This was one of the worst experiences I've EVER had at a manicurist! I was deceived. I asked for a basic manicure for $18. They gave me a gel manicure. I did not know what that was. He charged me $40 but when I said I wanted a basic manicure he told me he'd only charge me $18. The owner, Ken, promised he would reverse my charges. He never did. I guess he thought I was a dumb woman. There was no refund on my credit card. Instead, there was a $40 charge. HE LIED TO ME! BEWARE!!! read more

My daughter used to take me here as a birthday and mothers day treat, and I always enjoyed both the experience and the results of my lovely nails. But I live in Petaluma, and had my own regular nail place that was convenient to me. Due to Covid and my daughter moving out, had not been here for at least two years. As long as My Lovely Nails stays open, I never want to go anywhere else! I went today with two of my adult daughters, and we all agreed they are a five star nail salon. The pampering, the professional results and the price cannot be beat. Well worth making the drive from Petaluma to Rohnert Park for such excellence! I took my brothers Fiancé with me to have some bonding time. We enjoyed the pedicures. Didn't need an appointment. It was also maybe 2:30 in the afternoon. The massage chairs were hitting the right spot. The technicians were firm but gentle. I loved that they used a scrub on my feet and calves before massaging in lotion with hot stones and wrapping my feet in a hot towel. Very relaxing experience. She is from Texas and loved the experience and said her feet hadn't felt that soft in a long time. read more

A friend from work gave me a gift certificate 2 years ago. I just found it and called to see if they would still take it. They assured me they honor all certificates even if they are expired. I had a wonderful mani/pedi by Lin. The place is small, but it makes it more homey. You can tell they have regular customers that come in. I will be one from now on! read more

I was in town visiting a friend recently and needed to get my nails done. My friend loves this place so we popped in to see if we could get gel manicures. It was late on a Thursday and they were pretty busy. There were only 4 manicurists but they were all busy. We waited for about 30 minutes and it was totally worth it. I got to go first. My manicurist was a gentlemen, I did not catch his name but according to his state board license his last name is Nguyen. My manicurist at home usually does the gel soak off with foil and then uses a metal cuticle pusher to scrape off the gel. He did this but instead of a cuticle pusher he used a salon drimmel tool. I've never had it done this way but found it very efficient. I chose #18 to be applied over #24. A medium purple underneath a chunky pink glitter. He did his best to get as much glitter on my nails as possible, even applying it so thick that after each application he had to wipe the sides. One of the nails had "leaked" on the edge after the gel had set. He used the drimmel tool to fix it and now I can't even tell which nail it was! After the gel was set he did a really nice hand and arm massage. I wasn't even expecting that because my girl back home doesn't even do that. The gel manicure price was $25, what a steal! I will definitely come here again when I visit Sonoma County. read more

This usually doesn't worry me bc this is their profession. However the out come brought me so near to tears !!!! My toenails were different shapes and sizes ! I sat in front and another woman approaches me, as I am clearly upset and says " where is your little to nail?" Did a walk-in for 2 pedicures and 1 manicure for a little birthday trip. We got amazing service from a gentleman we didn't get his name and Lien who did 2 of our services. She was so sweet, made great conversation, and did a 5 Star job! They both did! Would highly recommend this place. I moved here recently and am so glad I came across this nail salon for my regular pamper time. Also all utensils used are sterile! They opened fresh packaging in front of us to show. I love this salon. My mom and I have been going here for years. Very sweet and down to earth owners and staff. This place has the best pedicure for the value that I've found. My feet always feel so so clean and pampered after leaving here. Every other place I give a chance in terms of a pedicure, I end up hating. Other salons charge a fortune and rub your feet for 2 seconds before stopping and doing a terrible polish job. I no longer live in town but will still continue to make the drive just to get my pedi here. The owners always ask about my family and make me feel special and appreciated for keeping my business with them over the years. They nail (no pun intended) the job every time. This place is really hit or miss. I guess it really depends on when you go and who is working. The guys that work there are great! I've gotten some great manis and pedis. But after moving back to Rohnert Park from San Francisco.. I don't know if they went a little downhill or if my expectations were just higher. I was getting a mani with my sister for a wedding and my girl completely rushed through it. The main reason I was there was because I had recently had acrylic removed and I had a lot of hangnails. I really felt like I could have done a better job on my own.. I left with just about every hangnail I walked in with. Plus she spent the whole time talking to the girl working on my sister. I still give this place 4 stars because bad experiences like that do not happen often. This place is very clean and large.. I just wish they had more people working.. Horrible place rude staff treated me like crap and spoke there language....

Here is an update... within a week of getting a new full set, my nails started to look terrible and were lifting. I have always asked any nail place if they could not over use a drill on my nail bed... a simple request and easy to accommodate for most shops. I was told that by not using a drill enough on my nails, that it would run the risk of lifting. I said my nails never lift but go ahead and do what he had to do to ensure they would not lift. One week and lifted and continue to lift. So bottom line will be looking for a new place to go. It is sad that they are not accountable for their work. They take in so many people that they do not feel they need your business to care about the customer.... read more

The worst $27 I have ever spent. I got my nails done out here before a rehearsal dinner. The guy that did my nails didn't even shape my nails the same even though I asked him to. I am new to the area and went to My Lovely Nails because they are close to my house and I wanted to find a local place. I went for a mani/pedi on a Sunday morning, around 11:30. I had gone in the day before and they were so packed and there was a 15 minute wait, so I decided to call ahead for the following day and make an appointment. I arrived and there was only one other woman there so I picked my color and was seated at the furthest pedicure chair from the front door. There wasn't a lot of light in that corner, and it showed on my nails once I left the salon. The pedicure was nice and relaxing. She used a citrus salt scrub and that was a neat addition, and then she used lotion with the leg and foot massage. I really liked the way she worked on my calves during the leg massage. The girl doing my pedicure asked if her co-worker could do my manicure while I was sitting in the chair. I had no problem with that...until she got started on my manicure. Rather than move from side to side to work on each hand, she had me reaching across my chest and holding my arm up for long periods of time while she filed and worked on my nails. It was not very comfortable or relaxing at all. I should have said something or asked her to move to the other side because there was no one sitting next to me, but I thought maybe she'd notice the awkward position in which she kept putting my hand/arms, but she didn't. When the ladies were done working on me, I noticed many mistakes on my nails once I stepped outside into the sunshine...areas that were faded, smudged and missing polish, but she most likely couldn't tell because of the poor lighting. My feet looked and felt good, but I think next time I'll skip the mani/pedi and just stick to the pedicure alone. It was $30.00 for both services, which isn't bad, but the manicure was not the greatest due to all the noticeable imperfections and at times, discomfort while getting the manicure, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4. I'll give them another shot next time I need a pedicure, but I think I'll skip the manicure. read more

This place is the best. I'm really picky about nail salons and have tried dozens in sonoma county. They always use sterilized instruments fresh from the packaging. The staff is super friendly and the owner, Kenny is always here. He is very nice and has a great sense of humor. Not something I expected in a nail salon, but now have come to appreciate! Gel Manicures always last at least three weeks an prices are fair. $25 for gel manicure, I can't remember price for pedicure; it's cheap, though. My only complaint is that they're on the slow side. It's inconsistent. Sometimes I'm out of there in a half hour, sometimes over an hour. I just only go now on days where I have nowhere to be afterwards. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for pedis today & it was all around a fabulous experience. It was his first time getting a pedi & they made him feel super comfortable and welcome even though he was the only male in the salon. Their massage routine here seems much longer than most salons, and they really seem to take the time to give you a massage worth your money. I also noticed their prices are reasonably cheaper than most places, which I love. The woman that did my boyfriend, and the man that did mine were excellent, super friendly, and very attentive and seemed to truly care about their work. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone!
