When the girl in the collision shop was checking my vehicle over she noticed it was an accessible vehicle (converted in the rear for my daughter's wheelchair). She asked me about it and if I had rental insurance. I told her that the conversion is for my daughter, its the only way I can transport her. I told her I have rental on my insurance but it only covers a small sedan but we can make it work, we always do. She asked me where you rent converted vehicles and I told her I always do business with The Creative Mobility Group in Byron Center. At that time she told me "We'll cover the extra rental fees". I was shocked. I knew that was at least $100 a day they were offering to pay. I assured her that we could make it work without a converted van (I just wouldn't be able to bring my daughter anywhere for the week, but we could manage just fine) and she insisted on helping us out and paying that extra fee for us. They ended up having our vehicle for 5 days and they paid the extra fees for the van. They did NOT have to do that and I didn't even ask. They saw a need and they went above and beyond to help make sure my daughter could be transported if need be. I will always use Preferred Ram Chrysler Jeep Dodge on Henry street for any of our repairs, etc. They have always done good by us but this was beyond what they had to do. This Muffler Man team went out of their way to find the parts and got the job done (with a minor set-back). Then we discovered a seal leak in the transfer case/transmission... but as we discovered during the initial fix, parts are very hard to find. This car tied up one of their repair bays for three days TWICE for a total of six days, while Rich searched the entire country for parts. Even after more damage the second time around, parts were found and the job was completed. AND because the second repair was under warranty I was not required to pay for parts... AND because Rich has a great team and superb customer service, I was not charged for labor, either. WOW! What more can I say? The second repair cost was ZERO! They also have great pricing on other services, like the muffler work they did on my other car and the full service oil change. I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MUFFLER MAN SHOP. They kept me well informed throughout the process. My truck is a diesel Colorado, which is uncommon. I thought I needed a starter. Rosewood determined that mechanically my truck was fine and the issue was likely somewhere in the truck's electronics. However, they did not have the specialized diagnostic equipment needed to determine which component was the issue. Although they spent significant time working on my truck, they charged me $0.00 and recommended a near-by shop more specialized in diesel repair. I had an original appointment Friday June 26 at 9:30am for my 2013 rav4 at a dealership an hour…read moreaway from our house. The first offer was made to buy the car, which I asked for an appraisal as we didn't know what we were looking at for repairs and wanted to know our options. We were told we were looking at 10 hours of diagnostics, understandable as we had brought it to a local shop and they had become stomped after a few repairs and recommended a toyota dealership to fully fix it. I made it clear this was our everyday car so we would need it back asap but understand things can take time. I made multiple attempts over multiple days to contact our technician Brenden (phone calls, voicemails, and texts) and was ignored. Thursday July 2nd diagnosed as being the brake actuator, was told that it was possible that wasn't the issue for 2k and told it would take a week or so to get the part in. Looked into potentially selling the car and was contacted to sell it but after what they offered and looking at the current car market we decided to keep it and go forward with repairs and suddenly they could mark the part as critical to get it in sooner. I was called Tuesday July 7th saying the part was in and the car should be done by the end of the week. I was contacted Thursday July 9th trying to buy the car again while at work. Contacted twice Friday July 10th to buy the car and told my rav4 was desirable to grow their used car lot, once again while I was at work. At this point there was still no word on repairs. On monday July 13 I sent our tech Brennan a frustrated text that morning in which he called me shortly after saying they got the part in the car on Friday and it fixed some codes but some were remaining and that they were in the process of taking the steering wheel angle sensor out to test it but if we needed a new one that they could ship it overnight. I asked for the cost for that part and was ignored. Sent a follow up text Tuesday morning on if they had any updates on the car and was ignored again. Text again Wednesday and nothing until I called and demanded answers. They said we would have a final quote Thursday at noon and offered a minimal discount off the total service. Noon came and went without any word and have tried contacting them multiple times with no answer. Finally got a hold of them and they said they would overnight the part and have it in by 9 am and that he would communicate with me when it arrived. 9 came and went and I text him and the part had arrived but they guaranteed my car would be done on Friday July 17th by 5pm. I text my tech at 4pm letting him know to keep me updated as we live an hour away and I didn't want to drive all the way there if something happened. 5pm came and went with no answer until we called them. Apparently the part was a "dud" and they missed the overnight shipping by a "half hour" and now will not have the part until Tuesday morning. As of Friday July 17th they have had my car for 3 weeks. I know a decent amount about car repairs and diagnosis does not take an entire week (they themselves even said 10 hours and are open for service 6 days a week with most days being from 7:30-7), or testing a single part does not take multiple days on end. At this point this feels intentional and sleazy because they have made it abundantly clear they want to buy my car from me and all I want is clear communication on what is happening. The Muskegon toyota dealership is under the my auto imports umbrella that own the muskegon toyota, muskegon nissan, my lakeshore subaru in nunica, my grand rapids mitsubishi and I know I will never be doing business with any of those places ever again and I advise others to do the same and avoid the headache I have dealt with. I wish I would have taken my car to the toyota dealership in Traverse City as it feels like its being held hostage.

I completely understand the supply chain shortages and staffing shortages right now. But the quality of the work was awful. Every SINGLE thing they fixed was broken when I got it back. New passenger door wouldn't unlock, new radiator and heat didn't work, new headlight was out, and front and back washer fluid switches were switched. Ridiculous.
