I have been going to my lovely nails forever two years. The husband and wife do wonderful jobs. I've never had one bad nail job or pedicure. Well this is my go to place, very close in my neighborhood. I have to say it NEVER disappoints! My daughter and I have patronized them for over 15 years. May and her husband give 100% to their craft. I have frequented this establishment in the past and have been very pleased with their service. I called this morning at about 9:45 AM to make a reservation for 12:30 PM. I was assured that they had time to take me. My first clue should have been that they didn't ask for my name when I made the reservation. The female that answered the phone just said, "I'll see you at 12:30." I was about two minutes late getting there because of finding a parking space. Lunch time, obviously, is not the best time to frequent this place because there are so many restaurants in the area. However, upon entering the establishment I was greeted with, "pick your color." I indicated that I had a reservation at 12:30 PM with Lee. Nothing else was said to me, I took a seat in the waiting area and noticed that the 2 foot stations available were not prepared, they were still dirty from the last patrons, and nothing was said to me about, "I'll see you in five minutes or we're running a little bit behind, or I'm sorry for having to keep you waiting." After waiting for 10 minutes I went outside and called another pedicure company and made an appointment. I then let the woman that had answered the phone know that I didn't have time to wait until they were finished with the folks they were working on at the time. Both pedicurist didn't even acknowledge my statement. I then left. I was very disappointed because this is one of my, "to go" places for pedicures. I will be deleting them from my contacts because of poor service and simply not acknowledging me in a businesslike manner. read more

It was definitely not worth 70 dollars. I got a mani pedi by May (I think that was her name) did such a sloppy job. I think it was because I told her I don't live around here anymore so she felt like she didn't have to try. She didn't shape my nails at all, the gel was all over my cuticles and the gel on my pedi was lumpy. I did ask her to fix it but it didn't look much different and she just rushed even more. My nails were still jagged and the color was really really dull. I would have just had her remove it all and left but she charged me before she was even finished. SHADY! I will never recommend this nails place. Everytime I go there even if I use gel for manicure and pedicure, they chip so quickly - in a day or two. With gel, if other nail salon does it- it can stay for months. I called them if they could fix it they said no because the owner claims "there's no guarantee". I don't understand why it only happens that the gel manicure and pedicure chips if it's done by them. I suspect, their products are the cheap ones. When you have your nails done in Montgomery Village, San Francisco- they don't chip at all. You get what you pay for. No wonder their prices are cheaper. This was my first time coming here and my friends second time. My friend and I went to get a pedicure and this was my experience: We had a 4:00 appointment and it took them 15 minutes to get started on us, I never experience such a long wait at any other nail salon, especially with an appointment. Also the price for a pedicure listed inside stated $20 each but when we were done and ready to pay it was $25 each.. so that was odd. Also the people working here weren't very friendly or social, at least appear to be happy or even a fake smile making myself feel good about giving you my business. I started coming to this nail salon about 6 months ago after going to a different one for a year in Bennett valley. I decided to look for a new nail shop because I was unhappy with the quality my last salon was producing. I was recommended to my lovely nails by a friend, and since I recently moved to the area I decided to try them out. SO HAPPY I DID!! I have never had such great quality of acrylic nails at this pricing. In the past six months I haven't broken or chipped a nail and haven't had lifting before my fills each 3ish weeks. Currently I have a set on that is 4 weeks old that I'm waiting to start lifting so it isn't painful to remove since I want a new set. The customer service is great and they've always been ready for me when I come in for my appointment. The pedicures are also fabulous. I love the hot stones and leg massage that is included! I called 30 minutes before arriving and asked how much for an acrylic gel fill- he said $25 - I get there and all of a sudden goes from 25 to 30.. apparently they charge to cut your nails and another 3 dollars for idk what.. I've had a problem with both big toes for years where the pressure under the nail causes discomfort at times based on shoes worn or activities like bike riding. A couple of years ago I started making the rounds to all the nail places, in Santa Rosa, looking for relief. Just having the nails trimmed helped but yesterday I felt I was given a miracle. I explained how I had broken both toes working the oil rigs many years ago and how they had never fully recovered. Without any prompting the tops of the nails were shaved and the material between the nail and flesh removed. The result is unbelievable. My feet haven't felt this good since my college years. A month ago my girlfriend and I tried yet another establishment but though my toes looked good there was no real relief. Last week we had a wedding to go to and she brought the bride and out of town guests to My Lovely Nails based on someone's recommendation. After her experience there she insisted I try the same. Just left Lovely nails...worst mani-pedi I've ever had. Very sloppy work from both the man and woman. The man did my feet, he left nail polish on the skin of my toes, he barely massaged my feet and made me hold my own leg up while he barely scrubbed the bottoms of my feet. My gel mani was just as bad. She left nail polish on my cuticles and on my finger tips. The tips of my nails were still rough. When asked if she could fix that, she said just use baby oil when you get home. WOW!! WELL, NO TIP FOR EITHER OF THEM AND I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE . THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO TAKE PEOPLES MONEY FOR SUCH CRAPPY WORK. read more

I did say if they didn't have the color that I'd take something close but there was no mention of not having the color and this color wasn't close. There's no massage. They do put lotion on you but it's in the way that you put lotion on yourself at home. I still tipped because my nails did appear to look good when I left although upon further inspection, the nail tech painted past my cuticles so my gel manicure is going to lift in no time. read more

Two times I have made appointments for nails. First time I showed up to my appointment 5 minutes early and didn't get helped until 20 minutes after my appointment. Second time they wanted to help me 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. They take appointments when they do not even have time. My go-to nail place. Staff is nice and friendly. Cant beat the prices. Always get a pedicure here once a month. They do a great job and really scrub your feet and massage your legs for at least a good 5 minutes. Pedicure chairs are super comfotable and they offer magazines to read to pass the time. I made a face to face appt. for the next day, she said they opened at ten, so I took the first appt. I was there 5 minutes early, no one was even there? The store was still closed. I headed back to my car, as I was getting ready to leave, I saw the possible proprietors, just parking their car. I waited and went back to the meet them. The woman asked me if I had appt. ( duh! why else would I be there and why wouldn't she know...I made it the day before with her). I told her I would give her a few minutes to open up sanitize etc.and I would run to get my color from the car.
