I don't like to give low ratings to any business. But unfortunately I just did not get a nice welcoming vibe. Pedicure was ok. Was done and dusted in 20 min. very half hearted. Mani was barely 15 min with not enough dipping time in warm water or cuticle cream. Which meant that cuticles were still dry and hurt while trimming. Again no cream on the arm. I called to make an appointment for a basic pedi and powder manicure and was scheduled for a day I requested later in the evening than ideal, but it worked. The day before, the salon calls and asks if I can go in earlier so I rearranged my schedule to go in same day. Neither of these phone calls did they say it was cash only, but I had read from previous reviews so I arrived prepared. I was helped by Pammy. She was friendly and welcoming. The salon is very well maintained. I told her I had pictures and if she could help me match the colors and she did. They didn't have an exact match, but I liked the color we picked together. The basic pedi is very basic; Pammy was gentle and her touch was as light. She did pause to talk at points which was fine since I was in no major hurry. There is no real massage, more of a light rub in the lower legs and some gentle tugs at the toes. For the powder manicure, there was no soaking in water (this was my second powder manicure and forgot if that's not part of it anyway). She still take off most of the grown out cuticle. The filing of the powder was a little more rough than expected. No hand massage either. Overall I didn't feel as "pampered" as I typically like to feel when I get my nails done, but she did exactly as I asked. read more

Small shop, just 2 ladies working when I came in for my pre made full set appointment. First of all, cash only...i wasnt told that when i called to make the appointment but regardless my bank was walking distance so I was able to run for some. Im a simple girl, natural SQUARE acrylics. Even though it's a simple look I always have to show a picture because somehow it gets messed up. Showed my picture and said "really squared, squared squared please". I say this for a reason, after all the filing somehow square turns into coffin and i hate that look! The tech said she understood. My nails look beautiful, dont get me wrong...but she used stiletto tips(WHY!!!?) i asked her if she had square tips because i dont like the narrow look, but she said that after cutting they would be square, lies...not my first rodeo. I clearly see the narrowing towards the tips. She did a good job at trying to shape to square but why not just use square tips to make the customer happy? 3 stars because she did a good job, the look nice...maybe I'm just too picky, but to me square means square, not stiletto and cut to square. read more

This is my last Yelp Review for 2020. My husband and I took a much needed break and decided to travel to Sonoma County due to our favorite place in Napa being booked solid. We rented an old home 1906, beautifully decorated in the heart of Santa Rosa. My nails and feet were shot from not having a single manicure in 7 months. I walked into this shop and Yen was so polite and friendly. The other lady, I believe her name was Stacy was so sweet and patient as she "declawed" my hideous toes from the miles I put on them over the past 7 months. I keep looking at my feet and hands, they look SOOOO much better! I also would like to mention that this shop is very clean and sanitary. If I lived in Santa Rosa, I would be their steady client. Please try them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 3:00 and I was 15 minutes late to it, and I apologize that I was. The lady with the two spaced buns didnt acknowledged me being late and told me to sit down and pick my color. She was still working with a client and there was only 1 other lady that was working with a client as well. So, 2 in total that were occupied with clients. Then it was about 3:40ish and another client came in. The lady with the space buns just finished her client at 3:58 and told me that the lady that came after me is going first before me because of me being 30 min. Late. Which I wasn't. It was not right to make me wait 30-35 min and then tell me That I have to wait after the next person that came after me. She was not kind and didn't care for me as a client. Go to Santa Rosa nails! Don't bother making an appointment, they will not keep your appointment unless you make it with a specific person. We waited 40 minutes after our appointment time. That is the first sign that we should have left. The quality of work is poor. I got a dip manicure that started falling off within 3 days. They made my nails so thick that they were deformed looking. I went to another nail salon to fix a few of the nails a few days after getting them done and the nail artist laughed at how ridiculous my nails looked. Many other salons around take pride in their work, no need to go to this one. read more

The shop does a consistently great job and Yen rocks the long lasting, quality gel nails. I've been going here for about 3 years, and have exclusively seen Yen since she took over about 2 (?) years ago. QUARANTINE UPDATE: I attached a photo of my nails since my last appt (March 10)...almost 7 weeks ago (!) and my gel nails are still going quite strong. Thank goodness I chose a translucent sparkle before the shelter-in-place order as it is subtle with the new growth. I've had to file my nails down twice and the gel is holding up! I want to start out by saying that the inside of the salon is SUPER cute! There are mirrors on the ceiling and on the walls and even though it's not the biggest space, they have managed to decorate it so beautifully. I made an appointment and went in a couple of days ago, and even though my nails were a hot mess because of the gel coating it had, the manicurist did a nice job removing them. But I will say that she and the other associate kept trying to tell me that I had my fingers dipped in powder, when I know my manicurist that typically does my nails puts a gel coating on them. I didn't quite appreciate them continuously telling me this but I was polite and tried explained to them what it was. Anyways, back to my experience and why I took one star off. The woman who did my nails did a nice job overall and charged me very decently for all the work that she had to do. And I appreciated that more than anything. But I did notice that my nails are already falling apart and my nails are chipping, which tells me that she didn't coat it enough with a nail protectant. I definitely want to go back to experience a pedicure with them as I'm looking for a good place that does it, so we shall see! read more

My feet aren't my greatest asset so I'll skip the photo of them, but believe me when I say, they look the best they ever have! She took great care and time in doing my toes. She also was generous wth the SHIMMER AND GLITTER!! Yen was gentle in the removal of my old acrylics and helped me decide that doing dip powder was best for my newly grown out nails, wanting to transition away from acrylics. I chose pink and white hombre with glitter tips. They came out so good, the rest of the ladies in the salon were envious they didn't choose the same! (I believe anyway! ) Though time consuming, I couldn't help but appreciate what an art form this was. She took her time and creatively and intentionally dusted what looks like fairy dust over my hands! Yes, this place lives up to the hype. I decided to wait a week before my post and before taking a picture to see how well my nails would hold up. Great news, they are flawless!! I walked in and requested natural looking acrylics with gel nail polish. Yen was fast and flawless. She frequently checked with me to make sure that I was happy with the shape and length. The salon looks clean and updated. You could tell a lot of the clients are regulars. My nails still look great a week later- and I'm not easy on them! I will be back for a fill and a pedicure. I came in for an apt on a saturday. the vibes are relaxed. the inside decor is beautiful. they give you some snacks by the water dispenser. the only down side is it's pretty pricey(in my opinion). i received a gel pedicure and gel manicure. the total cost came out to 115$. the gel pedicure did not come with a scrub, or the hot stones. usually when i get gel peds anywhere else it does. the paint came off my toe within 3 days. so far, almost a week later and all my hand nails are still intact. read more
