I bought a 2015 Subaru Outback from them and within a month had to replace the engine. I thought I was buying a decent car so I turned down the warranty. It drove amazing on the test drive and seemed like an amazing car. I did a compression test on it and all 4 cylinders only had 100psi. I dont know for a fact if anyone there knew the car was in bad shape or not but was told it was an awesome car. Kind of crappy they did not offer any assistance at all even though it happened within a month would have bee nice to have some help. Will never return to Johnson Auto sales for any reason. Here we are over a month waiting for my license plate. Current paper plate is now expired. Called to talk to Brad at 10 in the morning allegedly he had someone in his office for 8 hours no call back. Called back next day got Ryan he said he would call back in 5 mins. Got a call from a female can't remember her name that gave me some bs the dmv has been super backed up not willing to admit they dropped the ball. Now paper plate is expired still waiting for tin plate to show. Definitely will not be doing business with this organization again. read more

I want to start this off by saying this place is super friendly and they did everything they could in financing to make sure my wife could get the car she wanted. Please note that I take blame for signing the buy it as is papers I know they cannot fall under any blame on the terrible deal that I received and I respect that and therefore did not reach out to get mad at anyone over the phone. However, I extremely urge everyone who purchases a car from here to test drive it straight to your mechanic shop to have the vehicle inspected thoroughly before making any purchases. Heard from some friends that they had bought some bad apples from here but overlooked it because the vehicle we were getting is only 4 years old and seemed to be really nice. First con I had was upon getting the vehicle home my wife wanted to take their smiley sticker off the window so I did only to find that the window had a chip in it that the sticker was put over top of so not to be noticed. The next day my wife tells me her passenger floorboard is saturated with water. Upon further inspection of pulling carpet back and taking the seat out I see this car has standing water in the floorboard and the secondary battery and fuse box is all super corroded from the moisture damage. Would probably have been able to see the condensation on the windows had they not let it warm up for 10-15 minutes before having me test drive it (the windows fog up super bad every night due to the extreme water content in and under the carpet). Also was told we were receiving a 'bumper to bumper' warranty which wasn't true because that warranty expires at 3 years or 36k miles. Car has 40k miles going on year 4 and that warranty is void. The warranty they sold us doesn't cover nearly as much as it was seemed to be and now I'm looking at spending 100's to 1000's to fix this water issue on a $30k car. I'm also no used car salesman so I cant say how it works but was disappointed to see there is 4 recalls on this vehicle that haven't been done, two being big suspension issues with possibility of the wheel coming off and I just feel like that stuff should be addressed before reselling a vehicle, like I said this car is for my wife (I VIN searched the vehicle after running into these issues). I will be taking care of these recalls and dumping money at it to try and repair the water damage and stop the leak because we signed the papers taking all blame off of Johnsons but with that said we will definitely shop elsewhere next time. Only posting this review in hopes that people will do serious inspections of the vehicle before buying it from here because I trusted their inspections and I shouldn't have. read more
