempts over multiple days to contact our technician Brenden (phone calls, voicemails, and texts) and was ignored. Thursday July 2nd diagnosed as being the brake actuator, was told that it was possible that wasn't the issue for 2k and told it would take a week or so to get the part in. Looked into potentially selling the car and was contacted to sell it but after what they offered and looking at the current car market we decided to keep it and go forward with repairs and suddenly they could mark the part as critical to get it in sooner. I was called Tuesday July 7th saying the part was in and the car should be done by the end of the week. I was contacted Thursday July 9th trying to buy the car again while at work. Contacted twice Friday July 10th to buy the car and told my rav4 was desirable to grow their used car lot, once again while I was at work. At this point there was still no word on repairs. On monday July 13 I sent our tech Brennan a frustrated text that morning in which he called me shortly after saying they got the part in the car on Friday and it fixed some codes but some were remaining and that they were in the process of taking the steering wheel angle sensor out to test it but if we needed a new one that they could ship it overnight. I asked for the cost for that part and was ignored. Sent a follow up text Tuesday morning on if they had any updates on the car and was ignored again. Text again Wednesday and nothing until I called and demanded answers. They said we would have a final quote Thursday at noon and offered a minimal discount off the total service. Noon came and went without any word and have tried contacting them multiple times with no answer. Finally got a hold of them and they said they would overnight the part and have it in by 9 am and that he would communicate with me when it arrived. 9 came and went and I text him and the part had arrived but they guaranteed my car would be done on Friday July 17th by 5pm. I text my tech at 4pm letting him know to keep me updated as we live an hour away and I didn't want to drive all the way there if something happened. 5pm came and went with no answer until we called them. Apparently the part was a "dud" and they missed the overnight shipping by a "half hour" and now will not have the part until Tuesday morning. As of Friday July 17th they have had my car for 3 weeks. I know a decent amount about car repairs and diagnosis does not take an entire week (they themselves even said 10 hours and are open for service 6 days a week with most days being from 7:30-7), or testing a single part does not take multiple days on end. At this point this feels intentional and sleazy because they have made it abundantly clear they want to buy my car from me and all I want is clear communication on what is happening. The Muskegon toyota dealership is under the my auto imports umbrella that own the muskegon toyota, muskegon nissan, my lakeshore subaru in nunica, my grand rapids mitsubishi and I know I will never be doing business with any of those places ever again and I advise others to do the same and avoid the headache I have dealt with. I wish I would have taken my car to the toyota dealership in Traverse City as it feels like its being held hostage.

I'm treated with respect and my budget is given a high priority. I always have a great experience with Tom at Preferred Chrysler in Muskegon! **Pros: There are many, many vehicles to choose from in a multitude of price ranges. Tom goes through some of the pros and cons of each choice before going out to the lot to view them - this gave me the chance to really think about my options before getting distracted by "the pretty red one!" My opinion and budget matter, and Tom finds cars to fit my needs rather than trying to adjust my needs to fit a car. **Cons: There are lots of cars to choose from! Sometimes the decision isn't easy because they're all great choices! Plus, I don't like car shopping - but that isn't Tom's fault. At least he makes it less painful! **The Review: I bought a car from Tom last May (2014), a Chrysler 200, and have been absolutely pleased with that car. Going into the dealership, I had no idea what I was looking for - I just knew I wanted something good on gas. Tom asked me about my kids, driving habits, features I liked in a car, that sort of thing. We talked about a couple different options, and I ended up test-driving only one car - the Chrysler 200. And I bought it that day! It was the perfect car for me and my family and I absolutely fell in love with it! Two weeks ago, October 2014, I was involved in a roll-over car accident and the insurance company totaled my perfect Chrysler 200. Luckily everyone involved walked away from the accident with only a few bruises! So, after only four months, I had to do the dreaded car shopping again! First, I went to a couple different car lots in the area. The first salesman tried to sell me a Toyota Camry. It was a nice car, just not what I was looking for. He then tried to sell me three more Toyota Camrys, all basically the same with just a few minor features that were different. The second car lot wanted me to lease a new Chevy Cruze. A great car, but I live way out in the country and drive entirely too many miles for a lease to be a good deal for me. Even so, the salesman was stuck on that. Failing that, he tried to get me to buy a Chevy Cruze - the only other car he showed me was a used 2009 Malibu. I'm sure it was a great car, but I wanted something newer and with a warranty. After those two experiences, I went back to Tom at Preferred Chrysler. He seemed genuinely concerned when I told him about the car crash and made sure everyone involved was okay. He then seemed surprised when I said "I need to buy a new car." I was thankful he didn't jump right in at the opportunity to sell me a new car based on my misfortune, rather he waited until I brought it up. Tom showed me several cars online, and I made the poor guy get the keys and let me test drive seven or eight different cars that day - in the pouring rain. I ended up deciding on a Mazda 6 - which is a great car. But, in the end, I decided I really missed my Chrysler 200. There were two very similar to my "old" car - the one I had just bought back in May - and I made the decision to return the Mazda and buy a Chrysler 200. It's been a few weeks and I am so very pleased with my Chrysler 200! It feels good, drives good, and I know it will keep me and my family safe if we're ever in a bad accident! The best part is, through the entire "shopping" process, Tom listened to me whine about how much I liked this or that about my old car and how this new one wasn't quite the same. Tom just smiled through it all, treated me with respect, and somehow managed to get my payments cheaper than they were before! I don't think I'll ever shop at another dealership - Preferred Chrysler in Muskegon is absolutely, hands-down, the best place to shop for a new or used vehicle! It's my hope Tom is still there in eight more years when I start car-shopping for my daughter!
